New York City

I stayed at the Amiral Palace for a couple of nights at the end of a week in Istanbul. The location is convenient to Hagia Sofya, the Blue Mosque and most of the old part of the city. The room was clean, fairly small, but functional. The biggest issue was the noise. I was in room 208, which is located...

The hotel staff were all relatively friendly and helpful. English was a bit of an issue but most people i've met have the same problem. The rooms were clean and tidy. Not too small. Breakfast was great. Nothing special but worth waking up for. It surrounded by little restaurants and shops in a nice quiet neighborhood. 15 min walk to...

Booked having read TA reviews. Not disappointed. Nice hotel, small but quaint rooms, clean and tidy. Cigdem went out of her way to help with sightseeing information and help with taxis. Hotel is in a great location close to Blue Mosque and other cultural sites and places of interest. Trams, and buses close by. River trips 20 minute walk. Grand...

This was our yearly vacation together, and my husband and I were convinced we had made the perfect choice. Istanbul and the Amiral! The hotel is situated strategically. Close to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, the Sultanahmet hub, and on a quiet street for those who want some peace in the evenings. From the terrace you have a gorgeous...

From our very first inquiry the Front Office & Sales Manager Mr. Yasin Deyirmenci's promptness, willingness to accommodate our many and varied requests and personal attention to detail, was a relief and pleasure to work with. Taking a group of senior scientists from several different countries for a meeting coordinated in a country I'd never been to would be challenging...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
