Avigail at the Kings David Hotel in Jerusalem was amazing. Thanks for all your help. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is gracious. Artem, Daniel and Judith were very fun and we enjoyed them greatly.
Spent 3 nights to celebrate a special anniversary . It was absolutely everything we’d hoped it would be . Service was amazing starting with Ron , who greeted us , brought us to our room , gave a history tour of this fascinating hotel , got us a cab etc . Breakfast must be eaten at the lush King David buffet ! Pool was magnificent, you truly felt whisked away to a lush tropical paradise . Room amenities were gracious … really a perfect experience . We WILL be back !
Everything was excellent. Almond pasta so very good! Lentil soup so very unique. Mohammad (waiter), Shani (waitress) and Yendena (wine specialist) we’re all amazing. Don’t miss this place because you will miss out!
We're visiting Jerusalem for 4 days enroute to Egypt. Viking booked us in the King David. Not having any preconceived ideas, we arrived and all we could say was WOW! This place is unbelievable. Come to find out it's where presidents, royalty, movie stars, the who's who in rock your world stay. And why not? They've thought of every detail to make you comfortable. Ron the Guest Relations manager gave a tour and explained the rich history of the hotel. I could go on and o. About the architecture, service, amenities but best you check it out yourself. You wo t be sorry. Oh! And be sure to check out their walk of fame...everyone from Wnston Churchill to Joe Biden, Queen Elizabeth, Sting, Black Eyed Peas, Elizabeth Taylor- you get the idea....
The terrace is a magical place with a wonderful view to the old city. The service is great Adel and Yardeha were super helpful, the Rose is really good. I highly recommend this place is perfect for relaxing after busy day or just to visit and enjoy the amazing view.
Rather than being shown to your rooms immediately upon arrival, you have to wait for a hotel host to greet you at the reception area. This option should be a choice. After a long trip, the last thing you want to is to wait one hour to be shown to your rooms. The host provides no additional useful information. If the goal was to make us feel special, it didn't. Rooms are nice. The ones facing the Old City offer spectacular views and are well sized. However, maintenance on the rooms is quite poor. One had a loose makeup mirror that was about to fall off. All three rooms we stayed in had the same shower issues: Leaky doors that led to flooded bathroom floors, a perpetual (cold) drip from the ceiling shower head, and absolutely no water temperature control in the shower. After my third scalding I decided the only safe shower I could take was with cold water. Showering became a very unpleasant experience. Our complains were ignored. The breakfast experience was just horrible. The buffet lacked any kind of hot items, either beverage or food. You had to ask the waiters for these, and this is where the problem was. The service was awful. You could ask for coffee or orange juice several times and all you get is a nasty look from the waiters. They looked at you with contempt and disgust. My egg order was always wrong (what's so hard about one egg over easy??) The older gentlemen made an attempt but the younger personnel clearly would rather do something else. They often got together in groups and either talked or argued among themselves. Who knows what they were talking about themselves, but some times we felt threatened and couldn't wait to get out of there every morning. The lifeguards at the pool were doing a lot of things except lifeguarding. They were glued to their phones rather than keeping an eye on swimmers. Some guests would dive into the pool even though it was forbidden and got no warning from the lifeguard. I was hit with a ball twice which of course went unnoticed. One young child fell into the pool and had to be rescued by other guests because the lifeguard was talking on the phone.…
Every time we visit Jerusalem from the UK we like to call in and enjoy the outside eating area. This time we had our usual superb cool really fresh juice drinks but also some soup. As always e were made very welcome although we were dressed very informally. The waitresses Carmel and Eleanor deserve special praise for their generous kindness and help.
We enjoyed the hotel so Much that we returned a week after our first visit The refurbished rooms are elegant and luxurious The view of the Jerusalem wall was inspiring Breakfast each day was like s banquet such choice lovely good snd good old fashioned service The pool area is as near as you get to Perfect The hotel interior is superb
My waitress was excellent and very attentive. The menu is simple but well prepared (O had the Caesar Salad with salmon. It should be noted that the restaurant is dairy kosher so no meat. The King David wine I had with the meal was good. The only downside was that I was a non resident single person so was ‘encouraged’ to eat inside rather than clutter up the outside terrace.
We came to the restaurant on Friday and The service was great Mohammad Carmel ibrahim and Lina were all very kind and helpful. Everything was delicious we well come again and recommend others . Noa , tamar, tehilla, eti
