The hotel is located in the middle of Jerusalem's Souk in the Old City so its a few minutes of walking from Damascus Gate. Being one of the very few hotels within the Old City it means you stay in proximity to everything but also requires a little bit of walking to get around. The rooms are very basic -... More

I made my way to the old city, and turned up at this hotel without booking in advance as i had stayed here last year. Thankfully I was met by kind members of staff who gave me the last unoccupied room with a great view of the old city! Room was spotless, comfy bed and clean toilet & shower. This... More

Very nice traditional and friendly people running the hotel. We were part of a large group. Everyone was happy with the stay. Location within the old city and bang in the middle of the market. No noisy disturbance though. Very nice views of dome of the rock and al-aqsa mosque from the roof and other parts of the city. Some... More

The location is unbelievable. I would not go anywhere else. Hotel has a lounge like sitting here n the fourth floor looking at Dome of the Rock, magnificent view. Staff is very friendly and breakfast is nice as well. Half the rooms were remodeled. We had the chance to try both. Remodeled room was very good. Some rooms have a... More

Stayed in Hashmi but it seems you've got to compromise with what they have. I found the environment very relaxed, the kids would freely move around and enjoy but were never told off.Specially the coffee machine for the kids was very interesting. They also allowed us to use the cooking facilities which was very helpful. However, room facilities were very disturbing.2 rooms... More

!Bulleted list of pros and cons at the bottom of review! First of all, when you arrive there, you'll notice it's described as a hotel/hostel but online you only see hotel and that's a bit misleading. Also, they say they have free wi-fi but your attempts at actually getting to work on your devices will INFURIATE you. And that should... More

Stayed one night. As other reviewers have noted, the location is fabulous and the view from the 4th floor is one of the best I've seen in the old city. For that reason alone, it might be worth staying. However, the internet did not work in our room, the rooms are a bit small and do not appear to be... More
