DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hotel. The front desk person barely looked up or spoke to us when we checked in. There was NO hot water. We called to reception and they said they would turn the hot water on, just wait 10 minutes for it to warm up. We waited over an hour - still no hot water!!!!!!!!! When we told them as we were checking out - they did not say anything - not even a polite, “We are sorry.” The breakfast was a disappointment - We were served an egg (not an omelette as were were told), 5 minutes later we were served a plate of cold cuts and processed cheese. 5 minutes later we were served a basket of cold white bread. (Nothing appealing about it!!!!!!) The room was dark, old, and the bathroom wasn’t very clean...

Welcome by the manageress - greeted me as Mr!!! Definitely female!! The welcome was brisk and we were soon on our way to the room. Disappointed that the hotel was down a dark street with building works right across the road - we did not feel it safe to go out for a meal so chose to eat in the restaurant. Went down to dinner to find no one else there and the buffet food was brought out as we sat down!! Food was fine - lot of salads, with a large dish of rice with chunks of chicken in it. Dessert was jelly and fruit. Breakfast was not wonderful - breads were hard, tea was weak and juice was not very strong. We were led to believe this was a member of the Best Western - can understand why it's not any longer!

About 15 minutes walking distance to trhe center, a restaurant and a liquor stor opposite, some 5 parking lots before the hotel. Big rooms, neat and clean, friendly staff. Problems with toilets not flushing, problems with the wifi – which they quickly and successfully tried to solve

Certainly cannot be considered a "luxury hotel". It is a very basic hotel, with basic rooms, services and below average breakfast. Having the parking lot next to the hotel is useful. Staff at reception speaks good english. The furniture is very old, and the pool was too dirty to swim. Hotel location is ok, but I would recommend targeting the city center instead of this area. At full price, do not stay there. I would recommend staying in Amman or move right away towards the Dead Sea or Petra if you can.
