Settled in the center of Jerusalem, aside the Russian Spiritual Mission, and the Holy Trinity Cathedral, the Sergei Palace Hotel by right is estimated as one of the outstanding architectural properties of the whole city. We are located at the heart of Jerusalem. The Hotel is 1 minute walk from the city center of Jerusalem, 5 minutes walk from the old city. Fast access to shopping center and restaurants. Very near to tramway city pass station. Built in 1890, the Sergei Palace Hotel was a symbol of imperial Russia’s presence in the Holy Land. The recently refurbished space is a nine-acre complex of verdant gardens with two Renaissance-styled towers and surrounded by a square of two-story stone buildings. It house the 22-room hotel, a library and museum detailing the Russian Compound’s rich history. The complex was funded by an uncle of Tsar Nicholas II and built in 1890 by the Imperial Orthodox Society of Palestine to house pilgrims. Come Book your stay with us today!

There is quite a bit of history to this place with Pres Putin moved to tears when he visited this building. The reception is friendly and professional and calm. The rooms have character and are clean and comfortable, though try to get a room facing the inner court; we had rooms facing the police/military compound across the street, with electricity generators buzzing around the clock, and had to put our wax earplugs deep to get some sleep. At breakfast we were alone for three days in a row which was a bit strange but we were served great omelets and tasty coffee. The hotel is a walking distance from the old city and the Machane Yehuda market with a lot of nice restaurants.

We were looking for a special and pampering place in Jerusalem - and we defended found it in this special hotel. The hotel has 22 rooms. In the center of the hotel there is a green and well-kept garden, very pleasant and the hotel's restaurant. We were welcomed by the manager - Solar - which was very friendly and made us fell so welcome . He gave us a tour of the place and the courtyard and explained the special history of the hotel. The room we got was on the second floor (no elevator). Beautiful room, very clean and furnished with pleasant elegance. The room's window faced the street and the Russian Church in the background. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The restaurant manager - Anton - was patient and answered any questions we had. The food, which is a mix of Russian and Mediterranean food, was delicious for each and every one of us. I highly recommend the hotel - great location, great place , great staff

What a shame. A 3 stars amateurish guesthouse in a 5 stars hotel’s settings. Looks like they haven’t decided if they are a luxury hotel or a pilgrimage guesthouse, so very split on this one. Pros: location, beautiful historic building and a breathtaking tranquil huge interior yard (as the name suggests). Tasty yet (as everything else, amateurish) restaurant. Kind staff. New. Some rooms are very spacious. Price. Cons: the noise from the bars on the street was unbearable and lasted until 01.30, when we (not the reception ) called the police. And it still was noisy. The reception said it was a problem they couldn’t solve. Generally the staff, while all very pleasant(!), seems very amateurish. From reception to restaurant servers. The design of the rooms meant to reflect the old grandeur of the palace. But in reality it seems very outdated and somewhat tasteless. Very “Russian”. It seems after they finished renovating the place they decided to cut down on expenses everywhere they could. With the linens, towels, the safe (the smallest I’ve seen in years!), the amenities (practically none), up to the toilet paper and tissues- all very basic and low quality. Breakfast is very basic. This could have been (and still can be) an excellent and memorable hotel. It just need to step up its game and be run professionally.

We stayed in Sergei Palace for two nights in a party of three families with Children at the ages of 5-7. In short it was an amazing experience and a very enjoyable one at that at very affordable rates. The hotel grounds are gorgeous and very well kept. The children had hours of fun running around, playing hide and seek and board games. When they made too much noise (and ohh they did…) the staff politely asked them to make less noise. They were really very kind and sweet to the kids. The breakfast which is served in the beautiful garden is an amazing experience. The good was mouthwatering and delicious, was served to the table, in handsome portions with a smile. It did require some patience when all the guests came in the same hour but we enjoyed the sit down so we did not mind. Breakfast included omelets, fried zucchini and eggplants, falafel, “shaksuka”, cheeses, local bagels and breads, spreads, juice and coffee. Everything was fresh and super tasty. The hotel is a short walking distance from Nachalat Shiva. The streets are beautifully decorated are there are musicians and other entertainers. The location is amazing, tons of coffee places, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Super super fun to go down and listen to open air music and just hang around. Jerusalem municipality really goes all out here during the summer nights. Lastly but not least, is the hotel’s lovely staff. Everybody were kind, extremely service oriented and very helpful. It made our stay so much more enjoyable. I want to extend a very warm thank you to Naseem, Salar and Anton who made our stay so excellent and made us feel so welcome. Reservations are made via whatsup. Very smooth and convenient. One minus is there is no wifi in the hotel. Additionally, travelling with kids, usually, we book hotels with pools, but in this case, honestly it was so special and gorgeous, the lack of pool and/or wife is completely overweighed by the pros.

Starting with Naseem from the reception/reservation and everything you need, always for you with a smile and practical help and advise. The room was extremely comfort, beautiful and clean. We were lucky to have garden view which was special by itself. We did not have the chance to use the restaurant other than breakfast that was very fresh and tasty. Looking for our next visit in Jerusalem hoping for availability in this wonderful palace... Baruch.
