Detailed Reviews
The hotel staff were welcoming at the reception but were pretty rude throughout the stay, continually asking if I were a guest in the hotel and treating me like an imposter.
The breakfast was delicious!
The room is comfortable and the best is great. However, there was a refrigerator that made that most irritating noise, making it difficult to sleep. Also, the room is really only appropriate for 2 people since the loft is very difficult to reach and in poor condition.
The Jacuzzi is NOT a jacuzzi and is barely the temperature of a heated pool. The pool is freezing.
Very cozy cabins with beautiful scenery!

Within the Orchid complex exists a gem called royal Shangri La. The manager of the Hotel, Avi Cohen, works really hard to make sure to bring luxury and service in his hotel without having the 'snob' attitude of the 'big hotels'. We have stayed in various hotels in Eilat (Royal beach, Dan, Herods,...). We never got the type of service and attention we received here
As an example, the lounge is on top of the mountain with an Infinity pool and beautiful view to the sea. The attendant there (Patrick) is working hard to make sure everything is neat and food are well presented all day long
The persons at the reception (Dany, Nathalie and Natalie) are very welcome and try their best to assist any request with patience and smile.
We had some small issues in the room. Someone came to fix them immediately
The persons who ride the tuk tuk which are used to bring you to your room are polite and courteous, notably Ilan
We happened to know friends of the owners of the hotel (the Nakachim, as they called them). I will make sure they know what a fantastic General Manager they have in their hotel.
Thank you for everything. We will definitely come back

Pros: Beautiful views, great customer service, all the amenities you could want, great food and drink, beautiful pools, smells really good (it makes a big difference), genuinely fun time
Cons: Could barely force myself to leave for planned activities outside the hotel
I’ve been to Eilat many times, alone, with family, with friends. I’ve stayed in hostels, villas, hotels, motels, resorts, but none have been as fantastic as the Orchid Hotel. Right as we arrived, the customer service was fast, polite, and efficient. My friend and I both felt taken care of (in both english and hebrew I should add). Our room was prepared on time and as clean as you’d want. We were even upgraded to the new Royal Shangrila section. We were transported by staff on a tuktuk, which was a fun experience in and of itself that really adds to the whole atmosphere of the hotel. The villa was honestly stunning. The views, amenities (hot tub, huge bed, furniture, large patio, large bathroom, etc.) were up to par with the best hotels I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. Basically anything we could want was either there in the room or available to us with a quick dial to reception. Additionally, the lounge area provided me with the most relaxation I’ve had in months. More than any tangible thing, the effort put into creating an atmosphere of relaxation, care, and elegance is evident, and I will definitely be staying at the Orchid Hotel on my next excursion to Eilat.

I stayed at the Orchid many years ago and loved it but it was so disappointing. We arrived to a stained sheet and a feeling that little attention was paid to the room in terms of COVID-19 precautions. Took until the 2nd night to replace sheets and clean despite repeated requests to reception and when nothing was done to speak to a manager. It was finally handled to our satisfaction after I wrote an email to the hotel management who sent fruit and wine to our room for our anniversary (originally promised to us on the first night). Room amenities are random, one day all shampoo, next day you might get body gel and conditioner only. No hand towel or bathroom mat until I asked. Poor upkeep of the property and little attention paid to details (those coffee cups on top of the towel closet were there our whole stay, opposite our door). Curtains don't block out light... The sun woke me every morning at 6.30. And no insistence that guests wear masks in public spaces. On the upside, good breakfast. Had the original issue of the cleanliness been handled on the first night, chances are I would be less critical. But non-responsive staff results in unhappy guests. I won't be back.

This awful experience started with our arrival. We arrived on a Wednesday after noon and stayed until Saturday morning.
There where no WiFi at the hotel and the receptionist said that it will be fixed only on Sunday..
We received our keys to our “first room”.
The water that came out of the shower
where dark brown..I called the reception, they asked me to wait 10 minutes..”let the water run”..as the time expired , an half an hour later, they switched our room..
that evening we want to dinner. The food was ok.. but during that time we saw two cats having a”good time” just over the salats bar.. when we called someone. he said that they are living in the hotel for a long time now and there is nothing to do about it.
Breakfasts where very poor.
On Friday morning the piping of our “second room” started to hammer in our head.. we called the reception. We received an explanations that there was a water shot off .. and the noise will stop soon.
At around 16:00 we received our third room.the room was very far from everything.phone signal got worse.still no WiFi.
Several minutes after we got the room, the refrigerator started to make a loud noise.. we called the reception again and after half an hour we got a fixed refrigerator.
To sum up the story, poor rooms with a large amount of dust with many malfunctions. Poor food and so many cats..
We did receive a bottle of red wine that costs around 50 NIS = 14€.

