Detailed Reviews
I stayed here for three nights as part of an organised tour. Because of this tour we got bussed around, but if I were alone I would probably have picked somewhere more central. It's definitely a taxi ride from Amman's attractions, but in a very convenient location for the airport.
The appearance of the hotel itself was fine, parts of it looked a little like an apartment block. My room was clean and a decent size, with both European and British plug sockets. The bathroom was ok, but the shower was designed in such a way that it got much of the bathroom floor wet while being used. The wifi was good, but unfortunately they had it configured such that it blocked VPNs.
I had breakfast at this hotel and dinner one evening. I felt the breakfast was quite poor, little selection and the quality wasn't fantastic. There was only instant coffee. The one dinner I had was acceptable in standard, though a little overpriced for what it was.

This was the first hotel stop in our tour of Jordan. We spent four nights here. The hotel looks very modern and smart in the main areas however the bedrooms are a little tired and in need of refurbishment.
The restaurant was fair, breakfast consisted of cereals/pastries and hot food including omelettes however there was very little fresh fruit. Buffet dinners were acceptable.
The hotel has very little in terms of entertainment with only the lobby area and small bar to relax in. There is a busy sports bar right opposite the hotel which was much livelier and friendly and we spent most evenings there.
Overall an average hotel

Hotel is well located, not too far in the center to find by car. Rooms are clean, good mattresses. Didn't have time to use the swimming pool, but I thought that was a nice plus for a hotel in the center of Amman. Breakfast buffet was good.
The only downside we found was that there was little soft drink or a snack available in the hotel bar. We arrived late, had not eaten much, and there are not many restaurants in the area where you can eat something small. So finding something in the hotel would have been a plus.

Nice hotel in the business district. The rooms were what you would expect with shower gels and shampoos provided in the bathroom, air condition units, comfy beds and nice linens. The entrance foye looks very glamorous. The stairwells could do with a lick of paint though, but it's a minor point. The restaurant food was lovely- plenty of variety including for vegetarians and some traditional food here and there. All the food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Only the coffee machine breaking down one morning and the lack of fruit at breakfast let it down! The staff were very friendly though and did their best for you. It's a bit of a drive to the citadel and amphitheatre in the old town if you're sightseeing, but it was a nice quiet place to stay. I'd recommend it. It's classed as 4 star and I'd say it's between 3 and 4 star by UK standards. A good hotel and definitely worth staying in. We had a good trip.

+1
Catastrophic: dirty and broken shower, towels that smell musty and large flows of blood under the sink. I almost had a cardiac arrest when I saw the inside of the kettle while trying to make myself a coffee: mold, green and white moss. You'd think it was a bad joke, it's so unheard of. They changed the kettle for me without even being embarrassed.
Likewise, taped sockets. Impossible for it to be a 4 star, even in the depths of India or Somalia a hotel without a star does better.
The evening meal was good but access to the swimming pool was prohibited due to a private party.

Really dirty, starting from the sheets and towels, dilapidated, and dangerous: in the bathrooms (we had 3 rooms) all the hairdryers had exposed wires!! Staff also a little unprepared and unsympathetic. Breakfast paltry and sad and in my opinion with old products too. I skip over dinner. TRULY AVOID!!! From all points of view: I don't know what's positive about it.

We had two nights booked into this '4 star' hotel at the end of our Jordan tour. All the staff we dealt with were very pleasant.
We arrived at 3:50pm and did not get our room keys until 5pm, and arriving at our room there were still 3 staff in it cleaning - well I presume that was what they were supposed to be doing - but we found out that it wasn't very well done.
The sheets were 'bobbled' and 'off white' in colour - not by design. The towels were not meant for adults as they were so small. They were old and curled up at the edges. These were also off white, and several were actually dirty.
There was dust everywhere, watermarks on the ceiling and the bathroom just looked old and dirty, with a toilet cover that did not stay up which made it awkward sitting on the loo. When I moved the bedside cabinet to plug something in there was dust, fluff and someone's old sweet wrappers. Not impressed.
The stairway to go downstairs was filthy, the white doors were black where people had pushed them, fine in a staff are but not where the paying public are using.
From our room at night we could hear doors banging where other guests were in and out. Not a pleasant experience, We cut short our visit and moved hotels.

Amman west was the best Hotel i have stayed at in Amman. The staff treated us very well and the hotel was very clean. Osama was one of the nicest hosts. He helped us to book a driver to wadi rum and Petra and Dead Sea without any notice before and he got us an excellent price. The breakfast here was also very good and we were also allowed to use the pool even though it was off season. All over I had an amazing time in Jordan thanks to the great hospitality at this hotel. Thankyou Amman west.

The hotel was great, clean and accomodating. The staff was great, especially Osama. He helped us so much getting around to all the places we wanted to see for a very good price - and he was warm and welcoming doing so! We got to see Wadi Rum, Petra and the Dead Sea without any issues because of him!
