It’s a small hotel having not bad view from its restaurant and terrace. Open terrace is quite small, I’d say very small but good enough when there is not much people. When it’s cool outside, there are not any :) There is also sea view...More

With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

The hotel is located about 8-10 mins walking distance to Sultanahmet Tram Stop. If you would be using the public transport from Ataturk Airport, you will need to take the subway to Zeytinburnu and switch to the tram to reach the main square of Sultanahmet.
Alternatively, the hotel provides airport transfer service from Ataturk Airport for 25 Eur for one way, or for 45 Eur for both ways.

I reviewed the hotel, be sure your room is not near noisy construction. We did not have a guide in Istanbul, we used guide books and a website called Turkey Travel Planner. We used an agency called Efendi Travel located in Istanbul to arrange bookings and tickets, perhaps they can help you arrange a guide. Also, be sure to purchase an Istanbulkart which will give you discounts on major attractions. The kiosk is located to the left of the entrance to Hagia Sofia.

I suggest finding a reputable licensed guide. Search it here at trip advisor. I would not reli this hotel for a good guide. This hotel, probably most of the ones in this part of Istanbul are geared to give as little as possible service for a lot of money. They won't charge you directly, but they charge anyone they connect you with.
I knew that, that's why I walked out to get a taxi from the taxi-stop around the corner. Taxi driver was hesitant to drive 150ft (50m) to get my suite cases. I was shocked!? I found out on the way to airpor that the hotel was charging each taxi a fee for picking up a guest from the hotel. Even when the guest brings the taxi....
Upon arrival I searched for the taxi meter to pay.. The taxi driver had "forgotten" to turn it on. So I ended up paying 25% more than I had paid 3 days earlier for the same drive.
I would stay away from hotels and other business around that side of Istanbul.
