Very weird hostel. It's a fantastic location, my room was clean, free breakfast too, but the staff were quite rude at times. I would probably look elsewhere if I came back to Jerusalem, can't say Abraham lived up to the high expectations it was given.

Dear guest, Thanks for your feedback. We're glad that you enjoyed our central location and appreciated our free Israeli breakfast. Our young team all have one thing in common, whether we're local or not, we're all travelers ourselves and want to make this hostel live up to our own expectations. We'd love to here about any specific incidents in which... More

I've stayed at this hostel twice and have enjoyed both stays immensely. Great for any travelers - solo, groups, families, etc. There are always fun events, amazing and interesting tours to join. The rooms are always clean and the rooftop is so much fun. I will always stay here when I'm in Jerusalem.

The place is located a 10-15 minutes footwalk away to the Old City (but also directly near a tram station that will lead you directly there). It offers a cozy environment with a great staff that works from my impression with a great passion for what they do. The hostel is especially great for individual travelers that might have not... I've never stayed in a Hostle before but if they are all like this one it's the way to go. Amazing staff, clean, full of activities and entertainment, it is wonderful. Definite use their tour desk, I went to Petra with one if their tours and it was the best two days of my month long stay.

Good food for breakfast is included, there are refrigerators in the lounge, the enviroment is cosy and cheery and the location is in the middle of the city and near to the turistic places. The hostel organized many activities for the guests.

I had heard great things about this hostel and it did not meet my expectations. The only really good thing was the location. It was very close to the tram and it was a reasonable distance to the Old City (30 min to the Kotel). We stayed during Shabbat and it was helpful that the bar served pizza. There was... More

The Hostel is in the middle of the city, near many attractions. Very comfortable and easy to get every place because of the Location and the public transport near Abraham Hostel. Good Staff, Clean rooms, nice breakfast, excellent atmosphere. Warm Hospitality.

This is not the place to stay if you want to experience Jerusalem properly ! It's a long walk from the old city (30 minutes)! Our room did not have any windows which was particularly grim! The toilets were grim, the room was grim and the hostel was lacking atmosphere !

Room wasn't cleaned on time, and wasn't very clean at all. Weird juju in the room. However the activity staff was great and the hummus work shop was AMAZING. Wished we could have done more of the tours or activities. They have roof top yoga once a week!

This is one great hostel that does everything that a decent hostel should do. Plenty of room to chill out, a rooftop, activities throughout the week and tours. AC in the room was very much appreciated. So was the bar and happy hour ;-) Abraham is clean and friendly and seems to attract very eclectic and interesting people. I would... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Abraham is known as the father of monotheism and was the first backpacker in the Middle East. He journeyed throughout the lands accepting hospitality from those whose homes he came to, and extending hospitality to anyone who passed near his tent. We wish to extend Abraham's Biblical hospitality to our time. We, the staff & owners of Abraham Hostels, created our dream hostel in Jerusalem to support travelers in the Middle East. The Abraham Hostel is located in Jerusalem's city center catering for independent travelers and small groups. Our location allows for easy walking access to all major sites such as the Old City or Mahane Yehuda Market. There are plenty of public transportation options right outside to various Jerusalem sites, as well as to the international airport and other cities in Israel and the West Bank. The hostel offers daily activities and tours in our ongoing effort to encourage travelers to make new friends and new experiences. Whether it's our hostel bar, traveler's information center or chill-out rooftop, we try to provide everything an independent traveler needs when travelling in the area. For those traveling outside Jerusalem there is a special discount when staying in Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv and the Fauzi Azar Inn in Nazreth, as well as special shuttle service between all three branches. ... more   less
