Some may say it's tired... I say it's classic and safe. This place won't set the world on fire but it's great location... breakfast included (not bad but not special) clean. Good sized rooms. Bathrooms with bath. Friendly reception with security. They booked me a return taxi to airport for 25 dollars. As a backpacker normally this is luxury for...

I have stayed at the Mayflower Hotel in Beirut for four decades, including once during the Civil War. I like the location, between Hamra and the American University of Beirut. At about $50 U.S. per night, it is good value. The hotel has been updated some over the years and is much better than when I was last here 5...

I have rated Mayflower before during my very first visit to this hotel. I have now stayed at this hotel at least 10 times and therefore choose to rate it again as I belive my experience with so many visits is valuable. I can't say anything wrong about this hotel. It's right off of Hamra in a quiet street surrounded by restaurants, a supermarket, off licence and even a post office. There are taxi drivers outside the whole time and they can arrange a pick up at the airport. The hotel is family run by Sherif who is absolutely charming. I emailed...

I spent a week long at The Mayflower Hotel. It has an exceptional location due to the proximity to the local super market (Co-Op), Dry Cleaners, and especially a rapid walk over to the Hamra Street. The staff are friendly and responsive, The hotel room is clean, and has a safety box for your use. The hotel is not necessarily...
