sorry but the dinners are very poor. either potatoes not cooked or half raw fish or chicken. the cook does not try and no one checks the quality of the dishes. kebab in a sweet bun even though they are pita. there is no towel or toilet paper in the room. plus the gentlemen in the restaurant. they work fast. nice music for dinner.

ARARAT Hotel is a new hotel that was just opened this year.I was there in APRIL as a leader of a group of about 50 egyptian pilgrims.Because we were unable to define exactly the time of arrival,I worried about the procedures of check-in to be troublesome.
Actually we arrived at 4 am and were very tired and exhausted after a long bus journey ,but that decent young man HAITHAM was there in the reception waiting for us,he did every thing so smoothly and professionally ,and in less than 2 hours all the guests were accomodated in their rooms.Of course with such large groups some small problems are expected to arise ,but indeed the reception persnelle HAITHAM and SANDYand the whole administration staff were very helpful and friendly.
The hotel has an elegant lobby, clean well furnished rooms,a bar ,a tea hall and a wide restaurant, and free wi fi.
the food offered in the restaurant is fairly good, yet some improvement as regard quality and diversity will ad to the overall good impression.
Afterall our experience in ARARAT Hotel proved it was a good choice and I am sure I'll repeat it next year.

Relatively well maintained, although bathrooms are slightly old, shower cabin curtain not protecting from flooding bathroom during shower, tasteless food - you’d better go to the restaurant in front of the hotel, helpful and friendly staff, three stars would be more adequate rating in European standards, located in proximity of POI

I booked the Hotel with a well known webpage and received a confirmation.on check in I was told the Hotel is overbooked. I persisted on the confirmation and after 1 hour of work, the reception could manage to get me my room.
The room itself has a standard size but was far not standard to a 4 star Hotel. The shower was broken, water pressure is set to minimum and it takes a while until you cleaned your head from the shampoo. Shampoo and shower gel (lady smell like) is supaplied from a dispenser on the wall. The towels are cheapest quality and there are no hangers for them in the bathroom. The bed and Mattress is ok. The room has a fridge, but it is empty. A water cooker is there but no coffee or tea and no cup! Two bottle of water are supplied, but only on the first day. The walls are very thin and shaking when the door in other rooms are closing. A lot of noise from the corridor every time people walk outside. Windows also very thinn and you can hear also the noise from the street and the dogs around.
I personally, if I must stay again in this hotel (not if I have any other possibility) would never book the room including breakfast. Only the cheapest food is used, orange juice and jam are chemical. Cold milk is stretched with water and any kind of better coffee as well as prepared eggs cost extra and at very high price. The breakfast room is prepared for big tourist groups and is also used for weddings and dinner at evening. The advertised Gym is ok but not very big any on peak times crowded. The swimmimgpool is ok but even as hotel guest u$ 10.-- extra Charge. All in all to expensive for what you get. During my weekend tourist groups fron Nigeria, Poland and Romania been booked in there.

If you ask me and my experience - 2 Stars European level maximal.

We just returned from a pilgrimage to the Holy Land where our tour group was booked at the Ararat Bethlehem for 6 nights. We stayed at the hotel from 14.01.2020 – 21.01.2020.
Reception area is nice and the reception personnel polite and welcoming.
The bad points were:
In the restaurant, plates and glasses dirties. In the first day, the food was cold.We had not every day fruits (oranges) like dessert and lemon for tee. The quantity of the sweet food was not sufficient, their answer was: “ it’s finish!”
In some evening we have eat at the swimming pool , because in the restaurant it was a wedding party. The restaurant was used for weddings party. The hotel had problems with the electoronic door locks, so, every day, our whole group was unable to lock the doors to their rooms.
Only the cheapest food is used, orange juice and jam are chemical.Semolina with water, without sugar.
Serving bread in plastic bag seems like poor choice.
In the restaurant, each table has 20 places/20 chairs (like in a canteen) and between the tables it is not enough room there to can pass.

Many rooms were dirty.
In some rooms, the floor and the bathroom never, they had not been cleaned .
The soap liquid and toilet paper were missing in many rooms.
The shower was not good working.
In all the room, the hair dryer were not working.
Also, the mini refrigerator not good run in all the rooms.
In the room it was an water cooker but no coffee or tea and no cup!
The walls are very thin and we hear all the noises from the corridor every time when the people walk outside.
The lifts are not enough.

The hotel is a 1 star hotel max! We will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Very bad experience. I will not come more to this hotel .

To say this was a wonderful experience would be an utter understatement. The kindness of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, the efficiency with which they take care of everything is truly unparalleled. The staff was so helpful and never hesitated to answer any of our questions, connect us with the right people for tours and information, and continually checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We staying in one of their suites which was completely lovely and spacious. Had a little kitchenette with a sink, a giant sitting area and the bedroom was separate. Excellent water pressure, ample towels, fresh clean sheets, and they even try to add a touch of something special each night by decorating the towels for my husband and I. Overall, fantastic and we felt 100% safe there.

We stayed at the hotel from 24-26.12.2021, as a chrismas vacation for a big family.

Pros: 1. The lobby was stylish, and the reception personnel polite and welcoming.
2. Location close to the tourist sites.
3. Staff are ok, trying their best considering the circumstances.

Cons: 1.Problems with the electoronic door locks.
2. In the restaurant, plates are not clean. unsufficient quantities of paper cups, forks, plates, hot drink like milk and tae. so you have to take breakfast early or you will miss most of the basic food and tools!
the food was cold.

3. Bathroom: hair drier didn't work in my room (7th floor), the shower was terrible and risky, it flows from few holes with high pressure (cuz most the holes was closed). A sink clogs quickly after every hand wash.
4. The safe box’s batteries were dead so the box didn’t work.
5. There are only 2 elevators and you have to wait not neglected time till it available.
* No need to add more cons.

Bottom line: despite the hotel almost new but more or less all the standard equipment was broken and the maintenance neglected.not recomended to have breakfast!

We had such an amazing stay at the Ararat Hotel. We knew we wanted to stay in Bethlehem (birthplace of Jesus) but worried about transportation. The hotel arranged for a private shuttle straight from the Tel-Aviv airport directly to the hotel. What service!!! Amazing breakfast buffet and comfortable rooms. Great location as well for walking, dining, entertainment and steps away from a famous Banksy street mural. Highly recommended!

The room was very small and cramped, with outdated furnishings and limited amenities. The air conditioning was weak and barely kept the room heat. The bathroom was tiny and not very clean, with moldy grout and a leaky faucet. The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets were scratchy.

The staff was not very friendly or helpful.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
