We stayed at W Istanbul from Aug 18 to Aug 22 this summer. The hotel simply exceeded my expectations in terms of the service provided, the helpfulness and friendliness of its staff, and its unbeatable location. In our past visits to Istanbul, we stayed at various luxury hotels in Istanbul, but I think from now on, W Istanbul will be our choice. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids ages 11 and 15. We booked two rooms on the lower level, with connecting beautiful backyards/patios. I booked via phone calling from NY, and Murat on the reservation desk was extremely helpful. He even provided an upgrade for one of the rooms and a free breakfast. So even before we flew in and checked in, I was happy. I am originally from Istanbul but have been living abroad for the last 25 years. For this trip, I initially chose W Hotel because of its central location and easy access to the neighborhoods of Istanbul that I love, both on the European and Asian sides. The neighborhood of Akaretler has been nicely transformed over the years and became more chic and cool. The hotel provides easy access to nice restaurants, coffee shops, shops, art galleries, etc. During our entire stay, our older son was sick. The hotel staff always inquired about him, recommended doctors/hospitals, sent tea and honey to our room, accommodated our request for him to have breakfast in his room from the buffet without extra cost, etc. They had a nurse on-site to do PCR or antigen testing and we received my son's test results in the same day, as promised (nothing serious at the end, he had a bacterial infection and was fine after 4 days with antibiotics) Arriving in Istanbul, we were thinking we would eat all our breakfasts outside of the hotel, by the seaside enjoying the Bosphorus. However, after trying the breakfast buffet at the hotel and seeing the quality of the food and the service, on the subsequent days we ended up eating at the hotel. Special thanks to Sinem, Murat, Faruk, Rasim, and Ozkan who were extremely helpful and made us feel at home. Istanbul was the third leg of a month-long vacation in Europe for us, and despite the health problems our older son had, this leg of the trip was the most comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable part for us, thanks to the treatment we got from the W Istanbul staff. Besides the service, we were very happy with the cleanliness and size of the rooms, and the cool/hip decor of the hotel. Having said that, I think some of the room carpets could use some updating. Overall, I would strongly recommend W Istanbul to all of my friends visiting Istanbul. I can't think of a better place to stay than W while visiting Istanbul. Aysu Secmen

This is my home away from home in Istanbul. I have been a frequent visitor to the W Istanbul since three years. The rooms comfort and beds are amazing for a good night sleep. The drinks and food including the great breakfast buffet are really high quality including heathy options. Special thanks to Mr.Murat Ozturk in guest relations who is always sensitive to our needs. Also, big THANK You to Mr.Nihat - your cocktails mixology is AMAZING ! 😊 Thanks guys and keep it up 👍🏽👍🏽

With the extreme heat of the summer, there were occasional brown outs of electricity, which was very inconvenient with the a/c, WiFi, etc… BUT, the service was fantastic, and Sinem was particularly a joy to be around. She provided excellent care at the breakfasts each morning and made sure to supply me with plenty of caffeine and good wishes for each day 🥰
