The Crowne Plaza Amman, an IHG hotel, garners praise for its modern decor and comfort, yet it draws mixed reactions regarding the atmosphere; the tranquility of stays can be compromised by noisy events. While the cleanliness of the hotel earns high marks, with guests appreciating immaculate rooms and a well-maintained pool area, opinions on value and rooms are divided.
Some travelers find room sizes and dining options lacking, and have had challenges with noise and temperature control in rooms. Nevertheless, the hotel's amenities and service generally receive positive reviews, though service can occasionally seem slow or disorganized.

The hotel is located in the new part of the city. It is the classic business man hotel, very large and with various services such as a swimming pool, fitness area etc. Outside there is a large secure car park. We were welcomed in a professional although rather cold manner. The rooms are spacious and clean and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom is also equipped with a bidet while the courtesy set was minimal: just the shower cap and some bottles of soap fixed to the wall. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style. There is a decent variety but the quality can definitely be improved and the service is confusing.

Stayed as part of our sightseeing trip to Jordon. Rooms were of a good standard and housekeeping was great. Hotel has a pool with sun loungers which is great after a long day sightseeing.
Breakfast is very good with different choices each day. We also ate in the restaurant which has live music and Cafe Vienna which offers great local food.
They have a top floor bar the Black Iris which offers a 2for1 Happy hour deal 4-7pm each day which is welcome given the prices charged for alcoholic drinks in Jordon.

On the positive side It is well located and reasonably priced. The rooms are well equipped, neat, and comfortable. Housekeeping was quick and completed service early in the day which was very convenient. There were a lot of tours at the time I was there, and the staff were bit overwhelmed especially at breakfast at around 8 am. On the negative side the heating colling system was centralized in all rooms and I could not control the temperature. I had to open the window to cool the room down for bit. The lobby is bit dated. The food was good although the serving staff are bit limited in number which caused some delays at times.

5,20 am Have been at hotel several days Two days ago I warned the receptionist that a group of impolite guests were making noise all over the night. Called over 40 minutes ago the reception because I can not sleep for same problem ( music high volume and people partying in a close room) What kind of hotel is this?
Apart for the “pretended” 5 stars and the noisy wedding events, every night?
An absolute shame, that this brand does not deserve. People seek first of all rest and good sleep in a hotel, even more a top class one. Ridiculous, just ridiculous the attitude of the front desk at check out. Like : “we checked everything at every floor and we found no noise”…

The Crown Plaza in Amman is centrally located for seeing all the sights Amman has to offer. The rooms are a generous size with comfortable beds and updated bathrooms. We enjoyed a fabulous steak dinner our first night at the V Bar and Restaurant on the ground floor. There are good deals on wine during happy hour from 4-7 nightly (if you like white wine try the Jordan River Winery Chardonnay. We were disappointed to find the Rooftop bar was closed during Ramadan, as well as the spa (couldn’t book a massage until after 7pm). During our stay, temperatures were 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit (24-27 Celsius) and so were our rooms! Given the heat was still on “for winter”, we were unable to use air conditioning during our four night stay. Running the fan or opening the window actually increased the room temperature. Coupled with a heavy comforter as the only bedding option, this made for sleepless/restless nights while in Amman.

Crown Plaza party hotel. We left our 1st hotel and upgraded for 3 additional nights expected a superior stay. 1st day told 3 restaurants to choose from. Went for diner and told top floor Black Iris not available and steak house private party or extra charge, buffet closed only smoking cafe available. Ok if you want to eat in a restaurant that smells like an ash tray. We were given room on back side of hotel over looking pool. Quiet business floor. Too bad for the extremely loud base from the party. This is an event hotel and if you’re not part of the event then you’ll have to listen to the thumping base through out the hotel until the party ends. Cost to upgrade not worth it - could not sleep. ☹️

The stay was not good and it's been not good for almost two stay I do not know. The check in process was also very unpleasant and the one who was on the reception was treating me in a weird way and I felt I am not welcomed here, and FYI I spoke to them before my stay date and I asked for HM set up inside the room, the guest relations agent Mentioned she will, during the check in I reminded the woman on the reception she said ok, I went to my room the key didn't work either ... We had to wait till the have replaced our key bocklets I got back to the reception again to remind her of the set up she said ok I went swimming and I got back within 4 or 5 hours the HM set was not ready thanks that the duty manager was able to fix the issue, the last stay also I asked the room to be cleaned 3 times and nobody came until my partner went to the reception and expressed his bad negative that nobody is listening, on this stay during the check out the reception called my partner and asked him to leave the room he mentioned that he want to stay for a little bit longer but they refused ( as per IHG standard I can have late checkout till 2 subject to availability) and they didn't even offer him that, he went to the reception the same woman who checked Me in told him we give you a late checkout after he packed up his bag he mentioned he didnt want that anymore ( I think we will not come back but the other guests should be aware from these details because I was a repeated guest and they lost me due to the slow service and bad attitude from employees ( the food is great room service and pool attendants were amazing but the issue was with front desk, I should they should reconsider that all we need to feel welcomed on checked in and the slow service they are providing. Thanks

We are staying here at the moment and are due to return after a tour. I have requested we be transferred to another hotel. A previous post stated it was one of the oldest hotels in Amman; it shows as it is stuck in the 1980's - presumably when it was awarded 5* but this is a 4* hotel. On the positive side rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. However, they would benefit from a deep clean. The quality of food at the immunerable buffets is largely fine but samey. The only meat on offer tonight, chicken was dry. The staff are generally disinterested and uncommunicative, particularly in the dining room. At breakfast I had to chase someone for coffee, wander the empty tables looking for an unclogged salt cellar and some jam and marmalade pots, at dinner I had to chase someone for a glass of water, small things but if one is paying 5* prices one expects 5*. The gym has a good range of equipment but the steam rooms and jacuzzi are underground and gloomy. The public lobby is pleasant enough but like everywhere else needs a refresh. If a tour promotes this as a luxury option don't waste your money.

3rd time staying at this Crown Plaza, last being 5 years ago- and despite a lot happening in those years this hotel is still very comfy. Great happy staff including security that Xray your bags everytime you re-enter the property- most hotels in Amman scan bags so no worries.
Rooms are still good but could use a slight update with the lighting & colors.
Oh yes and excellent room service late night meal, Thank you

Normally the outdoor pool is closed in the month of October. However, the inside pool is open all year around. When you check-out from the hotel, you can secure your luggage and belongings in the hotel and still use the hotel services such as the Gym, where there are showers and toilets.
For extra charges or expenses in hotel ? You can pay cash or crdiet card.
Also when you check in they ask for credit card or cash as deposit or under account & upon check out you can settle all expenses
Hey Honeymaddok, The hotel is maximum of 45 minutes away of airport that goes for most of Amman's hitels, and they can arrange you transportation if you contact them in prior with a reasonable price, that will take you directly to the hotel.
I wish you a safe trip.
There are more places to choose from in the Amman area.
