The tour company I contracted with, booked me into this hotel. There were a couple issues that the tour company neglected to get right in regards to my hotel bookings. The front desk staff at this hotel were very helpful in resolving these issues. Our rooms were clean and apparently had been remodeled recently. We enjoyed a large Israeli breakfast buffet with coffee each morning before our tours. Upon return from our tours, the 8th floor pool was inviting. It's not on the roof but feels like it is with great views and lounging furniture. The pool is a good size. The other amenity was the business lounge. It had bottled water, soft drinks, beer and wine. It also had small plates of food for snacking. Alisa (who was on duty in the business lounge) was always cheerful and helpful. I was trying to figure out how to use the the coffee machine when she came over and said "Let me get that for you". After our tours, this was another relaxing area of the hotel. We walked to the Old City and went through the Zion Gate which took us about 35-40 minutes the first day we were in Jerusalem. It seems it's shorter to go through the Jaffa Gate. The front desk has maps of the Old City. My only negative wasthe bar restaurant. The food was mediocre. Also, I didn't feel there was much that was immediately around the hotel. There was one excellent restaurant we found across from the hotel.…
I just spent five luxurious days, in Dan panorama, as a woman, alone visiting, Jeruselum on a pilgrimage, and personal Journey, I found this hotel, great, because every thing, is a walk away, jaffa, gate, in the old city, was the entrance, to all the quarters, of faiths, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, it's a 25xmin walk, from the hotel, and I went by foot, every day, to see every thing, free of tours, apart from Bethlehem,I took a tour breakfast was good, and there is a place called the station, across the Rd, ten minutes away, lovely resturauntes, cash machine, and bars. If you are travelling alone, this is perfect, also for families, and couples, the staff, were lovely, room good, and great access, to everything. Don't be afraid, if you are alone. It's worth it.
Our holiday was enhanced by the outstanding service from Carmel (guest services in the dining room) and Mahmoud (who greeted us on the reception in the dining room at breakfast). Both of the above are amazingly helpful and pro-active members of staff and real assets to the team
Great service and staff, the door handle to our room was outdated and damaged. The front desk staff Khader and Mufid were extremely helpful and should be commended for their work and kindness - the gift store overcharged for a shirt we wanted which was the only down side of the hotel stay
מלון כיפי עם חדרים מרווחים ומיקום מצוין. גולת הכותרת היא חמיס אבו גוש וצוות הנהדר בחדר האוכל!! Big rooms and excellent location Hamis Abu Gosh and his team are so dedicated and kind - make everything extra special
We have really enjoyed our stay. It has been enhanced as a result of the outstanding and super helpful services of the followong staff members: Oded - duty manager; Gal - front office manager; Naim, Hamis Abu Ghosh and Khaled - dining room; Nasser -pool Caroline Greenbourne
After an absence of over 2 years because of Covid we are really happy to be able to return here. People who were especially helpful have been Hamis Abu Ghosh in the dining room and also Khaled, Gal who manages rooms and Oded. It was also good to be welcomed again by Naim in charge of the dining room.
We have been coming to this hotel for years and always enjoyed it, and this time is no different. Staff are really helpful and facilities are great. In particular, Hamis Abu Ghosh has been so helpful in the dining room. There are some foods that I can’t eat and he has been super careful to make sure that everything is accommodated for. - Sara Greenbourne
Pluses were generally helpful staff (shout out for Mahmoud in F&B), great breakfast, rooms a decent size with big, comfy beds. Pretty good location. Main downsides were that it could do with a refurb, with a decor that looks mid 1990s at best and tired looking bathrooms. Housekeeping was also a little haphazard, with an odd tendency to skimp on loo roll. Overall it’s a solid place to stay but we were left a bit curious as to the love others seem to have for it.
We have been coming to Dan Hotels at least once /twice a year for 50 years We would never stay anywhere else. The rooms, breakfast , service and personal attention is always wonderful. We will be visiting yet again in 12 days, and we are greatly looking forward to our visit at the Dan Panorama Jerusalem and also the Dan Tel Aviv.
