In the city of Selcuk, the 3rd region where I've visited in Turkey, Urkmez Hotel is where I've stayed for a night. Situated within the main city centre, you can easily laze and stroll around and see the beautiful quiet historic city (the Selcuk Castle and the Ephesus Museum is just a stone-throw away!) And my stay even gets better...

Located in the historical centre of the city, at 5 minutes walking from St. John's Basilica, it is a little and pleasant hotel. The rooms are nice and very clean. Maybe the bathrooms should have a little upgrade, but nothing to warry about. From the breakfast terrace, the view is great, directly to the medieval citadelle. Delicious turkish style breakfast....

Great location and value for money. Rooms were clean and neat. The owners, Jimmy and Junaid, provided us with excellent service and were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was on the first floor so it was easy to get in and out. I loved the view during breakfast on the roof.

We were a family of three sharing a triple room at this establishment. It was close to the bus and train station as well as having a rooftop terrace (where breakfast is served) with a stunning view. The is a family run hotel - staff are most helpful and kind. The breakfast was a refreshing turkish affair.

Cute hotel, great location, family run. One of the sons came in the car with us to help us find parking as parking can be tricky in the area. He ended up getting his dad to move his car so we could park nice and close! :) There's no elevator but the whole family came to help us with our...

Four of us, two rooms for two nights while we explored the historical areas nearby. We had a bugger of a time finding a place to park and when only after we did get parked could we discover that the hotel is not actually accessible by car anyway. It is on a pedestrian way with the parking lot about a...

The room wasn't ready when I arrived so I was moved to a cheaper room with a street view rather than a room with the castle view i booked online. Not cool I thought but it turned out to be more advantageous for me because I paid 10 euros lesser and I didn't need the castle view after all because...

I agree with most of the other posts but there are some downsides to this Hotel. Location great, friendly helpful staff, suitable breakfast and room cleaned every day. Now the not so good. Booked in April, the room was not available so went to another cheaper room, they were going to shift me the next day, not worth it. Room...

Many people interpret a 5 star review to mean that the hotel is glamorous with lots of extras. Urkmez is not glamorous. But it is clean, friendly, fun and very affordable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. It's a short hop from town to Ephesus. You can walk if you...
