I stayed while it was being renovated, and thus the facilities provided were not satisfactory. The view is excellent. It's located in a central location, which is pretty close to a lot of site seeing locations. Food is average. One of the oldest places in Jerusalem.

otel Seven Arches Jerusalem is the southern slopes of the Mount of Olives, not far from the Mount Scopus and looks out from the west, at the Old City of Jerusalem with perhaps one of the more beautiful, most inspiring views of living ancient history in the world. To the north, the hotel overlooks the backdrop of the hills of... More

I stayed here for 3 days in April 2013. The 7 arches hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Jerusalem. The hotel is pretty antique, the rooms are big but has old furniture. It gets very cold in the room at night, one has to nicely wrap up inside the blanket. The dining hall is big and they serve... More

Located on the mount of olives it is only a 20-30 minutes walk to the Old City and has one of the best views of the Temple Mount and Al Aqsa mosque. The location is amazing. That is the only positive thing i can say. However the hotel is very tired, long overdue for a refurb and my room was... More

I first stayed at the then Intercontinental Hotel on the Mount of Olives in late 1985 and early 1986. At that point, it was a five star establishment. I stayed there again with my family in December 2013. The hotel was just as it was in the 1980's. Yes, it has aged a bit. Yes, it is not "modern", but... More

Excellent view, the best of the entire city. old furniture, '80s, but large rooms and fast wifi in common areas. Excellent breakfast, almost unforgettable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel very quiet, close to Gethsemane, with big parking.

We had no air conditioning. Trying to sleep in room a 85 degrees was not possible. The buffet for breakfast and dinner were wonderful. Too bad the dining room was even warmer than the guest rooms. The hotel needs lots of work. We had a lampshade with the trim falling off. Just one of the many signs of NO maintenance.

Superb location on the top of mount of olive. Great view of the old city. We had a camel just outside our room window. Named him Archie. Very nice full breakfast included. This hotel was THE hotel back in the 50s and 60s. It has fallen into a state of disrepair unfortunately. Dont think it has ever been updated since... More

First of all, while it is true this hotel's "glory days" are in the past, 7 Arches remains a great place to stay while in Jerusalem. The view of the Old City is incredible, probably the most famous in the world. I encountered nothing but clean rooms and the daily upkeep was excellent. Maybe the hotel could do something to... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Seven Arches Jerusalem is the southern slopes of the Mount of Olives, not far from the Mount Scopus and looks out from the west, at the Old City of Jerusalem with perhaps one of the more beautiful, most inspiring views of living ancient history in the world. To the north, the hotel overlooks the backdrop of the hills of Bethlehem surrounded by large Green Garden. In an effort to better serve our guests, Hotel Seven Arches is proud to announce that our renovation project is now in its final stages, and will be completed in one month. Your stay will now be even more enhanced by the upgraded rooms, restaurants, and lobby area. Our rooms freshly renovated in 2016, few of them with the best view of Jerusalem, now offer modernized, convenient features. Rooms are completely refurbished from carpet to curtains, furniture to fixtures, while the bathrooms are newly refreshed with all new bathroom hardware, lighting and mirrors. Hotel Seven Arches is a short distance from the ancient historical and religious sites of the Holy City and is the perfect base for excursions to Bethlehem, Jericho, Masada, Galilee and beyond. Transportation from Ben Gurion International in Tel-Aviv to the hotel is 50Km (31-60 min. by taxi), and from the hotel to the city center of Jerusalem is 3 km (2-5min. by taxi). Official languages are Arabic and English, Hebrew is widely spoken, and many speak French, German, and Spanish. ... more   less
