Basic hotel, nothing to write home about. Location is very central; convenient for guests arriving by train. Efficient service. Room cleanliness could be improved slightly, and my single-bed guestroom could have been a bit bigger. Stayed in early October 2016, single room, no breakfast.

Some rooms are quite small but it was okay! Very clean and not so loud. Very calm staff but if you have any questions they help you. I think they should use their rooftop also because you have a great view to the sea.

Please don't get near Maris Hotel!!! I have been there with my family last week. The room was dirty, the internet didn't work, they claim we didn't pay for breakfast although we had a signed confirmation fot bed and breakfast. When I tried to complain the owner threaten me he will accuse me in harassment!!!

You just have to look round you in downtown Haifa near the port, and see not a very glamorous picture. This is the area of a city where crime and prostitution may abound. But for more than a decade , a lot of money has been pumped into the harbour area of Haifa, one of the two ports of Israel....

In principle HM would be OK, but certain things are very disturbing. They charge you immediately at arrival (which is not typicall for good hotels). Further, I made a booking for three nights, but I had to leave after the second night - no willingnes for any refund despite my advance announcement (request). My room was very depressive (dark, the...

It's the second time that I'd stayed at this hotel. it has been all refurbished, it's clean, each room has a kitchenette, there is close by a parking lot (free at night), it's close to the port (important for my work), but also to the main streets Derech HaAtzmaut and Ben Gurion Blvd. The price I've found on the web...

Located by the harbour, steps from the train station, it's well located. Don't worry, you'll barely hear the trains at all. Rooms are clean, the single is a good size for a lone traveller. Nothing fancy but if you need a bed for the night on a budget it does the trick.

We chose the Maris because of the price and because it came with a kitchenette. Overall we had a good stay and would recommend this hotel. It was a 15 minute walk to the German Colony, and to main streets / shopping in Haifa. The only down side was the layout of the room: the room is made to feel...

Completely agree with previous comments. The location seems somehow disappointing, in the middle of port area with simple entrance in a backstreet. Inside it is modern and new. We got a big room with a little kitchen, well equiped barhroom and confortable bet. AC in the whole room. Very friendly staff. The only drawback is that they don't offer breakfast....
