The hotel is located just outside the wall of Topkapi palace park wall. A short walk to Hagia Sophia. While the hotel offers great food and include breakfast, you can find many restaurants within few hundred yards. Going to Galata Bridge is about 10-15 minute walk. 5-10 minutes walk to Marmaray ( subway) to get to anywhere in Istanbul. The staff is friendly and speaks good English. The room is clean and house keep every day. You can view the park from your window and there is a roof top to see the beautiful nightly skyline of the city. If you are new to Istanbul, recommend to contact the hotel manager before your trip to arrange airport transport. It removes many anxiety you might have when traveling to a new city. Highly recommend this hotel.
It was our second time in Sirkeci Mansion Hotel and as expected, it was a fantastic experience! Every staff member, from the front desk to the cleaning staff are delightful and incredibly helpful. You can literally see, that they love their guests! The amenities are also great. The room is big, clean and much better and bigger than on the pictures. Breakfast is just amazing, like a 5 Star Restaurant. We can't wait to travel to Istanbul again and stay at this amazing Hotel! SIRKECI MANSION, THANK YOU!
Wonderful hotel on the doorstep of all the big attractions in old Istanbul, literally minutes from Hagia Sophia Cistern Basilica and Topkapi Palace and museums. The hotel is comfortable with amenities such as swimming pool that we didn't use. A lovely welcome of turkish delight in our room on arrival and a nice selection of choices for breakfast. To cap it all if you are lucky enough to be here on a Wednesday you can take advantage of a fascinating guided tour (approx 3 hours) totally free of charge even though it includes taxi, ferry and tram rides, truly unmissable.
We stayed here for five nights after visiting Uzbekistan and it felt like a real luxury after some of our previous hotels. My wife and I were both suffering head/ chest colds (I was at the beginning stages). I couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable and helpful place to be sick, Okay, Fatime and the entire staff went out of their way to help with getting us medicines, making special tea/ honey concoctions and offering to get us medical help, we felt so “cared for”! Despite our colds, we thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful hotel, perfect location right across from scenic Gulhane Park adjacent to the sights, quiet safe neighborhood with excellent restaurants minutes walk away, fabulous wide variety and fresh breakfast every morning and an incredible 1/2 walking tour of lesser seen but incredible sights hosted by Okay (no extra cost!!!) which was one of the very best tours we have ever taken. We stayed in one of their “basic” rooms which belt like an upgrade to us. Comfortable bed, fastidious house keeping, plenty of bottled water and Turkish Delights replenished everyday! Merkeci Mansion is A+++, book it!!!!…
Fantastic staff, so helpful, nothing was too much or too hard! Great hotel, spacious room and in a central position in Istanbul so close to the major tourist sites and public transport. Would definitely recommend this one.
The location of this hotel is excellent--located across a narrow, untrafficked street from Gulhane Park, an easy walk from Topkapi Palace and Aya Sofya. Because the street is not really a through-street, our taxi left us off near the tram stop. The tram is only 150 feet away, but it was a little disconcerting rolling our bags to the door of the hotel. Nevertheless, Taya Hatun Street is very quiet. We felt very safe on the streets, even at night. The staff is professional, the breakfasts were hearty with great variety, and our stay was very enjoyable. Our room on the second floor was rather narrow and small, but we do not travel with the expectation of spending much time in the room other than sleeping. The beds were comfortable.
I highly recommend this hotel. Great location, walking distance to Ayasofya, Topkapi and other major attractions. We stayed in Deluxe room, top floor with balcony and view over park. Super comfortable bad. Room was spacious and clean with awesome vintage aesthetics. But best of all is personnel. This was a birthday trip and upon arrival we were greeted with a cake and candles. They were consistently making sure our stay was comfortable. Everybody on staff spoke good English. Food places that were recommended to us were spot on. Also, great breakfast! Every day there were some new additions to the buffet, like different kinds of omelets, pastries and spreads. Will definitely stay at this hotel whenever we visit Istanbul again. What a charming place.
All staff were excellent, very hospitable, helpful and reliable. The service queality was exceptional. I was satisfied with everything they did for me. The breakfast was so delicious. The room was so comfortable and spacious. All room facilities workewd very well. The location was perfect, very convenient for both sightseeing and business. I stayed this hotel twice, in September 2022 and stayed again in January 2023. I will choose this hotel again when I visit Istanbul next time. This hotel is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in many countries. …
A return visit at the end of November 2022, to the best small hotel in the city, IMO! Friendly staff, clean, well appointed rooms, and a delightful breakfast buffet. The hotel is being discovered by independent travelers from many countries. It was interesting to listen to the different languages being spoken at breakfast. The breakfast buffet is large, with many choices, and for different kind of diets. In the afternoon, little Simit sandwiches are served with Turkish tea. A gréât way to unwind after sightseeing and shopping. Just an FYI… the store vendors on the small street are friendly and polite. They may say hello as you pass, but none of them do the « hello, lady « annoying conversation like in some parts of the city. The hotel location is in sight of the Gulhane tram stop, and from there, it’s easy to access the historical attractions. I hope to return again to this oasis of calm and comfort in a truly magical city. The staff could not make me feel more welcome!…
The hotel is historic and lovely, and the staff is positively amazing-kind, welcoming, and pampering. You will be well cared for! The setting is quiet and close to a large park, as well as all of the major tourist sights in Istanbul. In addition to all of the rest, the breakfast is wonderful. Highly recommend!
