Very comfortable hotel, friendly staff. Lovely food especially the evening meal. Very homely vibe. Bedroom was spotless, very comfortable bed, excellent shower. I would recommend this hotel for anyone travelling in this interesting area.
stayed here for a day and had a great time. The hotel is located in a quiet area, even though its a nice 5-8 minute's relaxed walk from the St George's church. The rooms are simple, but big, clean and tidy. Bathroom was clean and spotless. The check in was simple and quick. The two ladies in the reception were really helpful and smiling all the time. Breakfast was included in the rate but the choice was simple and limited. But for the price you pay, its a very very good option in Madaba.
We had arrived later than expected but there was no problem with check in. Staff is really kind and nice. The receptionist gave us a map with how to get to turist attractions nearby. Close to all the attractions. The room was clean. Breakfast is buffet style and you can choose weather to eat the breakfast inside or outside on a terrace. Lovely ambient.
Really lovely stay despite having to leave for the airport at midnight. Comfortable room, great price, new hotel in a good location to see everything Madaba has to offer. The staff were very friendly and were really helpful to accommodate us.
Very nice hotel. After a night in the desert and a bad experience in another hotel, the black iris was a true gem. Comfortable, clean, personnel is very nice. They suggested us the beach on the dead see for the next day and it was awesome. Good quality/price ratio. Absolutely recommended, good breakfast, good room and bathroom.
Yanal and Diana’s hotel is a fantastic place in Madaba. They are very kind, smiley and helpful owners. The hotel staff is the same, everyone speaks English very well. The rooms are modern and clean, the dinner is delicious. Quiet location but close to downtown. I highly recommend it!
We were here for our first night and we loved it so much that we came back for our last night. The staff is so nice with their clients, the breakfast is very good for the price of the night, there is a parking also for cars. For the bedroom, it is very good, as the picture, and it is clean. I highly recommend this place to stay in Madaba.
The Twal family have come up with a great formula for their hotel: if it’s essential, do it well; if it’s not essential, don’t bother to provide it. Thus, this is not a hotel which offers ten different cereals for breakfast - they’re not essential: a reasonable guest can make do with two or three. This is not a hotel that puts a tube of body lotion or a sponge impregnated with shoe polish in your room – they’re not essential. On the other hand, the hotel has just moved into a new building and the public areas and the rooms are new, modern and attractive. The hotel’s formula of concentrating on the essentials is reflected in the accommodation price. The owner, Yanal, his wife, Diana, and the staff were helpful and charming. Yanal went to an English-speaking school in Jordan and we sat down for an interesting half-hour chat with him. The hotel is in the centre but not on a busy street and is about a kilometre from the St George’s church with its famous mosaic map and from the archaeological parks.…
Extremely friendly and helpful staff! The owner was really nice and gave us super helpful informations. The hotel is new and you have everything you need here! We stayed here 2 nights and came back for 2 more! You will not regret staying here that’s for sure! ❤️
When you go back to Madaba for the 3rd time, you go there, initially, to visit friends. Of course, that's why I also went back to Hotel Black Iris of Diana and Yanal. The hospitality of the entire staff is also a very important reason for me. They are all friendly and helpful. Add the delicious dinners to that and you have a perfect overall picture.
