Good sized room, comfy bed, lots of blankets, which was good a room was freezing. Average breakfast, not much of a common area. Good location - very central. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Could do with some sprucing up. Was fine as somewhere just to sleep after being out all day. Great value for money.

Nejsme zadne fajnovky, ale opravdu bych to prirovnala k noclehu v “bourárně” . My vedely do ceho jdeme, tudiz jsme zklamane nebyly.

In all fairness, the hostel only deserves 3 stars based just on facilities. However, the host was friendly, accommodating and helpful without being over the top. He even agreed to share some personal stories from his youth with us which we have greatly appreciated as we wanted to talk to locals. Location: quite central and within walking distance to a few tourist attractions. It wasn't close to the bus station though from where we had to take a bus to Aqaba. If you need a taxi ALWAYS have small change with you and give the exact amount as we had a situation where the driver started bargaining all over again and would not give us the change. Heating; we had to pay extra to have heating in our room but it was a modest, additional amount. I think it was £4 for the whole night. Some other lady complained that she had a 'rough' night with no heating at all. Shower: You have to tell the host when you are about to take a shower otherwise you will not have hot water. The toilets and showers are shared. Rooms: old furniture, nothing was modern, seemed clean enough though. Breakfast: good variety actually. Fruit, vegetables, cakes, boiled eggs, all sorts. Free wifi. Unmarried couples: we had emailed the hostel to doublecheck, but it was fine for us to share a bedroom as an unmarried couple. If I'm not wrong, I think they checked our nationality first so you might want to check yourselves based on your circumstances. I would not recommend this place to people who only stay in modern, luxury hotels. If you are fine with experiencing new things and are looking for what people call 'authentic experience' you will be fine. When I first saw the place I had very low expectations and thought I would hate it but actually, it turned out great.

Accommodation itself it's very clean. the entrance It's sideway, located on the second floor without an elevator. Not suitable for imobile. Very good location very close to the center downtown. On the street Infront of the entrance there is small bakery. You can get towels on demand. Water is warm but u need to ask for it since is not available all the time. There are no heaters in the rooms. We spend there 6 nights in 3 different rooms. We've been there durring the winter time and it was very cold. So two layers od clothes where needed durring the nights. There is no windows sealings nor door sealings. There is nice living room with wifi, for a breakfast or dinner or for a talk to the stranger tourists with gas heater :) You can order car tours which are quite expensive compare to rental car. You can rent the car from the hostel Via George (owner son), like we did or také tour with him. Car rental for us was 25JD per day for Elantra plus deposit 200JD we get back on return. If you cause the accident you päť 400JD extra. Contract is in Arabic and only few words are translated to english. When we've agreed on time with car tenant he was always late at least 30 minutes this cause us some troubles whith preplanned other activities. I don't know about others but please be awarre. Also be carefull for speeding: they have radars and basic fee I've heard was 20JD. There is local restaurant called Hasheem with very good prices open 24/7.
