The gardens are absolutely stunning. We saw them from the bottom and again from the top. Easy to access by local bus. There are English tours almost everyday at noon. We forewent the tour and headed to the Baha'i shrine instead (open from 9 am -12 pm). Definitely don't miss this if you're in Haifa.

I am not particularly picky when it comes to hotels. I am compelled to write this review because this hotel was disgusting. I arrived and turned down the blanked to find: a) hairs on the pillowcase and sheets, b) sheets containing multiple (at least 10) small reddish/brown dots, which came from either blood, burns or from the age of the...

Dan Gardens used to be one of the most beautiful boutique hotels in Haifa. It is placed in a most beautiful place - overseeing the Haifa Bay - one of the beautiful sights in Israel, especially after sunset. The Hotel is close to the commercial center of the Carmel district with a lot of coffee shops, gardens and malls. Unfortunately,...

The Dan Gardens is a neglected hotel. It is in a state of disrepair. The carpets are filthy, housekeeping cannot clean a room to save their life. What is it you say, it is cheap. The breakfast is passable, but the staff is surly. Not recommended.

We came for the Haifa movie festival. We got a room on the fourth floor. As we came out of the elevator we were shocked by the amout of dirt on the carpet. In the room it was not much better. Dirty. Simple furniture with scraps and maybe partially burnt, or I do not kbow what this big gray spot...

The hotel is certainly not a 4 star hotel! The public areas are very dirty and i just got a shock upon entering the room allocated to us! The ceiling is dirty, dust all over, fire alarm clogged with dirt, curtains dirty, telephone is a breeding ground for germs. The bath has very nice tiles but they are splashed with...

The hotel is set atop mt. Carmel overlooking Haifa and the harbor, spectacular view that we enjoyed through our torn and dirty curtains. The front desk staff was the best part of the hotel, warm, friendly, helpful and caring. The carpeting in the hallways was filthy beyond being able to be cleaned, looked as though they were using it as...

I did not quite enjoy my stay at Dan Gardens. Staff is friendly but that does not cover for the poor state of the hotel. It's looked like the hotel rooms had been neglected. Some of the bathrooms had moulds which was very disturbing. My room balcony was filthy. The price for the room was definitely to high given the...

The hotel has a wonderful 180 degree view of Haifa city and harbour (if you have a front room). The hotel features are basic and a bit old fashioned. They unfortunately only serve breakfast, but the breakfast is fresh and of a good standard. The bed was very comfortable and clean!! Excellent location: close to bus stops, access to taxis,...

We learned the hard way that all Dan Hotels are not of the same quality. While our experience at the Dan Panorama Jersusalem was excellent, our experience at the Dan Gardens Haifa was a huge let down. First, be prepared for the hike up many steps from the street with your luggage to the hotel. Once there, you can enjoy...

“The rooms without View are cheaper, but they offer a view of the wall. It is good enough if all you intend to do is sleep in the hotel as these rooms are quitere than the ones that face the bay.”
