I just had a fantastic two night stay at Hotel Nazar! This is such a beautiful property, in a prime location, with amazing Turkish hospitality. The breakfast at the hotel was magnificent and many of the foods come from the owner Ilker’s farm! Ilker was so incredibly helpful, and it was great just chatting him and getting to know what life is like in Selcuk. Ilker kindly organised a personal guide for me at Ephesus after my original tour plans fell through, and gave me detailed tips on how to maximize my time in Selcuk. I would highly recommend this hotel, I will certainly be back in future!

We loved the back patio area. It was perfect for a lazy afternoon of swimming or reading, and a quiet oasis at breakfast. Our congenial host, Ilker, went far out of his way to make our stay delightful, including driving us to a wonderful, homey and ridiculously inexpensive restaurant with a gorgeous view about 20 minutes away: Pervin Teyze, also reviewed on Tripadvisor. Much of the breakfast at Hotel Nazar (delicious and organic) comes from Ilker's own farm, or is made on the premises. Ask to be introduced to one of the many cats Ilker looks after.

A great place, on a quiet street but still only a few blocks from the center of town. Beautiful garden/patio/swimming pool. Ilker, the proprietor, is friendly, funny, knowledgable, takes great care of his guests, and went out of his way for us time and time again. It was a delightful stay. Thanks so much Ilker!

Strongly recommended. A warm and friendly atmosphere making you feel at home. We are a family of 4 persons : we got a double room clean comfortable and colourful. We enjoyed the fantastic breakfast in the garden besides the pool and relaxed in the swimming pool. The hotel is managed by the 2 owners who were very pleasant.

I stayed at the Nazar Hotel during my visit to Selçuk and Ephesus. This has been the best lodging experience during my visit to Turkey so far. When there were no cars available to pick me up from Kayseri, the owner Ilker came and picked me up himself. During the drive to the hotel, Ilker supplied me with loads of valuable information, not only for my stay in the Selçuk area but for my upcoming trip to Pamukkale and onwards to Fetiye. He made the use of the train (TCDD) and the Dolmus bus super straightforward. He was also just an all-around great guy to converse with - he was friendly with a good sense of humor. As for the hotel itself, it had everything I needed. The room was well-appointed and clean, had strong A/C, and everything ‘just worked’. I also like the fact that they are energy conscious with automatic switches that only light up areas when needed. The pool was also a welcoming amenity after a long hot day tour of Ephesus and Selçuk. I can’t go without mentioning the breakfast, which was included with the stay. The eggs, fruits and vegetables were fresh from Ilker’s nearby farm and they were remarkable. Also hard to beat having breakfast right in front of an olive tree (see pics). Thanks for being a great host and guide Ilker.

The Hotel Nazar was a great experience in a neighborhood setting in Selçuk. Our room was comfortable and the public spaces are really pleasant. The staff were very kind and breakfast was very good, with fresh coffee. The owner shared all his local knowledge, restaurants, and insights on local life, as well as his passion for rescuing local dogs and cats. Selçuk is a great little town and user/tourist friendly without being a “tourist town”, despite being so close to Ephesus.
