We were there for one night, just needed somewhere to sleep between 2 scuba diving days. Price was reasonable, they followed the various COvid-19 procedures at check-in, which is good but doesn't explain why it took 37 minutes to check in. Lobby & elevators looked and smelled clean, so did the room. The room was spacious and easily accommodated 3 adults one teenager and one 5 year old. Luckily I brought 2 cans of spray Dettol with me : The door handles were sticky and had ingrained dirt on them, the phone was filthy. There was mold in the bathroom and the vents were cruddy. The toilet seat was a cheapo wobbly thing and wasn't clean, the toilet roll holder had seen better days. Half of the electrical outlets were faulty and loose, guys that's a safety hazard, fix it. In short, I thought that the events of the past year would have had a positive impact on the way hotels are cleaned and maintained, I guess I was wrong. A simple spray of Chlorox (available in Israel) would have made all the difference, is it really that hard to do ?

I have never seen such chaos in my life. I have been traveling for 45 years. I first came to relax in 1984 never have I experienced anything like this!! People pushing in, reception staff who gave absolutely no eye contact, showed no empathy, were incapable of apologizing. When we spoke up for ourselves after the fifth person had pushed in front of us we were scurried into some back office so as not to make scene, apparently it was the hotel reception manager who checked us in, a South African gentleman, we didn't get his name, he reflected exactly the poor service of his reception staff. Had we not prepaid we would have one hundred percent walked out.
We asked for a quiet room and I'm currently listening to a screeching violin at the swimming pool that has been playing for approximately two hours now... which happens to be outside our room. The 2 stars given are for the fact that the room is decent. Good size and pretty clean.

We had a short stay at Club Hotel Eilat. Very convenient location, in the very center, very close to the sea. We were there in winter, the beaches are all being repaired, so we had to walk further to the sea, but I think when they finish cleaning the beaches, it will be very nice and comfortable to relax by the sea.
The hotel has many pools, a very large area. We only had a room, it did not include any attractions: neither sauna nor evening programs. The jacuzzi was always full of children, so we didn't get to use it.
The rooms are already outdated, old design, many things are worn out. Cleans very poorly, really neat, but dirty. The service is good. We got a room with a view of the night club and the containers. The windows of the room are very leaky, so I was woken up early in the morning by a very loud noise when they came to handle the containers. And on weekends until 6 o'clock in the morning there was loud music from the night club, people's screams. But when we asked to change the room, we immediately got another room.
The hair dryer is very poor, it can be said that it is no longer working, it is very old.

To make a long story short. There is one month since we left the hotel and they haven’t refund us, as they have promised, for the breakfast vouchers that we returned. Due the Israeli Government decision to close the country for 14 days since 12 of March, we were obliged to cancel one night reservation and the breakfast vouchers, which by the way we have paid separately more than 40 euro/day for 2 persons. Until now we have not received any money and no reaction to the many emails that I sent them. I will never go there again unfortunately even the location, pools, yard, are marvelous, and even the rooms are acceptable.

When we initially read the reviews on Booking.com, we had our reservations about whether to visit this hotel or not. It seems that low expectations can indeed prevent disappointment. Many previous guests mentioned issues with the check-in process, which often involved long waits at the reception. Fortunately, we experienced no such problems. The hotel had opened multiple desks in the lobby, which made the queue move swiftly. The check-out process required some waiting to hand in our keys, but it was not unreasonably long.

The rooms, reminiscent of 1990s decor, somehow reminded me of the hotels at Disneyland in Orlando and Paris, which feature a similar style and period of renovation. This didn't give a negative impression but rather felt like traveling back in time on a vintage ship ⚓️ —a charming experience!🛳️😍

Pros:💡✅
* The hotel boasts a large area with various spots for games and relaxation. The heart of the hotel is the grottoes with pools and a rooftop lounge area.
* Live piano music in the lobby was exceptional; I found myself going down just to listen to the pianist.
* Evening live music by the pool area featured a violinist, guitarist, and vocalist.
* The breakfast selection was excellent and included kosher options, which were also available during Shabbat.
* Every evening was filled with entertainment, including clowns, dancers, theater performances.
* Fun activities like a foam party, trampolines, and other children's entertainment.
* An arcade zone.
* Convenient parking.

Cons:❗️
* The water in all pools was very cold. It might have been due to our October visit, or perhaps they don't heat the pools year-round. The children got cold very quickly.
* Children were not allowed in the jacuzzis, with hotel rules prohibiting those under 16 or 18 from sitting in them. Oddly, this was the only warm place to relax, which led to some negativity towards the lifeguards who were quite stern in enforcing this rule.

Overall, while there were some downsides, the hotel's unique charm and numerous activities provided a pleasant stay.

Not a hit at all.
We waited 4 hours for the room and it turns out that we still got it quickly, we paid for a room for five, we actually got 4 beds, every day we had to ask for more towels because they only bring 4 and we are five...
They claim that the pools are open until 7:00 p.m. In fact, at 6:00 p.m. they start folding chairs even for those who are still sitting on them, and at 6:30 p.m. they announce that the pool is closing and the children need to be taken out, and all in a disparaging manner, the counter's answer is "that's what it is."
Breakfast for NIS 160 and nothing for vegans only cheese and eggs.
On the last day, they closed the children's pool because it had to be prepared for workers' committees...
To get to the parking lot you have to go through the hotel's garbage compactor together with all the employees who smoke, not an experience to do it with children.
Internet is weak to the point of unusability, but that's the least of the problems.

The room cleaning always came late around 4,5 in the afternoon. And it sucks that the room is dirty all day.
The shower head came out of place and just fell apart in my hands.
At the entrance to the shower through the parents room there is a high step that my 3 year old son just tripped and fell because of it.

The only hotel that was open during the Covid 19 last closedown days. Had to travel to Eilat and had other choice of accommodation. The price was high although no service was provided because of the health issues. The bathroom's grout was moldy the overall look old. The place needs serious refreshing. I wouldn't be as upset if the price was right for this kind of accommodation. We payed 200 Us$. Overpriced room and hotel that is taking advantage of a no choice situation.

Great family hotel. Rooms are clean and and give what you need for a family room. Breakfast is excellent. Some quirks. Not all the pools open and limited swimming. Kids pool is supposed to be open till 5 but this is the second day that we are here that they close at 4:40. Along with asking us to move off our lounge chairs today at 4:15 asked us to move as they wanted to close up. Really disappointed as we just want to relax and not be bossed around. Surely you work around your guests.. We have one more day. Let's see what transpires tomorrow

My only complaint about Club Hotel Eilat is that there is no free breakfast like most hotels do -- but other than that, I really love this place and have stayed here probably at least ten times. Nice rooms, nice staff, and the location can't be beat as far as walkability or at most a very short drive to the main tourist area and great shopping. Thumbs up!

What foods are served for breakfast? Is breakfast self-serve?
Answer from Gershon B
Jerusalem, Israel18 contributions2 helpful votes
Like in most Israeli hotels, the breakfast is buffet style, with a vast variety of salads, cereals, cakes, drinks, breads and rolls, basically anything one can think of. There are cooks standing by to make omelets to order. In short, you will definitely not go away hungry from such a breakfast. The hotel is kosher, so no meat served at breakfast.