We spent 5 nights at the hotel. Unfortunately, the room we were given was right next to a
room undergoing construction work. There was constant drilling noise during the day that did not allow us to rest and we kept waking up from it. Every time we asked the reception desk for the work to stop, they were very polite and said they would take care of it. It usually stopped for a short while, and then resumed again an hour later. This is representative of many things at the hotel: on the outside, things look nice, but in the small details that you don't see in the pictures, there are many things that are done unprofessionally. There is loud unpleasant music playing at the pool for much of the day. They spray some weird scented spray all over the hotel (lobby, reception, rooms) supposedly so it will smell nice, but it actually smells very bad. It smells a bit like a cheap bathroom air freshener all over the hotel. At breakfast, they have a coffee machine and barista that makes fresh coffee, only none of their staff could make even a mediocre cappuccino or americano, and many of the guests seemed very frustrated and were trying to explain to them again and again how to make the coffee. The whole area outside our room was often dirty, with plastic bags, napkins, leaves, and occasionally cigarette buds.
To be fair, there were also many good things. Most of the hotel area was fairly clean, the hotel design is very beautiful and pleasant, the staff are all very nice, and the location is quite ideal. There was a very big variety of food at breakfast, and the food was generally tasty. The overall value for money is in this hotel is reasonable, so long as you don't get a room where they are doing construction.
In general, I would recommend avoiding all the rooms on the lower levels, next to the reception and lobby. They don't have as much privacy, they are very close to the hotel maintenance area, and our room specifically didn't feel much like a vacation due to its location surrounded by maintenance areas, and trucks unloading stuff. And that is even without considering the noise from the construction work which made it really not worth the money we paid.

No value for money - we arrived half an hour later than check-in, but it still took 3 hours to get a room (after a 4 hour drive with 2 small children). The entire time we were there (one week) it felt that the hotel was under staffed, with long wait times for everything, unclean spaces, and an unkept dining room. For the money they charged, we were expecting a totally different experience.

The Orchid hotel is the best hotel in Eilat. From the checkin and all the way through. We were greeted by the nicest, most professional manager named Avi,as well as a sweet beautiful agent named Natalie, and offered an amazing room for our family. The facilities are absolutely beautiful, the service was perfect, the entire staff is so kind and professional. Anything we needed, was provided right away. Our room was clean and beautiful. Breakfast was so delicious, with a variety of foods, especially during Passover
We are waiting for our next visit already, and of course will book at the Orchid.
We go to Eilat often, and this vacation at the Orchid was our best one yet!
We recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a beautiful hotel, perfect service, and an all around amazing experience. Thank you to Avi, and the entire staff! We will be back ASAP. .
Kindly, ARIZONA

An expensive and disappointing experience
First of all, the room we got had no hot water. After waiting an hour for a technician who didn't come, they let us shower in another room, just walked in and immediately encountered dead cockroaches on the floor... At this point it's 1 am and we're begging in the lobby to let us shower and sleep. To their dismay, they put us in a new room. The new room is full of dust and small insects, exposed electrical wires, peeling and old wooden furniture, repulsive scale on all the sinks and faucets, basically repulsive.
Regarding the tuktuks, it is recommended to leave an hour to wait for one because for some reason there are 2-3 tuktuks for a full hotel. If I dared to ask why the delay, I received a refreshing shout from the security guard at the entrance. In general, the attitude of the staff is very impatient and blatant as if they did me a favor that I paid NIS 2000 for a poor weekend with a tired, not fresh, not varied, and not tasty breakfast at all. It seemed that the pastries were bought frozen at the supermarket and the vegetables were cut a few days ago. On weekends there is no working coffee machine in the dining room even for the non-religious public, who paid the best of their money and cannot enjoy poor coffee. Also, there is no room cleaning on the weekend and they don't notify you in advance, so prepare now to return from a vacation to a smelly room without new towels. The hotel is not suitable for the secular public in any way

In one word - shame!!!
Was on the 24 the of may till 29th with wife and 2 kids.
Done check in and entering the room found that the ladder is not there .
Call desk and been told that all ladders have been taken due to accident were a kid fell off the ladder .
Ask where the kids will sleep..
Been told they will sleep on the floor with mattresses…
Spoke with the manager in place and he told us that he will credit the children’s part in room charge .
On the check out found out that he credit 800₪ for the kids from stay of 5100₪ ,
We argued again with the manager and after 2 hours at check out he raise it to 1400₪ refund for the kids..
Additionally the room hasn’t been cleaned almost all the time of stay…
The lobby, pool and breakfast were nice,
Also the golf cars were nice,
In total I would not return to this hotel again.

The is not heated but there is a jacuzzi next to it
The hotel is 7 KM from the airport and bus station. No shnorkels but can rent them at the beach not far away
A few minutes walk to beach and ten minutecar ride from airport
I think you ment to send this to the hotel and not to me..
Go Towards the Egyptian border and on your wright side across the street from the underwater observatory marine park you will find the hotel. Scuba diving it is highly recommended and bathing in the Red Sea , or you can take one of the bicycles which the hotels provides and have a ride along the shore from the Egyptian border till you reach Eilat. Also I recommend to take the path from the back of the hotel marked with a lilac orchid going up on the mountain, the view you will find up there worth the hike . Be careful though because you might encounter snakes not poisonous but still is better to look where you are stepping , snakes are never attacking, they either run for cover or they react if they are injured. Solomon stones it is also a fantastic place to see in the desert, or you can book a trip to Petra , Jordan, In the hotel lobby you can find all the information you need and book the trip as well. The surrounding area it is so beautiful and I could write pages about the desert, but you have to discover its magic for yourself. Have fun and Merry Christmas !!!
