Hotel guest service. Polite and willing to help and support. Great location close to the metro, trams and buses. Very clean and cozy. From room 502 there is a stunning view of the mosques, the city skyline and the Bosphorus. Unfortunately, there are no nice views from other hotel rooms - you can see other blocks and streets. We recommend room 502 on the top floor to everyone.

The hotel was comfy and clean. Good location. Friends were interested in towel. Fuat Beye greetings. Rooms are spotlessly cleaned and my room was genistic. The staff were guler-worthy. The room has it all. A hotel I’ll want when I get back

Firstly, I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past; it is in an excellent location (once you find it), the staff were always immensely friendly, polite and helpful, the rooms clean and spacious, the breakfasts good, and the prices very economical. I kept coming back for a reason.
However, on my latest trip I arrived, hot and tired, to be told that my booking had been moved to their other hotel in Sultanahmet, because a guest had decided they wanted to stay on longer. This didn't suit me - I had an appointment with a friend nearby, and perhaps my main reason for choosing this hotel was because of its location. I reluctantly agreed, since there didn't seem to be any alternative, other than dragging my suitcase outside and looking for an alternative hotel. At first I was offered a free cab to the other hotel, then this offer was withdrawn (!) and it was suggested I could walk to the metro. Eventually we agreed that my suitcase would be delivered to the Sultanahmet hotel in a few hours' time, while I would make my own way there. This suited me fine.
On arriving at the Sultanahmet hotel, I was told that I would in fact be staying in a new 'suite', which was a minute or so's walk away from the hotel in a separate building. The outside of this building was not promising! Broken glass in the entrance door window, and generally very shabby. Inside, however, I did indeed have a whole apartment to myself - bathroom, bedroom and kitchenette, clean, newly decorated, and very pleasant, if still not quite finished (no tap in the bathroom sink, for example, although this wasn't an issue as there was one in the kitchen area). This was far more than I could expect for the price I was paying, so they had obviously done their best to make up for moving me.
I clearly caught the hotel at a bad time, and on my past experiences I would still recommend staying here. However, I'd suggest double checking that you will indeed be staying in the location you want to stay in, if this matters to you. The staff are very pleasant, and I'll still be going back if I have to stay in Istanbul again, but a little more warily this time.

On a scale of 5 C-minus. If you book an economy room, it's probably in the basement with no window. That's what we got. We were persuaded to change our room to a deluxe room with a surcharge of 20 euros per night, in another building. One of the guys at reception turned out to be ham-fisted, helping carry only one bag out of two to the room, saying something like he wasn't a porter. The room is old, far from clean. The towels are very tired and grey. Cleaned daily, that's a plus. And the hair dryer is great. When we asked where to go for breakfast, they told us we weren't supposed to have breakfast. Faced with our confusion, they double-checked and said breakfast was in another hotel, good thing it's not far. In general, sleeping 3 nights is possible, but without high

Pretty on the picture, but the reality is terrible. The rooms were smoothed. The hotel offers rooms in the underground. The rooms were stinking. It was damp and hot in them, breathing badly. We had to find another hotel!

Excellent service provided by the young management and administration team (Very well-done everybody and keep it up!). Always willing to help and serve smilingly. Very nice Turkish breakfast with ample choices. Best possible location for us as we could walk to and through Istiklal Avenue to Taksim square every evening and at night have local food on the Avenue or near Galata Tower. Most metro lines and trams are at 5/10 minutes' walking distance, which is a big bonus. You can walk down to the Galata Bridge, New Bridge, and Ataturk Bridge over the Golden Horn and reach Spice Market and New Mosque. Other historical attractions in Sultanahmet area like Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, etc. are easily accessible by tram. The rooms at the hotel are well-equipped with everything required for at least a 3-star hotel. It's new and they are still in the process of furnishing, so it'll only get better. They don't have a lift for higher floors so people with special needs must not book. If you are looking for shopping, Istiklal Avenue is the best place or you can reach Grand Bazaar by tram in 10 minutes. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel to everybody looking for a place to stay, regardless of the reason for the trip, in the heart of Istanbul at an extremely reasonable rate.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel, I can recommend it for almost everybody who has some condition for climbing ;) + At first the best staff with very good english! They are open to help in any topic. + Very clean and renovated room with nice decoration + air conditioning, TV, wi-fi, terrace + Convenient localisation, close to Istiklal Street, Galata Tower, Sishane Metro Station (300m), Karakoy tram station and pier (800m) - no elevator - a little boring breakfast - window view
Thank you very much - I will recommend your hotel to all my friends!

Actually the name is misleading, the hotel is not in taksim at all its in totally different area. The taxi from taxim tried to reach the hotel using navigation and failed and we ended up walking with our bags between abandoned buildings to reach the hotel. When we reached we were surprised that the hotel is more like furnished apartment and has no elevators. The kind size bed is actually similar to a single and half bed in other hotels. We asked for a refund and the employee (fuat is his name) refused rudely and we demanded talking to his manager who was more rude. Another thing if you are planning for a trip with a tourism company they find it difficult to locate the hotel to pick you up. And last but not least the area surrounding you is full of shops selling plumbing and electrical items.
Arrived at 1:00 pm and the room wasn’t ready Check out is at 11:00 am!
Pleasant things: The location of the hotel turned out to be great, you just have to figure your way around. 10 minutes walk to galata tower 15 minutes walk to the end of istikalal street 15 minutes walk to the ferries port (going to many destinations like princes islands) 10 minutes walk to the metro station
If I would go again I would not stay in the same hotel, but i might think of other hotels in the same location
