The Eyal is in a very noisy location. Music from the nearby pedestrian mall is annoying. The fridge in the room didn't work. I alerted the front desk and nothing was done. The Internet also didn't work. The bathroom was plagued with small knots and the room's safe needed a new battery. On the plus side, the breakfast was good. There are better choices to be had.

Very disappointing. From unfriendly reception to dirty carpets to dark and dingy passageways to awful small and unimpressive rooms to lowest budget breakfasts to noisy construction works and music. Would not come back

Non-functional internet, very underwhelming breakfast, doors that don’t readily, inconvenient lighting in an overall ambience that is dark and dimly lit — symbolizing some overall poor and lazy taste. Unlikely to recommend. Will not return. Can do better.

Family of 4 stayed 3 nights. You Can walk to jaffa gate really quick. Nice restaurants close by, we tried Georgien and Ramin restaurant. Shop just across with a variety of lokal beers. Parking lot just at the corner, we felt lucky. Nice large breakfast with tasty coffee and lots of choice.

Stayed for two nights as part of our tour. The hotel is in an excellent location downtown amongst shopping and eateries, also short waking distance to the Old City. Rooms were compact with modern amenities such as USB charging points and were very clean. Only downside were the beds. Our twin beds were too short and narrow. We are 5'9" (175cm) tall, our feet hung over the end and I fell out of the bed one night. Buffet breakfast was ample. The lobby would be more welcoming if smoking was not permitted and a different cleaning product was used as it always smelt like a public toilet. The hallways, painted very dark, made it feel like being on the set of a horror movie.

We booked 2 nights through Agoda As we arrived we were greated by a rude and inpatient receptionist. We asked for a double bed and a room with balcony even if with additional pay. We were assured that the room was with a balcony. Coming back later to get the room we found out there is no balcony and twin bed. There was no option to change. Our requests were not addressed by the staff and ignored by management. Further we were asked to pay vat even though Agoda's post said all tax included. No response from agoda customer service till now. The room itself was on 3rd floor and noisy. Woke up in the morning to the noise of an air compressor. The hotel includes parking. We had to sign a document that says we will be charged 300nis if we are late to move the car. The parking was dirty and stinking from sewer. The deal included breakfast which was not worth it and poor comparing to other Israely hotels. The coffee machines were not functioning well causing long queues. We would not recomend this place even though the location is good. There are many other places arround with value for money and more important no frustration from an unprofessional and rude staff.

We booked 2 rooms for 6 people for a weekend on 4-5 November 2022. As we arrived in our rooms, we found out that in both rooms the water in the shower were ORANGE (!), so that we could not clean ourselves properly during the weekend. We immediately went down to the reception, but the receptionist said that she has no available rooms, and that they are aware of the problem, which can be solved after 15 minutes of running water. We tried this inconvenient solution, but with no success. We informed her again, and she said she will update the hotel manager. At our check-out, we again asked for compensation for this unfortunate event, but again the other person in the reception desk said he cannot help but he will notify the manager. We have called them since, wrote them an e-mail with the attached photos, but no response or compensation was yet accepted. I think it is a shame that a hotel can provide rooms with no basic amenities as normal running water, and even if such an unfortunate event occurs, apology and compensation should be immediately provided.

I have to share an unpleasant experience and even before I arrived at the hotel!!! A representative at the reception answered me and told me that I should call that I was coming so that they would let me into the parking lot, which I did. But what happened was that there was a delivery scooter of food from the nearby restaurant blocking the entrance to the parking lot and I have to wait until they move the scooter and I have to call the police. I asked the representative if she was serious and that she wasn't laughing at me and she was serious and not laughing so I moved the scooter myself so I could enter the parking lot. I asked the reception representative to have a manager call me as soon as possible and she said ok and took my cell phone number. After 3 hours, I arrive at the reception and ask if there is a manager, then Amjad the manager was there and another manager with him and another service representative at the reception and they said that the service representative did not leave any contact on my part which is rude!!!! And after I told the two managers what happened to me, they answered me with all kinds of stories and excuses like what is there or is there nothing to do and I need to call the police and they couldn't move the scooter... I explained to them that I moved in a second and the scooter wasn't locked and they didn't even thoroughly check my application And they did not offer any compensation!!!! I asked them if they were serious and as far as I was concerned I probably need to move up in management... and I told them I would write my experience wherever possible!!!! And they answered me that there is no problem and that I will do it... in short, the worst service!!!!! And I don't recommend coming to this hotel with such service as I haven't started my vacation yet. It should be noted that I came with my wife and two little girls and the hotel looks good, but the service at the beginning ruined the whole experience and the vacation!!!!

The hotel room was clean and buffet breakfast good. The location makes it a big plus for quick access to old Jerusalem, makes it a place hard to get a good sleep at night. However, and this is a big drawback, the noise from the street can be phenomenal, and light sleepers will probably end up sleep deprived. Rooms facing Shameii street will have to listen to significant street noise at night and in the early morning, which during my stay included music, yelling and heavy construction that started at 05.30. The patrons of the Ethiopian restaurant with its open storefront directly across the street from the hotel was a primary source of noise every night during my stay, well until daybreak. One early morning, a low-rent group screamed at each other for hours. The street functions like an echo chamber and the noise from this establishment directly across the the hotel is amplified for those in the hotel’s enjoyment (sarcasm) even through closed windows. This extremely unpleasant noise went on until the people from the restaurant , who were participating in this brawl, finally decided to kick out the others at 06.00 am but it then migrated to the street for more open air theatre until the final departure of the perps. This boorish behaviour from the patrons and staff of another establishment obviously is not the fault of the hotel, but those who would like to have undisturbed sleep need to be warned about this problem in the direct environment for front-facing rooms of this hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel, despite that it was short. The staff members are amazing, very welcoming, easy to talk to and really helpful. Cheerful, lovely people. The hotel itself is very clean, well kept and comfortable. The location is really handy too, you could reach anywhere easily. 10/10 would visit again and I highly recommend it.
