it was supposed to be a Hostel-Pension run by a couple. But my Lonley Planet is 2007 and is no longer run by a couple. Actually a smoking and drinking man is Always there. More like Oz than Turkish. Hostel was empty so I was alone, cheap price and good position - very closed to the Otogar. also they bring... More

I recently returned from 39 days in Turkey, Greece, and Italy...and altho I prefer Italy and Greece over Turkey, luckily I had saved the best for last...I stayed my final 4 nights in Turkey at the Kiwi Pension, run by Alison from Kent in the UK. What a fabulous experience! The room was large, comfortable and very affordable...along with a... More

Stayed at Kiwi Pension for a one night stop over to see Ephesus. The staff were very friendly, room was a good value and the free breakfast and ride to Ephesus were bonuses. I recommended this place to other travellers as I thought it was a good value.

Pros: Super close to the bus station. The owner is very friendly and helpful. She organized our ferry to Greece with one phone call. The night time staff are nice to but their English isn't very good. The breakfast was yummy and filling. The double room with the private bath is pretty nice with enough room to move around. The... Helpful and friendly owner (Alison) and staff made our stay very pleasant. Pension room, with ensuite and air-conditioning, was clean and well presented. Being close to the otogar meant ease of access to the surrounding sights but Selcuk also has many worthwhile places to see. The recommended Ejder Restaurant was a winner!

This inexpensive hostel near the bus station in Selcuk was a perfect resting place for the rigours of exploring the extreme past and present which is Selcuk. Levant, the man on the desk, was as helpful as he could be, and this was just fine. I took the cheapest room which, with the fan, was all I needed in the... More

My girlfriend and I stayed the Kiwi pension in July and August 2012. Kiwi pension is located very near to the bus station, which makes it easy to enter and leave the town. The owner Alison gave us some great tips to explore the region which paid off very well. The breakfast is good but a quite basic turkish one.... More

The hearty breakfast with fresh fruit and tons of bread, and having access to a pool, albeit quite a distance away, were the highlights of our stay at Kiwi. While the rooms could use a more personal, creative touch, ours was clean and, thank god, had air-conditioning because when we visited Selcuk it was hot, hot, hot! Alison was very... More

The owner, Ms Alison, is an English lady that will help you with directions, make tour reservations for you and provide you with restaurant suggestions. The pension provides a clean basic room with 1 bath towel per person, hand soap, and hair dryer. No other bath ammenities. They also have wi-fi which may or may not work in your room.... More

“The first floor upstairs with a balcony over the street was very nice. Since I live only 1 km. from the beach in Florida, I did NOT go to the swimming pool, but I heard it was a nice place.”
