You might want to keep your sunglasses on when you enter the lobby. There is a lot going on, from the massive chandelier to the grand piano and countless different types and colors of lighting. The rooms similarly have a lot happening, with different fabrics and colors all over the place. Oddly, the bathroom lighting is dim and the shower was awkward. The staff are very friendly, but when a group of 5 of us arrived at the same time, the front desk was totally overwhelmed. It took about half an hour to get us checked in after entirely too much confusion. The breakfast buffet has a huge range of options and is convenient. We had a light dinner one evening in the lobby lounge, which was also quite good. This was my first stay and a change from the Al Faisaliah Hotel, where I stayed last year and whose rooms are in serious need of a renovation. We also attended an event in the meeting space and the banquet team were excellent. The hotel's location is excellent. Overall, Narcissus is a solid option and great value compared to the very high end hotels in Riyadh. Be prepared to have your senses a little overwhelmed by the decor, but perhaps that adds a little to the experience, too. Give the hotel a try...

Your comments were very valued for us to measure our standards and quality of services to meet our guest's satisfaction. The hotel is stylish and colorful to touch your luxury spirit. Regarding the Front Office comment, I met the manager and asked for more staff and preparations to avoid such situation when we have a group of check in. Fantastic stay. It helps that my standard room booking was upgraded to a Superior Suite - the kind receptionist offered it whilst I was checking in. Wow, absolutely stunning. I did not use many of the facilities during the stay, but the room and hotel entrances were always immaculate and the staff were very friendly. Will certainly use this hotel again for future stays in Riyadh.

So I write this review with a heavy heart I decided I would wait until I returned to this spa for a second time before I started with my long list.

On arrival staff are welcoming and friendly 👍
My saudi friend and I had booked a few treatments 3 different ones each. no more than myself she has been to multiple spa centres and was expecting huge things from this 5 ⭐ establishment but that was short lived. From our booking we were asked in which order we wanted our treatments by the reception staff as we went through and changed into our dressing gowns the staff had told us we had to do it in another order - that was fine but why ask which order then? The facilities were not open then a lot of time was wasted laying around and I felt our day was too long here due to no time structure eventough the staff were plentiful and the spa was quiet so why was there a huge gap between treatments? There was no relaxing music expect during the massage but the smell of garlic fingers didn't help me relax.. my pal had a manicure in which she said it was the worst she had ever had..i thought she was high maintenance until i did look at her nails😔 and no polish..apparently manicures don't come with polish these days??? Thirdly I had a facial, in which the lady would put some treatment on my face and then take out her phone and show me her kids and take about them etc it was nice but really i am trying yo have a relaxing experience. What got me the most was the facial was rushed, the brand was not good considering I have sensitive skin which is clear from the get go and the fact each time that phone came out she didn't wash her hands before she touched my skin....! The staff were good but a lot of work and effort is required in this place if it is to be 5.star.. just the layout lack of a relaxing atmosphere etc.

I also came back here with some other friends the experience was yet again much the same disappointingly, we raised a few issues regarding some of the treatments, didn't feel our complaints were listened too and my friend was awaiting a call from Ahmed downstairs with too never materialised. Girls, if you want a nice relaxing afternoon please avoid this place its overpriced and overrated thats coming from both of my experiences with saudis and once with europeans!

Again the syrian lady with the little english was super, amazing and totally friendly and the lovely lia who did our baths really made our bad experience good do thank you to you girls😍 but please sort out your spa it has the ability to be something amazing but the work is needed...

My husband and I booked two nights in one of the spa rooms on the 8th floor. The room was gorgeous and we were so happy on arrival. I am 8 months pregnant so stayed the first night alone to get a night's rest from our toddler and my husband and son joined me for the second night.

The spa was lovely I had a really nice massage in my room on the first day and a facial the second day. But sadly the longer I was there the more disappointed I became...

