I stayed at the Retaj Hotel for two nights at the beginning of a group tour, and one night at the end of the tour. For a three star hotel, it’s quite nice. During my first stay, I asked to change rooms as my safe didn’t work and the window would not lock properly. The staff quickly changed my room without complaint, and I was happy with the second room. The bed was extremely comfortable, but the air conditioning unit was a bit noisy. I heard complaints from tour members that rooms facing the street are noisy, so make sure to request a room facing the back.
On my second stay, my room was perfect. It looked remodeled and the air conditioning unit was quiet with a more spacious bathroom. The bed, again, was extremely comfortable.
Breakfast is average, but the restaurant has a lovely view over Amman. The staff were also incredible friendly. For a budget stay, it’s a great hotel.

We went to this hotel since the tour we traveled on was the one that included it.
It is a small hotel, but very pleasant from the entrance, good and beautiful decoration.
The rooms are small, well decorated, with very comfortable beds and mattresses and have all the amenities.
It is located away from the center but in a beautiful location.
There is a lot of commerce and restaurants around it.
Close to large hotels with exclusive brands.

really bad food and service. we want to order from outside the hotel but they told us that they had good food and they Will make it like the HArders Burger place and they insist that we should buy food from the hotel restaurant and they told us that we Will get a 15% discount in addition we ordered the burger menu but we Got French bread with a quarter of frozen meat which is very old and old old pomes fritters. I absolutely loved the Retaj. The location was ideal, as we were only 10-15 minutes from anywhere we needed to be. The restaurant was exquisite with excellent selections and a phenomenal view of the city. But it's the management team and their staff that went above and beyond. Every member of the team made us feel welcome and were very helpful. A special thanks to Mr. Faris Shaqir for being exceptional. The service made this hotel an unforgettable experience, and I would highly recommend it.

This is a small budget hotel surrounded by several better hotel options. Even on a budget, this hotel is expensive and for a few dollars more, I would recommend another hotel in the area.
The rooms are not the best, tv's are crap and washrooms are very dated. Not much more to say...but I cannot recommend this hotel at all.

I spent a week at the Retaj and found it to be a good value. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and it is close to many places and restaurants. I'd stay there again. The staff remember your name and promptly fill any requests.

Taxi's are metered, cost is about $25JD from airport. Make sure they turn on the meter unless you can haggle a price lower, otherwise they will run up a price. Uber is available, but do not recommend as it has not been legalized and if you get pulled over the Uber driver is put at risk of losing his vehicle.
