I know that some people would like to go to fancy hotels when they are visiting Beirut but this hostel is the best stay. I have been to several hotels in Beirut and I always find my best experience is Talal hostel. The owner is a great helpful guy and the place is cheap and located near downtown shopping area,... Location is perfect, closed to Downtown(Souks – shopping centre), Gemmayzeh(bars&cafes&restaurants), port and bus station Charles Helou. We lived in the best room on the top floor with a terrace , we liked views . No elevator , but the climb is not difficult. Mr Zahar (owner) drew a map and explained how to get somewhere. If you are traveling independently,... More

Gentle interactions. -Simple and clean with appropriate price in comparison to other hostels with the same level. -Multicultural community, where all people act as unity family. -The location in Beirut is very central to explore Lebanon. -I consider this budget hostel provide exceptional services because i didn't find in other places since they were guiding me with good explanation maps... But, ho boy, during the last trip I did in Lebanon (mostly in winter), Talal Hotel was THE place to be! I reallz hope other people will go there as well and... More

Talal is a barebones hostel; we stayed in a private room with bathroom. The hotel is well located Down Town and a short walk to Hamra and Gemmayzeh Streets, Souk, central mosque and churches. The owner of the hotel is very friendly and prepared to help with getting local information and seeing parts of Beiruit and Lebanon. Accommodation is expensive... More

That was the most disgusting place I ever stayed in..I'm a experienced traveler which stayed in many hostels and guest houses around the world, but nothing compare with this one..the owner was at the desk when we arrived, and he assigned me a bed next to the reception( maybe he was afraid that I will run away, or something)..the level... The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were basic but comfortable. We had a balcony, which we enjoyed. The hotel is off a main road down a side street so it was quiet and we slept well. The location was excellent. I wouldn't bother staying anywhere else in Beirut. The best value for money in town. Reasonably priced airport... More
