Detailed Reviews
We spent 4 nights/5 days at the Leonardo Privilege and it was by far the best customer service we've had at any hotel in the country. The staff were exceedingly welcoming, the manger was on top of everything, the dining room staff were very attentive. We needed extra pillows and within minutes from asking they appeared. There was a small issue with the toilet in the room and they fixed it promptly with no need to remind them. The hotel was very strict about coronavirus regulations and maintained a very high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

Really good experience. We came to a weekend and since the beginning everything was perfect. The check in was fast good and informative. The room was spacious and very clean. The food... i have to say that i want to meet the chef and shake his hand. To my opinion you have to be really good to preform such a food level especially in a all inclusive hotel.
It seems that EVERYBODY want you to have a pleasant time (Bravo to the menegment and the guest relationship manager for it)
Definitely a place to come back
Highly recommend

We booked to take our grandchildren and their parents to this hotel for a short all inclusive break. After booking we received a communication in Hebrew which (as native English speakers) we finally worked out meant that the pool was out of service for our stay.
I wrote to the hotel in English asking if there was any arrangement for nearby pool access and if there was, would there be any refreshments at the alternative pool. Having asked no less than 5 times and been ignored, I asked the Leonardo Advantage Club (we are members and have visited this hotel twice previously) the same questions 3 times - and was ignored as before. I then escalated this matter to senior Leonardo staff via personal contacts only to be told that whilst an adjacent hotel pool was available no refreshments would be available to us at the neighbouring pool.
I would also add that the hotel exuded an air of tiredness and lack of maintenance. The dedicated children's area lacked the basic safety standards that exist in Europe. The communal areas, particularly the hallways in the accommodation blocks had dangerously cracked and uneven tiling. I personally saw one child trip headlong over an uneven floor. Had the child been mine I would be taking legal action against the hotel. I could add other maintenance issues with our rooms but I feel enough has been said.
As I said above, we visited the hotel twice in the past but to be ignored in this way so many times when asking a simple question leaves me with no option but to conclude that customer service and safety within the Fattal is purely a fiction. This is no way to provide customer service and this chain has lost both our custom and that of our extended family who were disappointed by what should have been a great family vacation.
I cannot in any way recommend this hotel and in view of our overall poor experience it is difficult to justify more than an overall score of 2/5 - and in that I feel I may be overgenerous.

Not the most fancy hotel in Eilat but more than adequate. We requested early checkin and got our room at 10.30am rather than the 3pm usual time (no extra charge).
The food is excellent, a full choice Israeli breakfast buffet with cereals, salads, pancakes, cheeses etc etc. Breakfast is available until 11am - perfect for late-risers like us!
Half-board includes evening dinner (lunch is not an option even on Shabbat).
We counted a choice of 8 meat dishes at the buffet dinner as well as choice of soups, loads of salads. fresh vegetables and cakes and creamy desserts. Waiters come round to the tables offering red or white wine - no charge.
Sraff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is built on 3 floors around the pool. I would
recommend a pool view room otherwise you face the car park.

We stayed at the Leonardo Privilege in Eilat for one night (Saturday-Sunday), we were party of 5 (2 adults + 3 kids). We got the room at 7:00 PM (although we were told that the room will be ready at 6:00 PM... The room was not clean. The floor was very dirty. Around the toilets we've had ants... This is an "all inclusive" hotel, so we went to have dinner at the hotel restaurant and after 5 minutes we left the place... It was very dirty, and had a very bad smell, with very long lines, the overall atmosphere was simply not good and not welcoming to stay. We preferred to leave and pay for dinner outside the hotel. In the morning, we requested the front desk to confirm staying in the room one more hour, we got approved for only 30 minutes, and still were surprised that someone from the hotel staff entered our room exactly at 11:00 AM (the original check out time). He was very rude. Overall, it was a very bad experience for us. I travel around 6-8 times every year, this was my worst experience until now. There's only one good thing about this hotel - and that is the kids club - it is a great! club for the kids and they've enjoyed it a lot! too bad it is the only good thing about this hotel...

Dear MR AMI Thank you for your review on web site. I am very UN happy to read such a terrible feedback but it's your point of view and who am I to disagree with feelings. Although I must say that you already score me inter feedback 34 points/100 points (record feedback). In every web site its clearly says that on Saturday check in time is after sun set (starting after 5PM) you arrived on 16:36 and checked in 18:59 as you wrote – room 1208. I don’t see anything wrong here, some families arrive earlier this Saturday 12th September for ROSH HASHANA, and got the room even later. I didn’t have any complaint about Saturday evening meal, I must say that 15 minutes after SHABBAT ends – we start the fire for BBQ – since last May 2015. I am really sorry that you had to go out for restaurant this evening unfortunately you are the only one who did it. I believe that I travel around the globe even more than you (you can see my trip adviser log) The only time I gave 2 stars "poor" – my bally was torn apart duo to the damage I Couse them with my feedback but it was after talking the hotel staff and managers with no help at all….. I wish you better experiences ahead during your travel here and abroad, the only tip I can give you : to speak , talk right away , never suffer during vacation . Best regards Haim Simelmits General Manager

This hotel was a real disappointment. It is dirty and noisy. Piped music is everywhere, loud and distracting. Children play soccer on the cracked tiles in the foyer. You are tagged as soon as you enter the foyer of the hotel. Not a very welcoming act. The coloured band is to signify your level of privilege. Not my scene at all.
No wifi, kettle or tissues in rooms. The walls are marked, the bathroom door splitting apart. One chair could barely fit on the tiny balcony.
The swimming pool is overcrowded. The outdoor area is just as dirty as indoors. Just don’t go there. It’s horrid.

I am completely stumped as to how this place gets such good ratings.
Dated, tired, rude staff, paper thin walls you can hear next door rooms conversations perfectly. Old bathroom with cracked tiles. Unusable wifi, and a lobby that strangely smelt of sick.

First of all, you should pay attention very carefully to the precise name of the hotel you're booking. There are at least two Golden Tulip hotels in Eilat, and the names are slightly different. I've stayed in G.T. Privilage with my husband, and here is our opinion:
The service: was OK, we didn't face any specific problems while staying there, so our interaction with the staff was occasional. Almost all the staff at the restaurant looked exausted and not too welcoming (I cann't blame them for that, it seems that they work there really hard due to the lack of stuff).
The food: we took half board, breakfast + supper. The food was very, very basic, with no real choice. I cann't say it was awful, it just had no taste. In the morning I could walk to the grocery store, and by the same food they serve for the breakfast for like 20 NIS/person (about 5$/person).
The room: again, it was ok, but nothing more. The bed sheets and the towles were pretty clean, but not perfectly clean. The carpet looked old, the room was very basic.
The pool: is small, I mean, VERY small, and the space around it is not well organized.
For those, who travel with kids - I haven't seen any facilities or activities for kids of any age. So this pool is probably the only option for the kids.
To summarize our experience: I've seen that some websites rate it as a 5*, some give it 4*. Well, it's not. I would give it 3.5*.
