Great hotel in a spectacular location. The fortress views from the rooftop dining area a just fantastic. The super friendly owners also sell incredible handmade ceramics and rugs onsite, though we never got the slightest bit of pressure to buy. The food was also good in general, and they specifically had the best baklava from our entire trip to Turkey. Best of all, there are giant stork nests all over the neighborhood, including just feet away from the hotel. If you're lucky you can see them during their annual global migration!
First of all a big shout out to Erdal and all of the staff at Bella Hotel. They all speak excellent English and are welcoming and professional in all their dealings with guests. The hotel is charming with wonderful carpets and traditional furnishings. It is also ideally situated opposite the basilica so it should be easy to find. A lovely view of the nesting storks from the terrace where breakfast is served - very nice scrambled eggs - but you can also have eggs done in other ways. The rooms are cozy. I will certainly stay here again. We travelled in low season at a difficult time with coronavirus affecting tourism so we had a room with a small balcony for 250 TL. We also had a free lift to Ephesus and after sending a text message a lift back - so really worth considering. All in all a nice hotel - delightful staff.…
Beautifully decorated throughout , good sizes room and adequate shower area . Our room.and tiny balcony overlooked the castle and empty storms nests (sadly the wrong time of year) The roof terrace is utterly charming and the Full Turkish breakfast served there one of the best of our 2 week stay in western Turkey. The staff throughout were very helpful . The adjacent boutique and carpet shop was full of beautiful things . We did buy a carpet but did not feel under under.pressure or hard.sell at any time .
I booked the hotel based on the positive reviews, but we were not impressed with the room - it seemed dated and didn't look like what I saw on TripAdvisor. The location is great - right next to the St John church, and there is plenty of parking right next to the church ruins. We enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel, but the room left us a bit disappointed...
This is a No-frill hotel. Breakfast is good and view from the rooftop is great. But I did not see any dinner served. Price is reasonable: you get what you pay. Centrally located and a walking distance to St John monument and Ephesus Museum.
