The Villa Brown Jerusalem, the newest addition to the Brown Hotels group, is a 24-room boutique hotel that redefines contemporary hospitality in the holy city. Just a five minute walk to Jerusalem's old city sites and situated in the heart of the bustling city center. Known as the 'Grande Dame' of the Brown Hotels collection, the Villa Brown Jerusalem is housed within a one-time private villa from the 19th-century. The hotel's distinct aesthetic is a multilayered interpretation of East-Meets-West, merging Neoclassical British Mandate, Ottoman and Eclectic-design-styles with contemporary interior influences, exemplified through velvety pigments of red, emerald and mauve that adorn the public and private spaces throughout the property.

This hotel is a hidden gem, its small, cozy, classy and amazingly decorated. Staff were super helpful and friendly. We stayed in a room on the third floor by the spa area. The room was small, only has a small window, which provided super quiet ambiance. Bathroom size was OK, it came with all toiletries and bathrobe. We used the SPA waiting chairs and sofa to work in our laptops. There is a Nespresso machine on the area and the outdoor terrace with reclining chairs and jacuzzi are in this floor.
Breakfast menu is plenty and espectacular it is a feast of flavors and colors. Try all the dishes they offer, they are super special. Its the only meal they offer and no room service. They do prepare lunch boxes in case you have an early departure to a tour. The lobby area combines the entrance to the hotel and the dinning areas, decor is a combination of eclectic type but super cozy. Reception area is small but functional. They also have an outside terrace at the entrance which was not operating as it was cold. It is very close to Jaffa Street and the old city, a short walk to many restaurants and tourists areas. We combined our stay in this hotel with a weekend tour to Petra, they kept our luggage stored while we took smaller bags to our trip. Upon our return to Jerusalem we recovered our luggage and continued our stay at the Brown. The manager chatted with us, he followed up and ask about our stay. We highly recommend this hotel

Villa Brown is an amazing boutique hotel where the details are thought through and cared about.
The architecture and features are amazing, retaining much of its previous live as a private residence.
Every staff member is friendly, outgoing and very helpful. You can tell their priority is the enjoyment of your stay.
Rooms are stylish and would recommend one with a balcony if available to get some outdoor space to relax.
Breakfast is incredible, multi courses with the addition of mezze plates that will leave you full for hours of sightseeing. It’s only 15 min walk to Jaffa Gate and 5 mins from the light rail system.
I would highly recommend Villa Brown to anyone visiting Jerusalem and would definitely stay here again given the chance.

The good:
· The location of the hotel is excellent, within walking distance of the old city, and many other charming sites for sightseeing such as the Mahane Yehuda market, the Russian courtyard, bars and restaurants, and more.
The hotel is inside a beautiful old stone building and has a special character (unfortunately, the rooms are quite small, accordingly).
The staff are nice and helpful, and the lobby serves free hot drinks (coffee and tea) around the clock.
The bad:
· Due to the corona, the dining room is closed and the meal was served in a picnic box for eating in the room. No plates, cups were provided with it, only disposable cutlery. There is also no table in the room that will allow proper eating, which is a shame.
Parking is a daily fee of about $ 20, and about 700 feet from the hotel. Given this location it is probably reasonable.

The hotel is a quirky combination of contrasting elements.
The room is nicely designed and decorated, but it doesn't offer the basic features existing in even the simplest hotels, such as a kettle to prepare a cup of tea in the room, nor, even stranger, the smallest closet. Nowhere to hang one's clothes. On the other hand, it does have a fake fireplace, which is, in such a very small room, a total waste of space.
Room TV had CNN on the menu, but it was not available even when we asked for it, nor was Sky News nor any of the main news networks; in what labels itself a "boutique" hotel, this is quite unacceptable.
Breakfast was exquisite, rich, inventive and sophisticated; and no request for extras was refused. Carefully made special dishes such as haloumi with tehina, eggplant slices, roe with chopped onion, etc., all made with special attention to detail. Excellent.
Cleanliness was excellent and so was everyday cleaning of the room. The rooftop jacuzzi, on the other hand, was a joke. It is only good for two people, so in case somebody got it, that was it, until they decided to leave; and then one had to empty the tub and refill it, if you didn't want to bathe in the waters of others. In short, unusable.
Location is very central and very convenient for getting to the market or the pedestrian mall on foot. Parking, on the other hand, as other reviewers have noticed, is non-existent, forcing guests to choose between expensive and far away on foot and expensive and unsafe.
Staff were always friendly and helpful.
Pity, because a few small changes could make this a genuine five-star establishment.

