The Abraham Jerusalem is located in the vibrant heart of downtown Jerusalem. The hostel is conveniently situated next to the Mahane Yehuda market, and all major tourist sites within the Old City are within walking distance. On our doorstop, you will also find tram and bus connections to the rest of the city, the central bus station and the new Jerusalem train station. The hostel offers a wide variety of daily activities in our social spaces, such as "hummus making workshops", "open mic nights" & "bar tours". We also operate excursions within Jerusalem, to Masada & The Dead Sea, to the West Bank, to Petra (Jordan) & more. Whether it's our hostel bar, activities, tours, or chill-out rooftop, we try to provide everything an independent traveler needs when travelling in the region. For those traveling outside of Jerusalem, we offer a special discount when staying in "Abraham Tel Aviv", the "Fauzi Azar by Abraham " in Nazareth and "Abraham Eilat". In addition, all Abraham guests will receive a discount code for Abraham Tours products upon booking nights with us.

Excellent Hostel! So many friendly & helpful people, very tasty breakfast with great choice - good vibes all round. Highly recommended! I called on spec late at night looking for a room to stay and the staff were very accommodating even though I hadn't made a booking.

Just a great place to stay. Comfortable, well located. Super resources. Highly recommended! Nothing more to add other than words which are required to fill up TripAdvisor’s 200 word minimum which is somewhat irritating!

I booked a private room as a solo traveler and everything was either great or good EXCEPT for the bed! As a middle-aged traveler, I found this to be literally the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in and in talking with others I am not the only one who feels this way. It was rock-hard and just wrecked my body the first night, to the point that I considered leaving for a different place. The second night I got an extra comforter and built a nest with the pillows and comforters and it was better but not great. As a bed is one of the two things I am looking for in a room (the other being a hot shower) that makes this hostel a no-go for me. HOWEVER if you are okay with the bed then it's an awesome place. The location is seriously great, with lots of restaurants and markets and public transportation within steps of the door. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. There's a nice roof-top area and live music some nights. Breakfast was fine, if not a little light on fruit options. Hot water worked, water pressure was okay once I adjusted the showerhead, and AC/heater was good as well. The room, though a bit utilitarian (think concrete walls), was perfectly nice. There's even an elevator in case you're an older traveler who doesn't want to lug suitcases upstairs. And though pricey for a hostel room it was very reasonably priced for Jerusalem in general. So like I said, if it weren't for the bed being the most awful thing I have ever experienced this would be a 5-star place. I'd give it a try and see if it works for you but if you're older, or have a bad back, or need a comfortable bed, I'd have a backup place in mind as well in case it doesn't work for you, like it didn't for me.

Staff very friendly, rooms good. Great location, walking distance of all the main attractions. Booked a few tours through them as well and all were very good. The price was good for the area. Thoroughly recommend

Good staff, nice site, huge breakfast! We are unlucky about the room - dorm, it was at the basement without windows. Hot water, clean toilets. About 20 minutes by foot to old city. Nevertheless, I recommend it!

If your looking for cheap accommodation in the centre of town this is for you. We had a twin room which was clean and the wifi was great. There’s a friendly vibe and the staff are helpful. It’s not the Ritz but it’s not Ritz money. Parking close by was expensive but Israel is expensive. I would use this hotel again.

Abraham is a great hostel stay. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I traveled to Jerusalem with my son, and thought that I booked twin separate beds but didn't make note of this in the booking. They immediately took care of it, without any problems. The rooms were clean, the staff were always cleaning. The location is perfect. Loved the walk down the mall to the Old City. In fact we walked everywhere from this location. The food and shopping nearby were perfect as well. I enjoyed the breakfast and the bands they had on several nights. FEM night had a really good vibe... good band - great singers. The hostel offered a lot of tours, for a good price. I am not a tour kind a person, but at breakfast other guests highly spoke of the tours. Basically Abraham is what you want from a hostel- it's one of the best.

Because of the unfriendly staff, I had an unpleasant experience in Jerusalem. They gave me the wrong information about tips that I was supposed to give my free walking tour guide. (One told me 25 euros but it was 1/2) The room was so noisy all night long, so I couldn't sleep well. The free breakfast buffet and the location were not bad. But when I moved to Abraham Tel Aviv by train, I had a terrible problem getting there because one staff of Jerusalem gave me the wrong information with an insincere attitude. I have something more to say but stop now.

Lovely place to stay at while visiting Jerusalem. It is in the heart of everything that interested me, from the market to the holy sites. All this topped by an excellent team and great all-around vibe. Nobody is trying too hard, it's just a great, simple, accessible atmosphere. My advice - it's worth waking up early to visit the holy sites and getting there before the crowds of people.

We were in Israel visiting family and friends and wanted to be close to the center of Jerusalem for a couple of nights. Abraham Hostel was great for us as a couple with our 11 year old son. We had a family room and it was clean and there were other areas to hang out and breakfast was fabulous. Great price. We would highly recommend.