The kettle didn't work on arrival and took several attempts to get a replacement. It's not that hard to deliver a replacement kettle so I felt waiting hours to be able to make a tea was a bit long. The air conditioning in our bedroom didn't work so I was boiling hot on the first night, but I only discovered that at night time once I got into bed by which time I didn't want to call room service to come to me as I was in bed/ready for bed and very tired, it was late, and I was without my husband there. All maintenance staff are men and I wasn't comfortable being alone in my room with them at night. Besides, if they couldn't fix the kettle in less than 2 hours I didn't expect they would be fast fixing the air conditioning!

On the second evening after getting my son to sleep, my husband and I went to enjoy the jacuzzi bath and watch a film together. Only to discover there was no hot water to fill the bath (it was way too cold to bathe in) and the sound didn't work on the TV. We didn't want to call maintenance as the day before they had taken so many attempts to fix a simple broken kettle!! And our son was asleep in the room so the disturbance of strangers in our room would have woken him I'm the evening.

If you book one of these rooms, please check the jacuzzis, kettles, TVs and air conditioning work as soon as you arrive!

This was a really special treat weekend for us and not the norm for us to splash out and stay somewhere so fancy. So it was just so disappointing that the room didn't live up to its promise. The rooms clearly aren't services or maintained well for so many things to be broken all at once. I will never be returning.

Dear Mrs. Jane and Mr. David, We would like to thank you for taking some time to share your experience with TripAdvisor members. We deeply apologize for the inconvenient situation occurred. Your comments were very valued for us to measure our standards and quality of services to meet our guest's satisfaction. I shared your comments with our management and investigated this subject, the coffee kettle was not working and it took him some time to fix it. Regarding the hot water in the Jacuzzi, we checked it, it takes around 25 seconds to deliver hot water. After our investigation, I immediately informed one of our team to communicate with Mr. David and to apologize and make a compensation for you. My colleague did and Mr. David could understand the situation and the case was closed. Thank you again for your feed back, and we will be delighted to welcoming you again at your second home "Narcissus Hotel Riyadh". Best regards Hatem Aloul

Freezing cold everywhere (aircon full speed in all premises) dark rooms (i had no view whatsoever). Even mirrors are dimmed (try to shave properly with those). The spa section looks great though (but for men only). Price/quality ratio not good for this hotel. And they charge your card immediately on arrival (trust issues).

Dear Mr. Timo2302, We would like to thank you for taking some time to share your experience with TripAdvisor members. Your comments were very valued for us to measure our standards and quality of services to meet our guest's satisfaction. I and the team were reviewing your comments about AC temperature in the public areas, and we asked the Engineering to check all areas to be up to the standard level. for the darkness of the room, we keep the lighting in low mode and if the guest would like to increase it, he can do. As for the Spa, we have 2 separate sections; one for men and one for ladies. As for charging the credit card upon arrival, it happens in all hotels to cover the room prices and certain amount for extras. Thank you again for your comments and feed back, and we will be delighted to welcoming you at your second home "Narcissus Hotel Riyadh". Best regards Hatem Aloul DOSM

Good location with bad and slow service.
You would expect to get a 5-star service (what the hotel charges for) but the service in not near that. I also recommend not to use the valet parking as we found some items in the car were missing.
Moreover, the hotel called our room multiple times a few mins before the actual checkout time to get us out asap

Narcissus overcharged on the bill and further doubled charged that amount. Management has been unresponsive and not sure where to go to get the bill corrected. NOT recommended if you are looking for a hassle free hotel stay. Customer service matters and the time wasted trying to chase this down is pathetic for the caliber of hotel they are striving to achieve.

I am travel agent , we made a booking through the OTA channel and when guest arrived they charged the client instead of checking with the supplier. We tried to reach the hotel through out the day but call was just ringing and no body was there to take the call at the end of the day one person from the operator answered and while talking he disconnected the call .. Pathetic service

Aside from this hotel being so gaudy it makes a typical Las Vegas strip hotel look austere, I can not recommend this hotel. Service is legitimately one star, not five, and I had numerous challenges during my stay. Avoid this place.
