Detailed Reviews
I wasn’t supposed to stay at this hotel, because I had another booking at a different place, but due to circumstances I couldn’t stay there so I had to look for something last minute. I’m glad I stayed at this hotel, because the staff were so friendly and kind to me and we even had good conversations. The location is also very comfortable since it’s located in the Downtown Amman.

Best thing is they have female dorms available. It’s very safe for solo female travellers. The staff is very supportive. You can use the kitchen. They do not have hot water in shared bathrooms but they give you key of a private room which has geysers.
Bathrooms are old like the building so not very good fittings.
There is no washing machine but they do laundry for you on per piece basis.
It’s the cheapest options in Amman and cheapest private rooms/ dorm female and male in Amman. 5 JD per form.
In this price you can’t expect five star facilities but it’s second home for back packers.
Lobby is very lively but closes at 11 pm.
And above all best location. There are many banks, restaurant, money exchanges and all sort of shopping from scarfs. perfumes, clothing and herbs. Roman theatre, market, citadel, Nympheum on walking distance.

We stayed for 2 nights in a private room with a shared bathroom. We only had one full day in Amman, so we organised a tour to the Dead Sea and a few other places with the hotel - was great! They also provided airport pick-up and drop-off for 20JOD.
Breakfast was provided - self serve and plenty of food. Rooms were quiet and had a very big double bed - comfy! Wifi was available for 2JOD per day.
The only downside about the hotel was that there was only hot water between 7am and 11am, which was difficult because we went to the Dead Sea during the day and needed to wash off all the salt before we left early the next morning to fly out! The staff were very helpful though and gave us the key to a private room to use the shower there.

We had bad experience of this hotel. Room was totally cold. After 3 hours warming with ac room temperature was 16.5 ! Room was very old fashioned, dusty and dirty. We needed use towels on the toilet floor because of dirtiness. Staff offered change a room, but all rooms was unclean. We got warm Water after 2 hours waiting. We got extra blankets because room temperature was only 16.5 when we went to sleep. Breakfast was basic. Only positive thing was receptionist who really wanted help us.

The hotel is cheap and basic, it’s passable if you are visiting for a short stay or on a low budget. The whole place is dated and old. The room also wasn’t that clean, it didn’t look like the rug had been hoovered from the last people. The shower curtain was too short so the bathroom floor flooded every time you use it. The air con wasn’t working properly, it kept dripping water and ice on my head all night and then made a horrendous noise as the fan outside was hitting against something. Comfort and sleep quality were terrible.
They did an airport pickup good and the staff are helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was laughable, just a few bits of cucumber and tomato on a plate with two hard boiled eggs, much better to get your own, lots of places nearby offer better for cheaper. The only good thing is the location which is excellent, very close to shops and the citadel, forum and Jordan museum.
They also offered tours but the prices are per car and at the time we visited they struggled to get a full car. They aren’t really tours, just a taxi to take you to all the places listed so you get no info, no food. The tour to Petra (there are two options) we ended up getting the one we didn’t ask for and the driver still expected a tip at the end.
We made the mistake of staying here because we knew it did tours (listed on the website). The reality is almost all Amman hotels will run tours or put you in touch with someone who does, if even they aren’t advertised.
I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We were due to return after visiting Petra for a second stay but cancelled and stayed somewhere else nearby that was much cheaper, much nicer, and did much cheaper ‘tours’.

Great hostel in the center of Amman. The rooms are sufficient for an overnight stay. On the ground floor there is a great facility with a kitchen and a comfortable sitting area where you can spend time. The hotel staff is warm, helpful and advise you on everything you need to know. Thanks to them, I had a more beautiful Ammmán (especially thanks to Rakan)!! I met many other great travelers. I would love to come back again

We moved to the Farah Hotel from the Palace Hotel because the Palace did not meet our expectations after reading the review in Lonely Planet. The Farah Hotel exceeded our expections in terms of a friendly environment and helpful staff.
The only negative comment I have is about the smoking in the common area. The staff need to post a NO SMOKING SIGN and then politely point it out to guests who light up.

Farah hotel definetly expresses the hospitality of Jordanian population .
The people that work in farah hotel are very nice and helpful in giving tips on the city and more.
The hotel is clean , serves good breakfast and it is well located. Of course it is not luxury but it gives you all you need for a good price. Highly suggested!!
