I have been quarantined in this hotel for almost 14 days , actually I didn’t feel that I was in quarantine I felt like I was in vacation despite all of the ministry of health requirements were implemented in strict manners , upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and the humble front desk manager mr luay al Shuwa as he was waiting for almost all of the guests helping them and solving their problems with smile , spaciousness and in professional way also he was making sure that the check in process done in very smooth and timely manners as all of my crew’s room were ready before even got to the hotel , the room was gorgeous, clean and well sanitized and it has very comfy big bed with stunning view to the pool and the beauty of Amman , because of the quarantine we were in title for (03) meals a day in fact the chief of the restaurant deserves a special thanks as the food was outstanding, delicious and excellent variety so honestly we can’t ask for more , also the room service staff were extremely friendly and felxible as once they brought for me rice with drum chicken which I don’t eat it so I called them they changed it to chicken breast within 05 minutes, the housekeeping staff were very helpful as everyday they were knocking the door to make sure that you don’t need anything from towels,shampoo,tea,coffee,etc.., Also the maintenance staff his name husam was very helpful as I faced problem with my A/C he fixed it in 5 minutes as he was very friendly and professional. At the end I would like to thanks everyone here in intercontinental Amman for making my quarantine wonderful and enjoyable .

I can’t say enough good things about the Intercontinental. The hotel itself is safe, clean, and of the highest quality. I look forward to the complimentary breakfast every day. It is always delicious! The gym is surprisingly well equipped—I’ve never seen a hotel with an actual bench press. The location is wonderful. Being walking distance to rainbow street puts you within reach of incredible restaurants, downtown, and even Amman Citadel. The real star of the show, however, is the staff. Literally everyone is super nice, and I am genuinely happy to see them every day. I wish I knew all of their names, but the security staff always greets me with a smile, the entire breakfast staff goes out of their way to make sure I’m taken care of no matter how busy it gets. The hosts find me a seat and get my usual coffee order going immediately. The omelette station is fast and convenient. The chef even brings out homemade recipes that are amazing. The laundry service is always prompt and happy to see me. Abed in housekeeping seriously goes above and beyond to make sure I have what I need in my room—especially water! Anything I need, he finds it. The best part is they are all very patient in my attempts to speak Arabic. I really appreciate it. It may sound crazy, but it really does feel like a family. They are just warm, genuinely good people. It is not typical hotel hospitality. It’s something special.

I booked 2 rooms at this hotel for a total of 12 nights. I am a spire elite member at IHG so I expect an upgraded room. I stayed at the Intercontinental San Francisco and was upgraded to one of the nicest rooms in the hotel, so I booked this hotel based on that experience. The room I was told was an upgraded room, but it looked over the roof of another building and was nothing special. I spoke to a manager about my disappointment in my room as we checked out. We were going to the Dead Sea for a night and coming back. When I returned I got a similar room. I then called them to tell them again of my disappointment. They offered to upgraded room to me the, but told me that the room was overlooking the terrace, but they were having a party on the terrace till 1 am, I didn’t take it. They did give me a bigger room overlooking the entry of the building but then there were kids running the halls screaming at 11 pm that were from room 500 and I called the front desk. I was told that there is a family there where the parents can’t control the kids. They also lied and told me it was the room next door.m, which it wasn’t because I saw the kids come out of Room 500. We moved to another room the next morning just to get away from those kids. They moved me to another average room, but I was happy for a quiet room. My grand kids came to the hotel and we thought we would use the indoor pool with them and were told no kids allowed. What hotel with an indoor pool doesn’t allow kids in a pool. The Intercontinental Amman! The hotel is the oldest hotel if the large hotels in Amman so it is not modern or new. Breakfast is 25JOD or $35 per person. It is expensive but has a wide array of foods. Service was average. They do have an large fitness center with a lot of equipment. The Cinco de Mayo restaurant is actually very good with a decent price point. As an individual at the highest level IHG reward status you you think I would be offered the nicest rooms, but I have found that not to be the case. Next time I am in Amman I will stay at the Hyatt. I won’t stay at the Intercontinental again.

We stayed at The Intercontinental at the end of our Journey around Jordan and were very pleased with the facilities, services and location. We had a room on the club floor, which was nicely appointed, and we enjoyed drink and snack service each evening. The hotel has a nice range of restaurants, and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. The hotel has excellent COVID protocols and arranged for us to get our required departing COVID PCR test in their business center at a reasonable cost and with a prompt return of written results

INTERCON remains one of my favourite hotels in Amman. I spent the night there in room 711.

Room size was ok, and amenities sufficient. Lovely honeymoon setup and treats! Bed and pillows very comfortable. The wood furniture (Safe closet) was loose and seemed to require some repairs. Shower handles need some renewal too, but good water pressure and temp.

The service was very good especially they they seem understaffed with the COVID crisis.

We had breakfast at Burj Al Hamam, was a combination between set menu and a la carte, but really delicious and versatile. Haitham, our waiter was extremely polite and helpful, he made our breakfast enjoyable.

Great stay overall,

We have just enjoyed a super stay at this hotel. The staff have been very friendly and welcoming from when we first got out of the car. The level of service in the hotel has been high.
The breakfast is a great spread. Again the staff on the stations are cheerful. The other staff are very attentive with things being whizzed over not long after request and empty plates whizzed away as soon as done. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet.
We also enjoyed the wedding festivities in the hotel whilst we were there which provided a fun atmosphere. (though maybe be aware if you are planning a romantic dinner at the weekend!)

We took uber from the hotel to all the main areas we wanted to see and the journeys were all a few JOD

We stayed two nights and enjoyed our stay very much at the end of our amazing trip in Jordan . There are 4 different restaurants, we tried the Japanese and Mexican , both had a lot of choice , fresh food , healthy and light also . There is a nice choice of wines as well , which we appreciated at the end of our stay . The beds are so comfy , and the slightest technical problems ( TV not working) were taken care of .
The breakfast buffet is amazing and has Jordanian as well as continental offers , I was offered to take away one morning I rushed in to have a juice . Outside and inner swimming pools which we didn’t use .
The staff all over is extremely welcoming and attentive .
The prices vary from what I see , 250 USD approx is a bit too much compared to other hotels I’d say , if the prices are lower then it’s almost a 10/10 !
