This hostel is located in the very center of the old town, in the Armenian quarter, surrounded by small shops and restaurants. Because the whole old town is OLD, the interior of this hostel is absolutely amazing and breathtaking (from a historical point of view). There is a tarrace on the roof, which is a great spot for taking pictures... More

I was in Jerusalem for a total of four months between December and June and spent about three weeks of that time, mostly in May, at the Citadel (the hostel reserves the right to enforce a 14 day stay limit but I was told that generally if the guest is not causing any problems they are welcome to stay longer).... It's ok but I think expensive and not that nice because there is no AC at all. The dorms look nicer than the private rooms. I guess it would have been nice on the roof as well - and cheaper. Anyway the architecture is interesting. Make sure to check out in time.

I have stayed here twice and always stayed on the roof. For a few euro's you have a good night's rest under the stars whilst you can see all the highlights of the old city. There are powersockets up there, mattresses and, if needed, you can put up your tent right there. The location is just great! Nearby Jaffa gate,... More

This was an interesting hostel in terms of decoration and architecture. Dorms were cozy but a bit crowded, bathrooms on the ground floor were not as clean but there were several on first floor that were cleaner but no hot water. The terrace view was spectacular and the surroundings were peaceful. There was option to sleep in tents on the... More

We slept 1 night on the roof top, what an amazing experience! The hostel is very well located in the heart of the old town, close to Jaffa Gate so it was great. Would recommend it although due to the fact that people sleep on the roof top you can't stay long during the night having a party there ;)... More

I stayed on the rooftop for one night and it was really amazing! Nice receptionist, helpful with directions, facilities were fine and the best part was the view! It was comfortable and you were provided with enough blankets. Cheapest option was staying on the roof but it was just so beautiful watching the sunrise in Jerusalem in a comfortable position!... Authentic camping experience on the roof overlooking old Jerusalem. Staff provided us with blankets due to cold weather. What a privelege. Friendly hostel staff. Very quaint accommodation. Cosy and beautifully decorated interiors. Kitchen very cramped for preparing meals. Lack of ventilation in bathrooms results in slight odours on floors.

For 50 NIS you can sleep under the stars on the roof. What an experience. Waking up to Jerusalem glowing in a sunrise. General smell of the place was a bit funky and didn't feel 100% clean. But for cheap accommodation in the Old City it was brilliant. Permanent staff are helpful, friendly and competent. There volunteers who clean etc.... More

This hostel has a great atmosphere and is very beautiful! I volunteered here for 2 weeks and felt at home. The beds are very comfortable, they recently added a 'give and get' table for people who want to leave stuff behind or need some stuff. Laundry facilities are available. They have surveillance cameras so your luggage is safe in the... More
