Another amazing holiday. This was our second time visiting this hotel after visiting during August last year. With the covid crisis going on, as a family we had decided on not going on holiday this summer. But after seeing an amazing deal online for the Korumar,we decided that we would would return. Although both myself and partner thought the Kourmar would be safe and clean during our stay; we were still taken a back by how professional and serious the hotel was taking the covid crisis. As soon as we booked they sent us the documentation about how the hotel had changed to provide safe condidtions. On arrival at the hotel all guests were temperature checked and made to social distance. All bags were santizied and then we were checked in quickly. The rooms are beautiful and cleaned every day to a very high standard. The hotel restaurants tables have now been spaced out more and on your table is a bottle of hand sanitizer. The buffet has been covered by perspex. All chefs, waiters etc are wearing masks and they will give you as little or as much as you want. Similar to last year there was excellent choice everyday. Make sure you try the stringy Turkish cheese ! All the bar staff are excellent, very friendly and always ask how your day has been. On to the entertainment team. It is clear that these guys have had there work cut out this year .Last year there was about 20 members this year only 5. But this has not affected them they work tirelessly to make sure you and family are ok and will try there best to help you. The shows are also very well done. However, we did miss the beach party that they ran last year. But it is understandable why they couldn't run that this year. Shout out to Romeo who remembered our children from last year and was helpful, chatty and a great laugh. And finally the pool is as good as it looks in the pictures and the beach is beautiful and hardly anyone goes on it. Thank you again to everyone at the Korumar you made us feel safe and relaxed and I would recommended this hotel to anyone. So if you see a good deal online for the Korumar I would go for it.…
Me and my family miss the hotel so so much!! We couldn’t have gone to a better, cleaner hotel! The staff there are so polite, the food is outstanding and the animation team are absolutely faultless! My daughter was never out of the kids club day and night. Thank you to Mario, Romeo, Aynur and the rest of the wonderful team for everything you do and all your hard work you do to keep us all entertained! We are coming back in August next year for 2 weeks and we really do hope we get to see the team again!! I couldn’t imagine the hotel without them there! See you in 2021 x
Well, having had 3 holidays cancelled due to Covid it was a relief to finally be able to take myself, wife, daughter, her hubby and our 3 grandkids away..... We chose this hotel over the weekend Spain got locked down (we were due to go to Majorca having had 2 Turkey holidays already cancelled)so knew very little about it as we travelled 48 hours after booking.... Jet2 were awesome, sorted the change out beautifully, no hassle at all. Manchester Airport was a breeze, check in through to departure easy and smooth....onboard masks were required other than when eating or drinking, staff great... On arrival at Izmir we had a private transfer booked...small hiccup as car for 4 was waiting, however as it turned out there was another "Warren" party booked for our hotel...odds on that???. Quickly resolved and 50 mins later we arrived at the hotel. What a spot.....first impressions were it was virtually brand new ( confirmed as having been built 2 years ago and this being their first season. Covid measures in place from entering the hotel, sanitiser posts and temperature checks taken, we checked in to be told it was optional as to whether guests wore masks all the time. Tue staff did, but they said it was common sense to leave the choice to the individual rather than them have to police it and potentially spoil your holiday. Having been allocated our rooms a little chat with Mustafa on reception got us swapped to 2 beautiful rooms with a swim up pool...everyone was chuffed to bits. Waterparks and pool areas Fantastic, plenty of pools to chose from, loads of space, great kiddies water park and great choice of rides in the adult / older kids onsite water park. Lifeguards on duty for the majority of the day and snackbar and poolbar available. Inflatables allowed in all pools Restaurants We only used the main restaurant and snackbar when there, as there were 7 of us. No problems joining tables together and the restaurant staff were great, considering the hotel had only opened 3 weeks earlier they were obviously getting used to the new measures and routines so service was different to previous AI holidays we have done. Great selection at all mealtimes, individually wrapped cutlery, sanitiser on every table, everything swapped, sprayed and replaced after each user had left. Onsite Shops etc Various gifts shops, spa and photoshop, Tba the spa was quite pricey and the photographers can be a bit of a pain patrolling the pool daily and in our case collaring the grandkids...in the end we had to tell them to stop as it got irritating. Also when you go to check out the pics they are charging around £7 per photo which in these days of awesome phone camera's is a rip off. Prices in the gift shop are a little higher than Kusadasi, but dont be put off by nothing having a price on it...the young lad who runs the shop likes a bit of haggling lol.... Animation / Kids Club Team.... What a bunch of stars they are.... Romeo, Aynur, Soso, Dj Mario and the others whose names I never got are awesome....they keep the kids amused all day if thats what you like, my grandkids had never really shown any interest before other than the mini disco at night but this time they got involved in the t shirt and dand painting, modelling show, kite flying etc.... my grandson also came to play darts with me and his dad each day for a laugh and ended up winning one day (without cheating lol) I also have to give a mention to the fantastic customer relations team.... we woke one morning to find water pouring through the light fittings in our bathroom and a football size hole in the ceiling above the showerhead....one phone call and 30 minutes later we were moved and settled into a new room next door to my daughter still with a swim up pool. The staff couldnt do enough for us and my son in law spotted a plasterer going into our old room 2 hours later.....try getting that done in the UK so quickly lol... All in all a fantastic holiday, all the staff were brilliant and made sure you could have a fantastic holiday.... Can't wait to go back🤘🤘🤘🤘 "Warren 2" 😆😆😆😆😆…
