Photos looks so fancy but once we arrived to the place we was in big shock. It is unsecured area. too noisy until very late time. Rooms are too old and small. Breakfast is terrible. People who works there does not smile and has no experience in customer service. Over all the above there is a German nun that is... More

We stayed 4 nights in Austrian Hospice in Jerusalem. Very well located in the Muslim Quarter, not far way from the Damascus Gate, and just on the Via Dolorosa. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. Staff is customer focused and offers a warm welcome. Rooms are correct, like in a religious hospice, with basic comfort. When you make that choice, you... More

We spend 4 nights in this hospice. The location is the best you can find in the old city of Jerusalem just near the Damascus gate inside the Arabic quarter. The rooms are correct for the price, clean and comfortable with a beautiful view on the old city. The coffee shop is good with very tasty and homemade apple strudel.... More

This gorgeous building was first erected in 1858 as part of the Capitulation process that took place in the second half of the 19th century in Jerusalem. The Hospice catered mainly to Austrian pilgrims who made their way to the holly land. Much like nowadays, the hospice is a cross breed between a hostel and a small hotel, offering dorms... More

What a lovely oasis of calm in Jerusalem. Ring the doorbell to enter. You can access the roof for 5INS and the views are amazing. There is a great display of photos on one of the corridors.....amazing pictures from Gaza. Get a coffee and sit in the lovely gardens

Don't believe the hype - there are much better alternatives in Jerusalem! We stayed here and were very disappointed with the quality of service (from every staff member we encountered). Rooms felt tired and needed refurbishment. Outrageous that cash payments accepted only considering the price is 63 Euros per night! Would never come back here again.

Awesome experience. Staff very very helpful. Very clean at all aspects. Breakfast excellent! You are in the center of everything. Specially the western wall and VIA DOLOROSA where Christmas carried his cross and was crucified. I was surprised how well all religion respect each other faith. Never expect to feel so comfortable in Israel. The kids at the DAMASCUS GATE... More

Best views from the roof in the whole city. It is so beautiful, takes your breath away. Just magnificent. Very cool, serene spot with the breeze in the middle of incredibly busy city full of history and meaning. We did not stay, only visited and highly recommend to visit.

I spent four highly-anticipated nights last week at the Austrian Hospice and was sadly disappointed. I have been to Jerusalem 19 times and have slept several different places in the Old City. I had heard great things about the AH and loved what I saw of the lobby and cafe when I stopped in there in March. So, I decided... More
