Mayflower is not for people who want to have a nice view. Mayflower is for people who want to stay in the center of Hamra, have a drink or two in a very nice bar, have a descent breakfast and a clean room for a good price. The staff is just wonderful.

Situated in West Beirut, the Mayflower Hotel has an excellent location for a reasonable price. The rooms are a good size with beautiful well equipped bathrooms. They are a little tired though and could do with being refreshed. As westerners we were quite disappointed with the breakfast because of its lack of variety. If the breakfast was improved, I think... Old hotel and old flare, located very conveniently near Hamra. Rooms are old but clean, it's my second time there and I'll stay again when I visit alone. I like Hamra street and I visit at the night the restaurants and the shops. Great value the room rate.

In general the hotel is very good, located in great location just a few steps from the famous Al Hamra street. The breakfast buffet is good,a variety of Lebanese breakfast dishes. The room service is good.

The Mayflower is a very well known hotel in Ras Beirut, it's one of the older ones. The rooms are probably not as modern as they could be, but all the basics are there: AC, TV, Minibar, Room service, WiFi & Internet… Everything is very clean and the staff is very friendly.

This has been my base in Beirut for 17 years. It has a good location just off the main Rue Hamra and also close to American University of Beirut. Very accommodating staff, clean and tidy, often get an upgrade to a suite, good bar atmosphere especially on a Friday evening happy hour. Breakfast suites for every taste. Free wifi is... More

I arrived running late for a meeting. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, checking me in quickly, finding me a taxi, and helping me with the address i needed to go to. Cleaning staff were also really helpful. Room was comfortable and fine. Everything worked well. Good hot water, bath. Big soft bed. Also wonderfully located. All in all, good,... More

Overall not a bad hotel, good location, close to hundreds of bars, restaurants and the sea. However, the pictures on the website are obviously dated! This place doesn't look anymore like that. Though the bedding and bathroom were clean, the walls were stained, there was mould everywhere. Everyone in our group complained about mosquitoes.. In March! It would be worth... More

I just spent one the night there. The room is confortable and the service correct. A small renovation / refreshing is needed. The staff was kind. Rooms are not sound proof so you'll be hearing the hamra street noise. Overall a good 4*
