Excellent family accommodation in the heart of Beirut. A little outdated but very acceptable considering the country's economic situation. Very good hospitality from all the hotel staff. Rooms are relatively spacious and very clean. We got a connecting room for the children, which could be reserved/confirmed beforehand. Locations is great and in close proximity of most city attractions. Breakfast could be enriched a bit more, but it wasn't a big issue. Didn't face any security issues or any problems with electricity outages. Overall, a recommended hotel for families if you're looking to stay in downtown Hamra.
Nice hotel and professional staff , Pretty design for rooms and hotel very recommended for all and specially the location it’s in the heart of Lebanon The restaurant it’s good but need more different platters
Arriving from Canada at 2 am with 8 bags and we were exhausted. We were greeted by the night shift front desk with a big welcoming smile, escorted us to our clean, chilly room where we found a nice set up of a fruit basket and some delicious sweets (thanks to front desk manager Wael) whom I met the next morning and he was so accommodating and professional. Made us feel like home. Very quickly, we memorized the names of all the staff members and they became like our family. They would go out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Then we met with GM Mr. Toufic who introduced himself and asked if there’s anything to contact him. The perfect man for the job. His personality and professionalism reflects on the staff and hotel. If you are reading this because you wanted a second opinion. MAKE SURE TO BOOK AT CASA DOR. You will have the best real experience in Beirut!…
They called me to confirm that i am on my way to check in. I got an email with all confirming. When i arrived to lobby i was shocked to know that hotel could not accommodate me. Front desk didnt even try to explain. One of the worst experiences i had.
I stayed 4 nights in this hotel while partial lockdown in Beirut. But it was amazing experience. Clean room, friendly people around. I felt very comfortable. Breakfast was brought to me in the room every morning whenever I asked for it. Also they had happy hours in the downstairs lounge, which was also convenient, as one of the rainy day didn’t want to go anywhere, so lounge was a perfect option to spend time there. And plus 50% discount on beverages. My trip to Beirut have a wonderful memories because it’s beautiful and also because of my hotel.
Stayed for three nights just as protests were at their height in the city in October 2019. This place was an oasis of calm. All facilities very good indeed. Breakfast delicious! In particular the front desk lady with long curly light-coloured hair, whose name I never got, was so helpful and kind and friendly when I needed a bit of advice about what I could do and where I could go. Would definitely visit again. Many thanks.
A very great location and clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. In heart of Al Hamra street. Free valet if you have a car which a very good idea. Nice breakfast. But it’s a little bit expensive compared to neighbors hotels :)
We stayed for 3 nights. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a business suite by Marwan the manager. Make sure to meet this wonderful gentleman. The hotel is a better 4 star and more like 4 and a half star hotel. Top position on the corner of Hamra Street for shopping and restaurants. Staff especially the girls at reception are wonderful. The room was spacious clean with modern furniture. Breakfast is plentiful with best vegetable omelet. The price is very reasonable. Our gratitude to all the staff who made us feel like welcome guests. We look forward to our next visit.
My mum and I arrived at this hotel and the staff were very friendly, helped us check-in very quickly. We were upgraded to having kitchenette on arrival which was a nice surprise. Our rooms were very clean and was cleaned everyday if requested. The breakfast buffet we had every morning was delicious, and was nice to see Lebanese traditional food and cuisine such as foul, yoghurt, thyme bread (zaater)! My mum and I were no disappointed and always came out content with the quantity of quality of food they had available. In terms of location, it is in the centre of Hamra which made it nearby to almost everything, like a 10-15 minute to the beach and all the shops were nearby. Though it did require a service taxi to go to downtown but they only cost 2000lbp each which is less than £2 to go anywhere in Beirut. So all in all, really great place and I recommend to anyone!…
I’ve stayed in Casa D’or hotel for 6 nights. The room was cozy, comfortable, air conditioned and super clean. The staff are so welcoming and smiley specially for those you can meet at the reception. This hotel is in Hamra street, and near to a lot of restaurants, cafes, pharmacies and markets. I recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a very good and affordable hotel in Beirut.
