I had high hopes for Eilat, I honestly did. My girlfriend and I arrived at 3pm in Eilat planning to stay for a whole week before we went back to London. By 9pm we had booked a hotel in Tel Aviv to go back to the following day. We booked an apartment through Air Bnb, which is nice and as advertised. However, the complex itself is run down, dirty and full of young, noisy and disrespectful students – not the makings of a relaxing holiday. The atmosphere is horrible. Everyone looks like they want to mug you or start a fight.

The apartment is quite a walk away from the beach, and as the apartment is at the top of a hill, it is unbearable to walk up during the day. We did have a lovely view of the sea and Jordan, but it also overlooks a gross, empty swimming pool and the lawn is yellow and dead.

Basically, don't come here unless you at 16 and fancy a holiday a bit like The Inbetweeners Movie (but more expensive).

We got here by mistake, and at it was too late to cancel. The place is far from the center. It is in very bad conditions. Old facilities. Full with noisy teenagers, that made noise all night. Not for families! The only good thing with this place is the price.

4 Thank ePreter