We booked with this hotel in a frantic last minute change from our original holiday to Mallorca after the quarantine rules were brought in. The hotel is fantastic and their staff can't do more for you. COVID They have adapted to consider covid related issues and provide hand sanitizer throughout the hotel. All their staff wear masks and hotel guests are told that if they do not wish to wear one, it wouldn't be enforced and so the majority of guests (including ourselves) chose not to wear them and remained within their own groups. You can ask at the desk for a fresh mask if you require one. The animation team encouraged distancing with the kids when dancing at the mini disco but not to the point that it spoils fun. Meals are a little different in that instead of helping yourself to the all inclusive buffet, you are now served the food which is kept in lidded trays behind glass. This change isn't particularly problematic although its a little more difficult to see what it looks like before you ask for it. HOTEL The hotel is kept clean and hygienic including public areas and toilets. The rooms are beautiful and I thoroughly recommend one of the swim up rooms which allow you to walk straight into a pool from your balcony. My only gripe was that they provided really small blankets on their enormous beds which meant my husband ended up with nothing once I'd wrapped myself up in it. The cleaning staff come in every day to tidy the room and refill your fridge with drinks (coke, fizzy orange, water) which is free of charge. You also have coffee, milk and sugar provided in the room every day. Reception team are efficient and polite, they are happy to help you with anything and will bend over backwards to make sure you have a good stay. ANIMATION TEAM These guys are fantastic and my kids absolutely loved them. We go on holiday every year and have never used the kids clubs until this holiday when the kids saw what the others were doing and actually asked if they could join in. During the day they will do activities with the kids such as kite flying, disco dancing, tshirt painting or watching a little circus, one of the team will bring them back to you at the poolside if your kids decide they want to leave and go swimming instead. Of a nighttime there is always a mini disco and entertainment for them. My daughter has now decided she wants to be part of an animation team when she gets older! The team put on all sorts of entertainment of an evening for adults too with Bingo, movie/song quizzes (with a twist), fire shows, dancing and more. The team members go out of their way to learn your names and get to know you. They are multilingual and work their backsides off. FACILITIES There is a pool that runs directly infront of the swim up rooms which is quieter if you want to just float around on a lilo without getting splashed and there is an absolutely huge pool in the main area that sections off by bridges but actually joins in a large circle with a bar in the middle of it. The is a kids splash park (but the water is decidedly colder) and another splash park with larger slides for older kids and adults. Pool water is cold enough to be refreshing but not so cold that you dread jumping into it (with the exception of the kids splash pool which is bloody freezing) The main restaurant I already mentioned has specific opening times but there is also a snack bar that serves out of meal times. There is a gym which I fully intended on using but.. Didnt...but it looks good. A spa for massages and an on site shop. **one point that was an issue for me was that there is no where to buy cigarettes anywhere on the premises and you have to go into town to get cigs so, shortly after arriving i thought I could simply go into the shop and get a pack and found i needed a taxi into town to buy a bulk of them to last the holiday** The restaurants have a smoking area and none smoking area. There is a photoshop also but I found the guys in there to be fairly irritating, they wander round the pool trying to get snaps of your family and then sell them to you (and the photos are fairly pricey). They can start to become pests so you have to be firm in telling them to go away. There is a bar that's open 24 hours on the top balcony and other smaller bars throughout the hotel which serve through to about midnight. The beach is at the bottom of the hotel grounds, less than a 2 minute walk. It's a beautiful beach with sun loungers and parasols, a wooden walkway down to the sea (if you don't want to walk in the sand) and it's kept clean and rubbish free. All in all we had a brilliant holiday and highly recommend the hotel. Its great for families but caters to everyone. Covid is thought about and measures are put in place but nothing effects your holiday in any way and its a nice change to be able to sit for a week without that virus being at the forefront of everything you do. I also recommend a trip to ephesus ruins, they are absolutely amazing but make sure your taxi driver drops you off and goes away, ours insisted on waiting for us which put an extra 150 lira on the bill! They can be quite pushy so be firm in paying them when they drop you off so they don't try push you into letting then wait for you.…
We stayed in this hotel for two weeks as a family of four. The hotel is spotless & the food is plentiful & delicious. The kids club, entertainment team Mario, Romeo , Soso, Aynur & Ayain are all absolutely amazing, keeping the kids & adults fully entertained. All the staff are hard working & lovely, can’t do enough to ensure you have a wonderful holiday. It’s a well run hotel with covid-19 safety measures in place. We feel safe , happy & relaxed. I would highly recommend this hotel for both adults and kids & hope to return next year .
