In term of size, hotel building is quite big. Rooms are spacious with all the expected amenities provided. But decor is old and house keeping have much to improve on because much dust are collecting in the corners and behind doors. The lifts are small and would be helpful if the speed of the lifts are faster. Hotel is situated... More

Visited this hotel with a tour group for 2 nights in April 2016. The room was comfortable and clean. Basic amenities like shower gel, shampoo, shower cap and a hair dryer. No electric kettle in the room. Dining area looked more like a cafeteria, with long tables. Hardly any space between each table to move about. Buffet meals for lunch... More

free wi-fi, but many sites are blocked. Nothing in walking distance, but you could get a cab outside easy enough. The reception staff was a little rude at times, especially has our room card kept having to be reset as would not work? hey like thats our fault. for us as we was on a scheduled 6 day trip, we... The hotel has passed its glory days but it still has its charm, the rooms were large and comfy and the gym and pool were very good, the food at breakfast was good and room service was affordable and servings were large. the hotel has some plumbing problems which has caused some ceiling damage in the restuarant which looks tacky.

I like to start with the good: the customer service here is great. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The rooms are clean and spacious. Wifi is free, but many sites are blocked (anything classified as "entertainment", which does not include social media). Reasonably priced. That being said: the location is not conducive to anything you want to do... More

A quite comfortable hotel. Some of the rooms maybe need a bit of refurbishment, but overall we liked this hotel. The location is in the modern part of the city, so not close to the Citadel if you are planning to head there.

Al Fanar, probably was once a good property.Presently my guess,it us undergoing slow and selective refurbishing of rooms . Definitely toilets in some rooms need improvement. Dinning room service also needs improvement. However food served in good.

Terrible hotel. Breakfast was not even edible! Lifts very slow. No wifi in rooms but was Ok in reception. Nothing at all near by, no restaurants. Very tired decor. Air conditioning didn't work. Shower was fine. Was there as part of a cycling trip but would not recommend going

Stayed first 2 nights of a trip to Jordan and it was the poorest quality of the hotels I visited in Jordan. The place is nice on entering but the rooms are tired and jaded. They also stink of stale tobacco. Breakfast was pretty poor offering of overcooked eggs and stale breads with yoghurt dips. It is also badly located for exploring... More
