Had a great stay at the Sura Hagia Sophia. A perfect location to see all the landmarks Istanbul offers (inc. the Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Hippodrome) and had an outdoor pool which the kids really enjoyed. The staff were extremely attentive, a special shout-out to Emily who was excellent at remembering our entire groups orders at breakfast (all 11 of us!) and was great with the children too. Her service contributed to a memorable stay, thanks Emily!

It is hard to beat the location of The Sura Hagia Hotel in Istanbul. I'd recommend the hotel purely based on the location which is in short walking distance from few of the main attractions (Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, etc.) and the Tramway is also within a short walking distance. Excellent customer service and great concierge services. The hotel itself is not a solid 4 star hotel but good enough. There are a few sections of the hotel, here and there, that may need some upkeeping. The Spa is a bit small.

The Sura Hagia Sophia Hotel is very close to all the best tourist spots in Istanbul ie the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia Mosque & the Bosphorus. Also close to shopping & restaurants. We had excellent service from staff & we had all good amenities im our room. We were very happy with our stay at the Sura Sophia Hotel.

The location is super amazing and the concierge Kadir is one of the best helpful staff you will ever need to guide you to all the super amazing locations and attractions. Seek out kadir and everything will be managed for you. All the cool places are around this location

I was somewhat disappointed. Truth be told, the interior design of my room doesn’t really agree with my design sensibilities. But I went with the majority and booked the hotel either way. As for the room’s hard product, the room chairs were hard and uncomfortable to sit in. The bath was serviceable but the towels and toiletries were not. The in room slippers were flimsy. The mattress was okay. People complement the breakfast. However, I found myself tired of the breakfast offerings by my second day. I can’t say why, I just did. The pastries on offer were the best thing on the buffet. The hotel was replacing hallway carpets during my stay. The chemical smell from the carpet glue (I am guessing) wafted through the hallways. That smell was not pleasant. The hotel also has a weird room numbering convention. In other hotels the location of a room numbered, for example, 2104, is easy to figure out. Your room is on the 21st floor and you follow directional signs once you reach floor 21. Not so with the rooms at the Sura. If a porter does not guide you, you won’t find your room. Guaranteed. The staff were uneven. The people at breakfast were friendly and service oriented overall but the front desk people I interacted with were generally not. English proficiency among the staff varied as well. Location wise, the hotel’s located in the old part of Istanbul and literally walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and other sites. The immediate area is filled with myriad restaurants as well. If you’re a tourist looking to visit the main sites with very little hassle, the location is very good. Thanks for reading.…

The RUDEST reservation team I have ever experienced! They double charged for my room. My booking was for 3 nights. I forgot about it and thought that it was for 2 nights. So, I booked online for another 1 night. Then, I realized that and did try to solve that out. However, I met the RUDEST people!!! The Hotel accommodate lots of people from Middle East, at 02:00 - 03:00 am, people were running on the hallway and shouting!!! I called reception many times but this never stopped. So, I was awake till morning and just joined my tour. My holiday was vandalized!!!!!!

Lovely hotel. Great service- cleaning, reception and breakfast staff all lovely Always service with a smile, and great how the staff don’t wait around for tips! Hotel could be a bit more baby friendly, pushchair access to lifts not great.

Comfortable, stylish room, large by western european standards. Extensive breakfast buffet including traditional Turkish cuisine. Surrounded by restaurants, including a Michelin rated place next door. Less than two blocks to the tram which links up with other lines to take you most places you want to go. Walking distance to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Topkapi Palace and the Archeology Museum. Shout out to Kadir, the waiter in the in-house restaurant who patiently and enthusiastically explained all the dishes in the traditional Ramadan dinner he served me.
