Although, sadly, we only were able to stay one night in the Black Iris, we felt that Odeh became a real friend. He is fun, funny, full of information and can help with anything! Have you ever tried wrapping a slightly delicate camel saddle, for check-in, with no resources? Ask Odeh, he's brilliant! The hotel is very conveniently situated within... More

One of the best hotels we stayed in in Jordan. The owner is super friendly and a great source of information about everything to see and do in town and surroundings. The rooms are clean and cosy (we stayed at the back with a view over the garden, very quiet and comfortable). Wi-fi in the room. Breakfast was good too!... More

My wife and I (both in our mid 30s) spent three nights in this hotel. The quality to price ratio was fantastic. We enjoyed the peace of the room (in the afternoon and in the night) and very sincere conversations with the owner even during the time when the hotel was almost full. The owner, Ohde, is a professional cook... More

I went twice in Jordan and I always stayed in this hotel for couple of days. Why ? ..all those reasons : It is the best hotel in Madaba for backpackers and families !!! With a great location ...close by Madaba downtown ( 3mn by walk) and easy to park your car around the hotel. Even if it is located... More

I stayed here with my mum & sister (we're in our 30s) and it was the perfect choice. The hotel is a large family home that has been extended into a B&B and whilst not new or luxurious it has a great friendly atmosphere and is clean and comfortable. The owner is a lovely man who will take care of... More

We stayed for one night, as an alternative to hotels in Amman or at the airport, to catch an early morning flight home. The owner is friendly, helpful, and offered to make us breakfast before our 5am departure. The room was clean, simple, with a very good, quiet, air-conditioning unit, clean bathroom and pile of spare blankets! The hotel was... More

Here is your home away from home. A super friendly family run institution. You feel the genuine warmth as soon as you walk in. This place is quaint and kitschy, but great too. Free parking on the street. It's an easy 10 minute walk to the heart of the tiny town of Madaba. Good local eats surround you, with a... More
