From the very first seconds after entering the Addar hotel I was surrounded by care:) Very friendly and thoughtful manager Yaya and the team were very helpful! Hotel is in a authentic style, large rooms with AC and fast WiFi. Good breakfast, with a different type of hummus and a perfect location, just a 15 mins walk down the sreet and right to the old city. It's the best offer in town for this price!

Completely not how it was in the pictures or how it’s described online. The description online claims it has a “great free breakfast for guests and wifi available to guests” when in reality both are lies. The “great breakfast” was just cereal, old expired milk, stale bread, and a toaster which was broken. The wifi was not working in the hotel so you actually don’t have wifi there and I had to use the wifi from another hotel nearby in order to use the internet on my phone. The rooms themselves are old and outdated, there weren’t even shower curtains in the bathrooms so when you step out there’s water all over the floor. When a family emergency came up that had me leave early unexpectedly, I talked with the front desk about refund possibilities and I was told yes that I could get refunded for the nights I wasn’t there, but once I left and called my credit card company to get that refund, they then said no that the hotel policy wouldn’t allow refunds to guests. Complete scam of a hotel, DO NOT STAY HERE!

On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate the hotel a solid 8. The location is almost perfect, 10 minutes walk from the Damascus Gate of the old city of Jerusalem. Restaurants and shops are within 5 minutes walk, mostly budget ones and this is a big advantage for travelers. Fast internet, new mattresses, breakfast included in the price - nice bonuses. Breakfast is included, but too "European" in the sense that it is very modest: bread, butter, cheese and egg plus tea or coffee. On the other hand, given the exceptionally low cost of accommodation, we were pleasantly surprised by the very fact that breakfast was available. Perhaps the only minus is that the hotel is a little "tired", in some places in need of light repairs and . All this is not critical, but you should not expect a 4-5 star level.

Our experience in Addar Hotel was an interesting one. Overall the rooms are pretty average, and the beds quite uncomfortable. Even though the room wasn't great, we got a lot of help and tips for walking around Jerusalem from the staff. I want to thank the most amazing staff we met there named Hashem, and who was kind enough to help us organize our day, helped us with luggages, and with anything else we needed. In addition, he made us feel very comfortable with being 2 girls, and provided quality service with a wide smile on his face. thank you once again. The breakfast is decent, very average but the service was very sweet. Thanks.

I booked here through Hotelbeds and stayed here in november. The hotel has a good location and I think this is the only positive thing I could say. Breakfast was poor and staff was rude. He did not look at even our face during check in and was smoking. Room was cold and there was not glass in room . There was not slipper in room and we had to go to bathroom with shoes. Shortly , don ‘t book here if you have a chance .

I giving a one star, because I can't leave less than that. This is the far worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We booked a deluxe room with a balcony, instead we were given a rear back room on the ground flood with a patio accessible to anyone and filthy. Small, outdated room that was to sleep only one person, they stuck a double mattress on it and in the evening both of us were falling from the bed. They ignored any requests to change the room, saying it was the only available room and if we don't like it we should leave. The bathroom was filthy, unclean and a used soap was provided on the sink. Breakfast was terrible, consisting only of the cheapest slices of bread, jam and cheese that went fast. When I requested refilling, the staff was unhappy and brought only half of a plate back to the buffet. More over, the wifi didn't work, the place was dirty and unclean and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! Simply don't go!

This is the worst hotel I have ever staying in. Avoid at any point coming here... old building, no maintenance at all, dirty rooms and no hot water at all. Service is poor and staff ignores the requests from the guests Do not ever come here!!! Is the cheapest option that comes first in booking.com or ebookers.com and the pictures of the website are way to far from reality.

If you want a real experience of life in East Jerusalem, this is your perfect stay. The hotel rooms are a good size, it is clean, but do not expect 7star customer service. Avoid breakfast, much better to eat outside. The location is only 10 min walk from Damascus Gate. Huge difference between the rundown Muslim area of East Jerusalem, and the big modern west Jerusalem. You can get to the hotel in 5-6 mins from the tram station.
