Had iftar at Sheraton hotel this evening. The food display was mouthwatering and the taste good. The service from the waiter that serviced us the dinning room was good. Everything was great in the dinning area until we were on our way out, I notice noticed a heavy smoke smell and when I turned to look one of the “ managers” was busy counting money and smoking a cigarette, how is this possible ? I am very sure this hotel is non smoking and to smoke in a non ventilated area ? it was appalling and a bit disgusting as my clothes from just walking pass him reeked of smoke. This same gentleman was in the dinning area with another “ manager”not sure if they were management thought because they were wearing suits so I just assumed, but definitely hotel staff. I found this to be very very unprofessional for such an establishment. When leaving the hotel we noticed they had a coffee lounge area and decided to give it a go. The service here from the waiter Lal was excellent, he was friendly and efficient. This experience was more relaxed and comfortable. My guest had morrocon tea and did not find the taste pleasant, this is not a fault from the hotel I know they prefer another brand of tea but this brand was not to their liking. The manager Hameed came over he was friendly and dealt with the issue promptly and without any hesitation. He kindly replaced the tea, this gentleman is a good example of what a manager should be like, he turned the whole experience around with his professionalism and efficiency. So the food and service great, only flaw was the gentleman smoking in the hotel and dining in the restaurant while there were still guest there. But Hameed and Lal turned our evening around and we left feeling good, so recognition should be given to these two gentleman for turning a bad experience into good.

Dear NoraNQY11, Thank you very much for posting a review on our TripAdvisor page. I read your review with mixed feelings as I am glad that you enjoyed your iftar from a food and service point of view but saddened by the smoking incident. We do certainly not condone that one of our management team smoked whilst on duty in the Iftar area. He has been spoken to and I can assure you that he will not repeat this in the future. The hotel is smoke free in all public areas and for those who still smoke we have two smoking lounges with the adequate ventilation in place. Thank you for pointing out the high levels of service provided by the lobby Lounge team led by Hameed. My team and I look forward to being of service to you in the future. Best regards Francois Waller General Manager

I chose the Sheraton as it seemed quite central and I wasn't disappointed. The room I had on the 3rd floor was spacious. There was also a lounge on the 3rd floor where you could have adhoc meetings. Canapes were served on the 6th floor in the late afternoon. The main restaurant and the Italian restaurant were brilliant. I will stay there again

One of the oldest hotels in Riyadh, but still in very good shape (or recently renovated). Rooms are spacious with decent amenities, the restaurants are all quite good albeit on the expensive side. The executive lounge is a bit of a letdown as it's in an open area on the 6th floor... But it offers decent food around the day...

Jeffery Basbas and Christian (Ian) Matacsil are two very hard working individuals. The customer service attitude they display is excellent and they're always very responsive to the customer's needs. These two set the standard for exceptionally high professionalism and attention to detail. My breakfast dining experience was always 1st rate. I can't speak highly enough about these two staff members. Keep up the awesome job! Well done.
