This was my first time staying here even though I am a local Bahraini and I was looking for a solo getaway for the weekend. I was given a free upgrade to a deluxe room which was very nice and well furnished; however, some pieces of the furniture were a little dated and needed some updates. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in and the TV had an amazing variety of channels for all ages. The wifi was surprisingly very reliable and I was able to play games on my laptop without any trouble . The breakfast buffet was ok but I expected a bit more. The room window was a bit dirty and I was not able to get good pictures for the beautiful Al Fateh Mosque, The bathroom was amazing and was very well equipped and the air condition was extremely reliable and convenient. One of the housekeepers gave me an extra large bottle of complimentary water which is always a plus.
Overall, I extremely recommend this hotel and I would come back again.

The Gulf is a very clean and sprawling hotel situated in Adliyah, which is a contemporary neighborhood in Manama. I stayed in an executive residence single bedroom, which is in a different tower than the main hotel. The executive residence tower is building 13. The hotel has an abundance of restaurants and the Iranian restaurant, Takht Jamsheed, is supposed to be one of the nicest restaurants in Manama. The pool area is very nice with a huge outdoor pool, as well as a swim up bar. The area surrounding the pool is also very relaxing an low-lit at night, creating a nice romantic environment if that’s what you’re looking for. There’s an Irish bar right around the corner called Mcgettigans, which is a 5 minute walk. The Gulf also has a beer and liquor store right around the corner, but the prices are significantly higher than if you can buy on base. The Gulf also offers a brunch, and the food was comparable to the very best that I’ve had at other brunches on the island, although the day that we went there weren’t as many people compared to some of the other brunches, but it was well worth the money. There was also some musicians playing in the center lobby during the brunch as well. The gym is also super nice and quite large for a hotel gym. I stayed before and during the covid lockdown, so I had first hand access to the gym, pool, and restaurants for a little while. If you don’t want to eat at the hotel, there are many nice restaurants around the hotel in Adliyah, including a nice ambience throughout Adliyah if you’re walking around, especially on night weekends. Ubers and taxis will congest traffic on the weekends, and it’s slow going to find one and get out of there if you’re out late, but during the covid lockdown it was virtually empty.

Staying in the 2 bedroom executive suite. Accommodation is VERY clean (thank you Gina) The only mildly negative thing I can say about this hotel is that some parts of our room are a tiny bit tired and may need slightly updating. Visited the Spa today for my sisters birthday and were blown away with the treatments and service. Beautiful cake arranged at no charge and therapy staff were knowledgeable, professional and fantastic at what they do (thouraghly recommend the 3 hour package - body scub, massage, facial tailored to your needs) thank you Florencia, for your attention. Many restaurants to choose from all serving excellent food. Typhoon bar a must for a well made cocktail in tropical surroundings. All staff across the hotel courteous and professional. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Pool area stunning, and great sperate kids area. Hope to stay again soon.

All though it was locked down, all the staff in hotel very warm welcomed me and took care as I am at my home.
Folks were Very friendly and happy to help middle of night. I am very much pleased with Cleaning staff, room service specially restaurants folks I had to take name of Mr Aswin and Ms Steffany and many other peoples, they all were friendly and professionals never felt i am alone.
Recommended to stay back when ever I get chance.

Firstly i have to say how impressed we were with the hotels COVID-19 precautions, we felt completely safe at all times during a 14 night stay.
Took an apartment which was very spacious, comfortable and well fitted out.
Location is fantastic for exploring local restaurants and cafes but there are also some great dining options within the hotel so plenty of choice when staying for any length of time.
We ate at the Mexican twice and found the service, food and Margaritas all to be first class, we also had Asian food through room service which was great.
Happy hour at Typhoon is not to missed.
Housekeeping were brilliant and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

No words can express how pleasant the staff are at the Gulf hotel! We stayed there during 3 weeks on a work contract for the F1 Grand Prix - going down for breakfast was always a lovely experience, as we were always greeted with sincere smiles , kindness and fabulous service!! I can’t name all these staff, since I don’t remember their names, but floor waiter Aswin, the hostess lady, the floor manager (who’s spoke great Spanish), and all the other employees were simply lovely to greet and say hi to every day. They truly made our stay special and I hope to be back some day soon.... Highly recommended!!!

Rooms are quite spacious, clean and liveable. Staff and house keeping services were great, all staff extremely friendly - shout out and extra special thanks to Sukrain and Nissam for their great friendly and efficient service and care.
The hotel in general is quite expensive though, even for regular laundry services. The room service menu was not so great, the range and availability of food was minimal and I felt quite ill after almost every meal- something to take note of.

Loved our visit to this beautiful hotel which offers so much that we rarely left the hotel. There is a variety of world cuisine restaurants and reasonably priced too. They have an all round excellent service from all staff. Rooms are a good size and presented beautifully. Heated outdoor pool with bar and waiter service was a pleasure to relax in. The Italian restaurant was a feast of delight, Alana attended to our table and was so informative about each dish on the menu, a very professional and friendly young lady. Nigel who manages the restaurant was really attentive and friendly too a pleasure too, a pleasure to speak with. Hats off to the chef. There is also wonderful little gift shops and reasonably priced. Live music within the restaurants were a lovely surprise. We would highly recommend a visit to the Gulf Hotel. We are looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to all of the staff. This Luxury hotel is located in the trendy part of the city a short 5 mints walk to the famous Block 338 With its Cool Restarants cafes Bars and Clubs. Easy access from the airport ( short 15 mints drive ; about 4 BD) . The hotel has superb Service and excellent Staff on all levels. All are very kind, helpful and going Out of the way to assist you . The rooms and bathroom are very Spacious , very clean and disinfected daily, with very friendly and efficient house-keeping department that responded immediately to all my needs and specially thanks to Shweta Tandon and Tosin. They have a number of excellent food options which I enjoyed and especially the main Al Waha Restarant with its excellent daily breakfast , lunch and dinner buffet and extraordinary Friday brunch highly recommended . I thank to the excellent manager Jithu Barghese and to Michel , I want to thank the Front desk manager Omar , and to Katerin from Ukraine , the Restarant managed Michel and all other fantastic staff members I met. The hotel have the best gym fitness club i saw in any hotel in this city and a beautiful swimming pool with lush greenery and attractive landscaping with Many nice outdoor seating areas for meetings,eating and drinks. This hotel has excellent management which I highly appreciate and respect. I was honoured to meet personally the excellent deputy GM Hameed Ali to thank him personally for my enjoyable stay . The Gulf hotel became my home in Manama . I fully recommend it for business and pleasure .
