I was in zee hostel on dec 2019 and it couldnt be better. The owners are super friendly and will help you with anything you need. The neighborhood is safe and central, with everything nearby. The hostel is brandnew, really clean and modern, with a great vibe. I traveled all over the country and didnt find anything like this. Best value for money. Totally recomend and if someday i return to tehran i'll definately stay here again.

We had a great time there. The owner couple is so friendly and helpful as a family. The house and the rooms are totally warm and cozy. It is newly renovated and very clean. Breakfast is homemade and changes daily. So much love! We want to come back!

We stayed there for a week instead of the planned 2 days-that says it all. Mahban & Sarmad have been friends and family for us all the time. We enjoyed their amazing breakfast, fast wifi, chats with the other guests and christmas-party. All best, we will come back!

This place gives you a sense of belonging to a culture and place like no other. The private spaces are cozy and clean, and the shared spaces are great for interaction w/ other travellers and the owners who are super nice, kind, and friendly and would help you as much as possible. I’d highly recommend this place in case you’re travelling to Tehran. Simply, just don’t miss ZEE Hostel.

Zee hostel I would recommend for sure for solo travelers, but no just for solo travelers. I will made this small review more for solo travelers, which is my experience. (3 days in Zee hostel) There are 2 things important for me in hostels, beyond luxury. One is that a lounge or saloon would exists to share and meet other travelers. And the atmosphere being of a real hostel, not of a hotel disguissed as a hotel. The other is people ruling the hostel, that treat you like a person, not just as a costumer. I do not mean your friends, but more than a customer. You matter for them. Everything is not about money. Both things are totallly acomplished in Zee Hostel. For me, I feel like having found this hostel has been a blessing. The people managing the hotel, have made me feel nearly as at home. Very good atmosphere. Moreover, for me, first time in Iran, they have made Teheran supereasy. They have helped me at everything that I needed. Where to go, where to eat, what to visit, best advices according to my interests, they have helped me (come with me to a shop to by local SIM card, ..), booking bus, etc. Withouth them, things would have been more difficult to arrange and for sure I would have lost interesting things of Theheran and much time what is quite important when you do not have much time. On the other hand, the location of the hostel is quite good, assuming that you will have to walk quite to see things in any place in Teheran, as Teheran is Huge, is neither Madrid or Amsterdam. And Zee Hostel is located in a quite good positiion. I clearly recommend Zee hostel if you consider important stated above, I expect to come back again some day. By the way, if you travel to Iran, you might have heard, skip Teheran, an visit the rest of the country. I would say that you shouldn't miss Teheran. It is true that is ugly, noisy and very polluted. But on the other hand, there are more things than beauty of buildings and photographs for your instagram that you look for when you travel solo. Teheran it is worth to understand the country and the life of Iranians. (and you can enjoy lots of things, the culture, the way of life of Iranian people, despite Teheran not being Venecia, almost the contrary). (by the way I hate the touristification of Venecia).Teheran, although, mostly ugly, (for those europeans who had de luck to live in beautiful pleaces) it is really authentique. And this is much. For those worried about safety, Teheran is supersafe (in my experience 3 days walking solo across the city -not just the most popular areas). What it is quite dangerous is crossing the stEret. If you are and old person (>65) I consider a bit dangerous this issue. Go to other more quite cities of Iran.
