Things I liked ==================== My room (#28) was on the corner and its windows let in a lot of light. There was a view of the city. I had 2 comfortable beds, and a table and chair. It was reasonably spacious, and I was able to fit my bike and trailer. Two bikes would have been tight but OK. I... More

Every time I come to Jordan, I stay at The Salome Hotel in Madaba. And every time it is still one of the best deals in the country. The room, the WiFi, the G & T cocktails, the cleanliness, the warm welcome and the above and beyond effort to help out the guest. This time I had a broken tooth,... More

This hotel is situated in a calm street with some other hotels in otherwise lively Madaba, about 10 min walk from the mosaics and archeological sites. The management and staff are very nice. Breakfast is basic but ok. There are local restaurants on the street with good shawarma. We arrived late from the south and stayed just one night. We... More

A 5 minutes walk from the centre of Madaba, hotel Salome is excellently situated. Free car parking. The room is clean and big with a balcony. Good breakfast, but the best is the friendliness of the owner. A hospitality tea with biscuits in the afternoon, information about the city and printed maps when needed. Real Jordan hospitality! Madaba is a... More

Good location close to the Madaba Mosaic, confortable large beds, friendly staff and helpful owner, fine breakfast included (a choice of cereals, ham/salami, cheese, egg, vegetables, fruits, traditional bread, tea, coffee ecc.). Free parking. Free Wi-Fi. Easy to reach from Amman Airport (within 15-20 minutes) with GPS. The rooms are all clean/modern with AC, plasma TV, large bathrooms. Probably the... More

Hotels in Jordan are a real mixed bag once you dip below the international chains. Mostly independent, they can be depressingly bland and badly maintained. Happily with a few small imperfections this hotel is not one of them. We had a spacious clean three bed room with quiet and efficient AC and comfy beds. The staff were courteous, knowledgeable and... I stayed here for 2 partial nights on my first and last days in Jordan. It worked out great for me! The rooms are super clean, comfortable and convenient to the airport. They are a good price, it was quiet, and the wifi great too. I used the tour services of Tawfeeq Salahat, who works as a driver at Salome.... More

I arrived in Amman at 0030 in the morning from Rome and drove out to Madaba and stayed at the Salome. It wasn't a problem for the front desk clerk to be warm and friendly at 2am (as I expect from Jordanians always). He showed me to my room, told me about the breakfast times and informed me to checkout... More

Having looked at several hotels in the area, the Salome was by far the best for value. The staff are really nice, great rooms with breakfast. I'd highly recommend. Close to all the tourist places you want to see.
