A boutique hotel in the heart of Tel Aviv, 2 minutes from the boardwalk, clean rooms, a little small but it doesn't hinder the experience, the breakfast is amazing, takes place in the Meshia restaurant, a rich and fresh buffet and you get more dishes to choose from the menu. The massage takes place in one of the hotel rooms, the couple's massage was good by a professional team. We highly recommend the hotel for a short weekend.

We visited the hotel for one night in March 2023.
We were a couple with 2 kids and booked two rooms with a connecting door.
The rooms are very comfortable - not very spacious (we had the standard rooms) but had everything we needed. The bathroom was very nice and useful and it was great to have the two rooms connected so we can communicate with the kids at all times.
The staff was very friendly and assisted us with baggage storage before the rom was ready and after we checked out.
One highlight of our staying was the unique breakfast.
The hotel lobby is also a chef restaurant which was fully booked at evening. The breakfast includes one 'special' dish you can select from the menu plus the rich buffet. great for adults and kids.
Would definitely recommend!

So conveniently located, only 5 minutes walk from the seashore and busy night scene locations, yet very quiet orderly and clean. the room was well equipped with a smart TV and an out of this world B&O BT speaker (a LINK address or a QR code with directions concerning the APP one should download to get it working should have been attached...). a narrow angle of the sea is visible from the 5th floor - but I wonder if its worth the time consuming waits for the elevator.
The bed and bedding are awesome, the A/C was very quiet light control at bed side was smart and very intuitive, reading lights were great.
bathroom was spacious and well equipped with all needed stuff (hair drier too).
The restaurant on the ground floor was always full of people.
We have not tried it
maybe next time
there will definitely be one...

Apart from the location, nothing is right. The price we paid included breakfast. If you are lucky enough to stay on Friday or Saturday, bingo: it will be a very well-stocked buffet in the hotel restaurant. The other days, it will be in a kosher café 5 minutes away on foot, with a very limited menu and a choice really below what one would expect from such an establishment. If you also have the misfortune of falling during Pessah (Jewish Passover), the said café will only give you a hot drink the day before this holiday. And on the first day of the holiday, make do, the café is closed. Contacted following these inconveniences, the staff nonchalantly offered to reimburse us 300 shekels for 2 people per day, only to finally change their mind and offer this amount for two days. Really subpar service, blatant nonchalance and rudeness. Furthermore, the room was very small, the cleaning in the bathroom needed to be perfected (be careful of splashes of bleach on your clothes). There are much better things in Tel Aviv than this establishment which seems to want to ride on the reputation of its restaurant.

If service and human treatment is important to you, then look for another hotel.

Embarrassing and unpleasant service, we didn't hang up the cell phone inside and they treated us in the most disrespectful way possible..
I recommend you all to look for a hotel that appreciates its customers and does not humiliate them following legitimate requests, we really will not go back there.

I have stayed at the Mendeli Street hotel many times. It was, without doubt, my favorite hotel in Tel Aviv. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The hotel’s restaurant was superb. Then the place changed hands and all went down the drain.
During my last stay the hotel manager decided I had Covid. Not based on any evidence, mind you; I had a bad flu. This person then called me at my room and said I must “leave the hotel immediately”, and instructed the staff not to enter my room or give me any service. I refused to leave, of course. She then asked the Emergency Medical Services to enter my room and check me out. They came and did what they do best, including giving me an antigen test, which came out negative. This did not deter the manager: for the next five days she continued her strict no-service policy. Fortunately the staff, in kindness, brought me water. She even instructed the staff to refuse to deliver to my room food that my friends ordered for me! In summary, what was once a wonderful place turned into hell for me. What a pity! I’d be grateful to anyone who can suggest alternatives in Tel Aviv.

Upon arrival we entered the hotel straight in to the restaurant (which I believe is run separately). The reception was at the far end of the “lobby” area. We were shown to what we believed to be our “upgraded” twin room. It had two tiny windows, neither of which opened and were covered by blinds. It smelled of drains which was most unpleasant.
I went back to reception and said that a) we were expecting an upgraded room and b) the drain smell was intolerable. I was informed that this was an upgraded room! We were shown two other rooms. One was a double (not appropriate) and the other was a smaller, slightly brighter room but again with tiny windows. If it’s your intention to stay as a couple for two or three days, it would be ok but for a whole week it was inadequate with very little space to store our large bags giving us little room to move.
When I originally asked to change rooms, the staff member on reception informed me that the double room he was offering was used by a very important guest who didn’t smoke and was most polite (like that would make a difference!!). But we had specifically asked for a twin. He then intimated that they knew about the problem in the original room but the new room he showed us was one of his favourites. It certainly wasn’t ours. At this point the receptionist became very off hand with us and we set the wheels in motion to move hotels.
That evening we headed out for dinner and on our return, the drain smell had permeated through to the reception/restaurant and hit us as soon as we came in. Pity the poor diners.
Breakfast the following morning was very good. The staff were friendly, the buffet choices were fresh and very tasty. There was a menu but we decided the buffet was enough so stuck with that.

Would I recommend this hotel? As I said earlier, if you were a couple staying a max of 3 nights you might be ok. The location is good, the beds are comfortable and the hotel is within walking distance of the beautiful beaches. If you have no sense of smell you’ll be fine too.

Mendeli Hotel is a small jewel in Tel Aviv, probably at one of the best locations for those looking for a sea experience. Although the location is excellent, just 5 minutes from Frishman Beach, the key success of the owners and the Managing Director, Ms, GILI, is the spirit they achieved to bring to the team. Starting from the welcoming of Alon at the front desk through all those that we met, they all tried to make you feel at home and welcomed with any request. All hotels might have similar comfort and facilities but at the end of the day, the "Human factor" and the small "treats" is what you will remember.!!! Excellent job. Also, the restaurant and the unique and delicious breakfast were a real treat.!!! Well done!!! strongly recomended.

Good morning
What a desappointment!!!!
I had stayed in this hotel five years ago and had very good memories of it, but what a disappointment: microscopic room and bathroom, the glasses have not been washed, you cannot open the water bottles because the cap turned into a vacuum!
And what about the staff!? When I told them of my dissatisfaction they replied: I quote “you are only saying that because you want to change rooms”
Irate staff,
TO AVOID, GO YOUR WAY

Our flight arrived early but that didn’t stop Gili the manager making my wife and I feeling so welcome. They looked after our baggage and took us straight to breakfast. We were not meant to check in until 3pm.
Then we went to check in and we got a free upgrade to a superior room. We were there for 9 nights and everyday we were made to feel special and at home. All staff were so warm and helpful.
The hotel is in a perfect location 3 minutes from the beach and the breakfast is on a different level. You just have to try it!
Dizengoff is a 7 minute walk away and local shops just around the corner.
Thank you to everyone.
Jason and Veronika, London.
