The best of historic and modern Jerusalem comes together at the Leonardo Jerusalem, your preferred choice for any visit to Israel's bustling capital city, where countless attractions are within easy walking distance or accessible via the nearby light rail stop, including the Western Wall and Israel Museum. Featuring 398 beautifully-designed rooms, the family-friendly hotel always puts guest comfort and convenience first, offering a range of services for observant guests, as well as the Welcome Baby service for parents of small children. Of course, every room includes A/C and free Wi-Fi as standard. An advanced conference hall is available for private or business events, with optional catering from the excellent on-site kosher restaurant. Thanks to its prime central location, the Leonardo Jerusalem also serves as the perfect starting point for exploring the city, including the Old City, Bible Lands Museum, Mahane Yehuda Market, Tower of David, and more, with many guided tours available.

The Leonardo Hotel was a true gem. The staff went above and beyond just being friendly and helpful, but took their time to talk to us and help us for any reason. The the rooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of room for 3 people. The location pretty good as long as your okay walking or talking a cab.

I am traveling from the US on a Globus tour of Israel. As a person who has traveled often, with many hotels to compare the Leonardo to, I am shocked at some of the high ratings. The hotel is extremely large, containing 398 rooms, which usually equals about double the people, and I expect all rooms were filled when our tour stayed there in November. The rooms are small which I don't have a problem with, but the rooms are not very modern and give the appearance of an aged building. The toilet did not flush the toilet paper on the first or second try, but if you were persistent you could get the flush to work. Not worth a 4 star rating compared to other hotels in Israel. Breakfast and dinner was both a challenge and a disappointment. My partner and I are both vegetarian, not eating meat, fish or eggs. For breakfast our choices were potatoes (hot item), yogurt and bread, while all other guests had many hot dishes that contained egg in addition to other items we do not eat. Dinner was about the same but due to items being Kosher, dairy was eliminated while meat was present leaving our hot options to be potatoes and most times string beans. Other guests had many meat, chicken and fish items to choose from, we did not. Even though there were waiters moving about, food service is not a priority at this hotel and carafes of water were never refilled even after asking multiple times. Waiters were rude and demanding, as if we as guests were in the wrong for eating at the restaurant and asking for coffee or water or spoons. Small spoons were not present at breakfast for yogurt, hard to eat with a large soup spoon. Again, customer service is lacking. Thinking too many people for the hotel to service appropriately. Overall, I think the Leonardo is a 2 star hotel.

I will begin with the highlights. The room had amazing views of the city. I loved the windows. They could also be opened, so I got a nice breeze. The food was delicious. So much variety at the buffet for breakfast and dinner. However, the room was not up to the high standard I expected from a five star hotel. It was very dated and in desperate need of a remodel. It was also not clean. I was not convinced that the bathroom had been cleaned since the last guest. There were soap rings in the tub from a soap bottle. I also found hair and dust that should have been easily cleaned from the counters. The hotel overall was in a decent location to get to the heart of the city. But unfortunately, because of the lack of cleanliness, I don't know that I'd stay here again.

I have been staying here for five days. During that time my bedsheets have not been changed. An item of my belongings has been broken by hospitality services (dropped I presume during cleaning) Customer service from the reception team is very much dependant on who is on duty. Many of the younger male staff are more interested in their mobile phones than helping customers. The hotel will not help / book shuttle transfers for you, claiming not to know about them When I tried to make a complain the reception team transferred my call to different depts in the hotel before finally hanging up on me. I am sure they found this fun. I suspect I would not have been treated in this way had I been a male. When I expressed my frustration to a young male reception team member he commented that 'did you want a pharmacy' - really offensive behaviour. No real facilities to make a complaint.

The hotel is well located, staff take pride in their work, clean hotel AND my pain meds were stolen out of my suitcase. I had 2 pain medications . I also had heart and arthritis meds along with the Oxycodone in a small bag inside my suitcase. I did not use the pain meds everyday. So I did not notice them missing until we reached our next destination. All other meds remained. It is clear the drugs prescribed for my back pain were stolen. This is criminal theft of a narcotic and leaves me without the pain meds I need to continue to enjoy my trip. You have a problem with a staff person in your employ. How are you going to remedy this situation?

Hotel has a nice, superficial appearance, inside and out. Public spaces are nice. It is also an 8-minute walk to the Damascus Gate entrance to the old city. Good sized guest room, clean and comfortable. Nice amenities. Poor download WIFI and almost no upload at all. Hotel could use a good refresh- an older place that cosmetic changes do not cover up the poor maintenance and aging of the property. Few restaurants around the hotel but there is a cluster of them about 7 minutes away, including Cloves, Azka, and Grill House, all very good to excellent, and from upscale to neighborhood-type. One note: hotel filled with children yelling and screaming in their rooms, hallways, and public areas. For older adults, this is quite annoying. Parents did not attempt to control their children.

This was our next hotel on our trip to Israel . Hotel is a old name in the town . For us we stayed here for two nights . Check in was fast . Hotel has a good , nicely sized and cozy rooms . Bathrooms provided were good with clean towels . Wifi was having good connectivity as well . Hotel is however not in vicinity to any important landmark/local eatery/shopping place . There breakfast area is huge with nice buffet spread . Options were good and service was rather quick considering the crowd size . We loved our stay here

Me and my spouse came to celebrate his birthday and we declared in advance that we come to celebrate ,but even a note of happy birthday we didn't get in to the room . Receptionist was not welcoming at all ,almost no communication during check in ,not a smile or welcome note to the guests . We got the room on the 5th floor near the elevator ,very noisy location . The room is small and the sheets were not clean . Air condition and hair drier didn't work . Reception haven't responded when we called and stayed on line for more then 15 min . The next morning when we went to have a breakfast ,it was a disaster what we saw there . I couldn't even find a clean cup to make myself a coffee . The food was not tasty and they did make omelet in the middle of the dining room with no ventilation in the ceiling and it felt like a barbeque party

A big hotel with a small parking lot, that cost more than $25 per day. Small room , small bed. The room has a fridge and a safe box and a TV. The bathroom and the toilet are in separate rooms. I rated it 2 out of 5 but it was even worse! I ordered the room mentioning that we’re celebrating a birthday and wanted to pay for a surprise. The receptionist said it’s a service they provide with no charge. Apparently you need to be a club member so we got nothing. The toilet flashing was broken and difficult to use. The bath tub water mixer was broken. We barely (but successfully) could change the water stream from down to the tube. The spaces between the bath tiles was moldy!! The toilet seat and the sink was not clean!! The hotel is poorly maintained. The windows are not well seated so we had noises all through the night (7th floor). Breakfast is rich but the dining area is very noise with a constant “music” of iron chairs being grabbed on stone flooring. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.
