Detailed Reviews
firstly thank you to all the previous accurate descriptions for this hotel, they were helpful. now about this place... i ll begin by saying that unfortunately the critique cannot be objective bec every room is served differently. the maid in one might not be the same in another. so , for example, some rooms had complementary umbrellas some didnt. the only reliable complementary item was large bottle of water every day. there was a washing liquid in shower ( it smelled nice ) and towels were changed daily. sheets were not changed the 4 nights i stayed. i tried to leave tip for maid daily but they didnt take the money. i had to call a maid the last day so that i could give her the tip. they are strange in reception as well. not what you call polite to visitors. i speak some arabic so i could tell they found it odd when i asked for directions. they dont know by the way. have a map with you. ( that is general for beirut; nobody knows anything ).the breakfast is poor but ok. the staff is AWFUL. i asked what the a sertain soup was and the answer was "food". i asked for the name and he said he doesnt speak english. but the evening staff is very polite. generally, dont go here expecting "nice behaviour" but a very convenient location. it is surrounded by anything you might need and you can walk or take a taxi depending where you go. have low expectations but enjoy beirut; it is beautiful.

Stayed here for a few nights. The location was great as it is just a stone throw from Hamra Street where there are lots of restaurants. It is also within walkable distance to the beach. Had a room which faced a residential building and hence there's no much view which was a pity. Perhaps rooms facing the other side will have a better view. The room was spacious, clean and has a big comfortable bed. It also has a microwave and pot for boiling hot water.
Basic bathroom amenities are provided and it came with a the rain shower. Loved it.
Staff were friendly and also helpful with giving directions to places of interests around the area.

This review is long overdue! Layal at the front desk was kind enough to upgrade my room to a suite on arrival. This hotel is located in the middle of Hamra district, within walking distance to lots of pubs, restaurants and the corniche. The breakfast was great, the rooms were clean, the internet was fast and the gym had the essentials! The rooms can get noisy at night on the weekends due to the bars infront of the hotel playing loud music. I generally don't mind that. If you're in Beiruit to enjoy the sights and sounds, this hotel is highly recommended.

The most amazing thing about this hotel is the location. Gems hotel is located a few steps from Elhamra street 10 minutes walk to Elrawsha coastal area. Many restaurants , coffee shops, stores and supermarkets are surrounding the hotel. I am going to rate cleanliness and room furniture by 5/5 but shampoo and shower gel 2/5 since I found one thing in my bathroom and till now I don't know if it was a shampoo or shower gel. I got a free big water bottle daily. Breakfast is good but not much variety. The staff is good and are trying to help. Overall, the hotel is very good and very suitable for families, couples and singles.

A disaster. You can't sleep at night because of the music on the street at night because the hotel is in a bar area. The food is barely here to serve you, they don't replace it and on top of that you eat cold food. They made me cheap to have a coffee when it had breakfast included. They don't put soap in the bathroom. Very bad hotel, very bad service. The terrible food is cheap for you. It is not recommended

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the course of my visits to Lebanon. The last time was four years ago and it was amazing. The location is excellent and within walking distance to Hamra. However, this trip the room was not clean. The floors were dirty and I could not take my shoes off, the bathroom shower was filled with mildew, the counters in the bedroom had not been wiped clean. I was very disappointed with my stay this time.

A wonderful, beautiful, clean hotel, close to all entertainment areas and shopping malls. The hotel also has nice and helpful staff, especially the receptionist Karen, who was very helpful with us and all the staff. The rooms were clean and tidy, cleaning services were done every day, and the isolation between the rooms and the street was very good. Breakfast was very good.

Very clean place with affordable prices with a great location. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good enough, but I believe they can make it better. And definitely I'm booking it again in future.

Nice hotel to stay
Pros:
Location: Considered in an active area.
Staff: polite and helpful
Rooms: clean and tidy
Cons:
Noises: a lot of pubs around the hotel and they make a lot of noise, so as an advice stay in the higher floors.
The breakfast: no much variety.