very poor value for money for a boutique hotel. The hotel is located in a busy neighbourhood. Buses start early and noisy. To avoid it windows must be shut and curtains drawn to block view from the street. The room is considered "suite" but is fairly small, poorly furnished, no closets and no option to hang long dresses or suits. It is a choice of "style" over convenience. Beside the lack of closets the bathroom has a small unstable sink positioned on a small and low antique style dresser. Beautiful yet very unpractical. The aircondition was noisy even when we reduced to a minimum fan mode. Overall the room was small and inconvenient.
On the way down the view to the messy service room added to the sense of overall maintenance issues, as well as the small courtyard that offered quite a gloomy view of spare furniture. The feeling is of a dacor that is covering an unorganized infrastracture.
Beside the poorly furnished small dark room (suite:( we encountered a quite unhappy chef during breakfast. The breakfast is nice in appearence, including a veriaty of small dishes ( you must love tahini as it covers many of the:( and good selection of main cources. The small table is not suitable for the many plates , yet another "look as oppose to convenient" approach.
The menu did inckude any fresh vegtables or salad, so we asked for simply cut tomato and cucumber. Our very nice waitress Maya tried her best but chef was adamant and refused to serve the simply cut vegtabeles. The milk for the tea and coffee arrived in glasses so we had to ask for a soucer in order to avoid splilage. Salt and pepper where not offered on the table (another guest came over to ask for salt so I guess it wasn't offered on their table either). Is the underlying idea is that the chef's dishes are perfect?
*I do want to mention that we complained and when the manager recieved our complaint ( a day later) he made a real effort: Sent wine to the room, personaly made sure we had fresh vegtables and soy milk at breakfast and came to our table to check on us. He was kind and professional and tried his best*.
Parking is costley near the hotel.
Checking prices now around the city, and based on our previous visits in Jerusalem, For the price we paid plus parking we could certainly pick any of the beautiful hotels in the area with wonderful rooms ,great breakfast and quiet rooms.
We will certainly not return here.

From the friendly welcome to the HUGE breakfast (not a buffet, freshly cooked and delicious) in an airy enclosed terrace, this is a lovely boutique hotel. A 10 minute easy walk to the Old City. The rooms are not the biggest you will stay in, but free chocolates / water and great toiletries certainly make up for this. Good sized bed. Our room also had a private balcony and there is a spa (which we did not use)

Friendly staff, beautiful rooms, great food and fabulous location! The breakfast is amazing....don't worry if you don't eat eggs the meze more than fills, and is delicious. The tram is a 2 min walk away, and Old Jerusalem a 7 min stroll, glass of Cava on arrival was rather lovely.

Decided to visit Jerusalem after a while we haven't been there and spend some time in the market, the old city and the night vibe. We found this hotel via friends and also enjoyed a special rate for that specific day. The property is well located, looks beautiful and the people who greeted us (Ofer I believe) and Salum, were extra welcoming, friendly and nice. Room is quite large while the deco is nice. Breakfast also had a twist to it which was nice. The cons, the coffee place on the 3rd floor was tiny, no milk to prepare anything but coffee and the tea was only one kind. The largest issue is parking which this hotel lacks so we found a parking place right close by but unfortunately it is quite a fortune (100 NIS per day). I would recommend this hotel, just try and find a good deal :-)

Villa brown is located just a few minutes walk from damaskus gate, one of the entrances to the old town of Jerusalem. Our room had a lovely, large balcony and also came with a nespresso coffee maker. An additional coffee machine was available on the 3rd floor rooftop terrace. Our bathroom had a large shower and high quality toiletries were provided.
Breakfast is served in the basement and was absolutely amazing - small dishes, mezze-style, and a "main dish" of choice. Portions were so generous and the taste so amazing that we skipped lunch on most days as we were still full from breakfast.
The hotel interior was a bit too dark for our personal taste, and some walls had scratches, but we did not mind this at all.

Customer service was superb. Although I arrived in the early hours of the morning I was expected and greeted by a friendly man. He quickly checked me in and showed me to my room.
I had to isolate in my room for 24 hours but the man on reception was a great help in suggesting how to get food sent in and making sure I was comfortable.
